"It sounded better it my head, it sounds kind of clunky out loud though." Ruina shrugs,"I wouldn't call it clunky." It was actually kind of sweet. She still found it adorable that Enzo had been reduced to a stuttering mess when he'd tried to confess his feelings for her. It was something that Ruina would remember forever. Of course, Ruina probably wasn't much better. Perhaps she didn't stutter, but she didn't know a whole lot about the realm of romance. Or dating... She'd never had a boyfriend, or even a crush. So all of this was new to her and she was terrified of messing it up. She could only hope that Enzo would simply find her mistakes endearing, or amusing. Hopefully not annoying and with any luck, her lack of knowledge of romance would not push him away. She wanted to be with Enzo. She could see them together, enjoying the little things in life. Perhaps some actual dates, doing things that most royals didn't do. Commonfolk things. Simply because she knew that life as a commonfolk was simpler, for the most part. She was looking forward to bringing Enzo to Truhan. She couldn't wait to introduce him to her family, except her father, and the other friends she had among Truhan. Which were mainly the other warriors. Something that she wanted to take Enzo to do was getting on a boat. She couldn't help but wonder if the wereleopard had what they called, sea legs, or if he would stumble around like most who were not use to the rocking sea did.
Ruina takes a few steps and then she was in the hallway, Enzo right behind her. She hesitated for a mere second before continuing onward, moving down the hall. They had some people looking at them, but it started getting worse when Enzo moved to beside Ruina. However the werewolf simply ignored them all. She could hear the whispering, she felt the stares. But she didn't care. Rumors were rumors and there wasn't much you could do to stop them. Ruina's gaze stayed forward, she had no interest in any of the other wereanimals in the hall. Why would she? She had a group of amazing friends, why risk ruining the dynamic and adding more. And Enzo? Well, already it was pretty damn perfect, so she definitely would not be eyeing any male wereanimals.
It would be interesting to see how Enzo dealt with males staring at Ruina. She would admit that there were many males who have approached her, many times, trying to be her suitor. She had turned them down time and time again. Until she'd started falling for Enzo, she found no interest or need for such a thing. And now that she was with Enzo, she would make it clear that she was taken. But how would Enzo deal with any possible males who may come up? She knew some boyfriends could be protective over their girlfriends and didn't like other males trying to pursue her. Ruina wasn't trying to say she did get a lot of attention from males, or that she thought so highly of herself that there would be fights over her. But, she did understand a little of possibilities in the future.
As they reached her room, Ruina reached for her door handle, but withdrew slightly as Enzo also went for the door. "Sorry, I suppose you can open the door to your own room for yourself." Ruina chuckles slightly, flashing a smile at Enzo as she opens the door, stepping inside. She heard the snickers from a group of wereanimals passing, but once again, she ignored them. She steps out of the way to allow Enzo into the room, before closing the door behind him. She turns around slowly, waiting for his reaction. Did he like her awfully bland room? She'd never felt insecure about her room until now.
The walls were a neutral kind of grey as was the bed. There were hints of blue among the bedspread, but not a whole lot. She had a book open on her desk, well it was one of her sketchbooks actually. It was a almost finished drawing of a dragon. Her bookshelf was mainly empty with only one or two other sketchbooks just randomly on the shelf's. Her sword hung on the wall, with the scabbard beside it. The sword was a silver steel while the scabbard was black with the Truhan royal sigil on it. The sword had been named Narcoleptic, and had been passed down throughout her family for generations. The sword and scabbard were basically her own decoration in the entire room.
Ruina takes a step towards her bathroom,"Um, feel free to sit wherever. It shouldn't take me long to get ready," She then disappears into her bathroom, closing the door behind her. Ruina stares at herself in the mirror, she looked like she'd had no sleep, which was basically true. With a sigh, she snags some clothes. All she really had in her bathroom, most her clothes were in the dresser in her room, were some grey sweats and a random black hoodie. Ruina frowns, but she didn't want to go out to fetch some clothes and the sweats and hoodie were clean. So she grabs some clean undergarments and changes. Next she yanked a brush through her hair and put it up in a ponytail, and she figured the least she could do was spray on some perfume.
She preferred vanilla, so she sprayed a little of that on, and with a final look in the mirror, she opens the door and steps back into her bedroom. She honestly felt like she could have dressed better, but figured it would be fine for now. Ruina didn't even know if she'd make it all day, the idea of skipping some classes and getting in a power nap was really appealing to the werewolf.

"I wouldn't call it clunky." Enzo’s brow arched slightly, waiting to hear a worse term. When it didn’t come though, the wereleopard merely assumed at best his made up title was laughable. Could’ve been worse. And indeed it very much could have been. Not in terms of offense or anything like that, but the cheesy factor could have amplified. Enzo would much rather cheesy than stuttering though. Now that was embarrassing. Cute in a sense, he’ll admit, but he personally desired a much more graceful execution of his confession. Enzo could entertain the thoughts of some of his mistakes to come, because surely he’s bound to mess up in some way or another, preferably with less stuttering though. But he honestly found it easier that Ruina had little experience in the relationship department. There was no one he could be compared to, no one of the past to compete with, and haughtily he can say he’s so great he’ll be Ruina’s first and last. Her one and only. Admittedly one of the scariest things Enzo has ever heard is “if you’re dating a girl, you're dating her family too”. Not in a literal sense… obviously, but the weight of the meaning still hit hard. With Amber, he already knew her parents to some degree. And more importantly, he knew what to expect from them. Ruina and her family? Ruina having brothers? Well, this would be uncharted territory for him. He assumed he wouldn’t be berated in any way, or by overprotective siblings or parents, but assumptions are dangerous. While Enzo wasn’t interested in trying to pretend to be different from his usual self just to impress, however if a single soul in her family didn’t like him for him… ouch. Quite honestly Enzo’s never had anyone to be combative over. If anything, Amber was the self-proclaimed defender in their relationship. He wasn’t lucky enough to have another male approach Amber, and even if one had, Amber would have been quick to shoo them off. The woes of being amazing. No other male rivaled Enzo. Perhaps in looks, status, and personality. It might be his pride talking, but shush, that’s hardly important. For Ruina however, Enzo will both protect and defend what is his. Anything worth value is worth protecting, and Ruina is priceless to him, and in such she will be treated like the one of a kind gem she is to him. Enzo isn’t exactly the kind of guy to throw a fist if another male were to try to engage with Ruina either. No, no. It’s Enzo’s tongue another should worry about. A cold, double edged blade dipped in venom would be the essence of the construct of his words. But delivered in a sweetly spoken, borderline polite tone. Enzo returned a smile to Ruina after their door incident, waiting a moment until he entered behind her. It’s been some time since he’s entered a room of anyone other than Ikaris or Amber, so the evident rush of Ruina’s scent that filled the room was different for the wereleopard. Not that he minded though. He’s always perceived Ruina as always possessing a flattering, faint woodsy scent. It reminded him of the woodlands in Ritha, so he associated Ruina with another positive aspect of his life. Amber eyes traveled the room, taking in the relative simplicity of the interior. “It’s spacious,” he commented with a smile as his eyes finally settled on Ruina, “breathable too. I like it.” It was a great compliment coming from him. Most rooms he’s at least caught glimpses of while passing by were always cluttered, and a bit too decorated and homely. So her room was greatly pleasant to him. "Um, feel free to sit wherever. It shouldn't take me long to get ready.” Giving a nod and watching her disappear behind a closed door, Enzo calmly paced the room. He could sit, but honestly he was drawn to the sword. The male could certainly appreciate any fine piece of weaponry, and what hung on Ruina’s wall? For a weapon’s fanatic, it was lip bite worthy. It looked like it handled wonderfully, and even as Enzo further observed the sword from different angles, he could see how well balanced it was from blade to hilt. Having to tear himself away before he quite literally started salivating from his mild fawning over the sword, his quiet steps moved towards the desk, eyeing the sketch of the dragon. Mm, he could certainly envy her artistic skills. The best he can do is doodle in his combat notebook. Not wanting to be caught though, and convicted of ‘snooping’, Enzo walked to the foot of her bed to sit at the edge. Upon sitting, a curiously impulsive thought beckoned for him to lay back. And he did. I need a better mattress in my room, this is heaven. Compared to Ruina’s bed, Enzo’s was a concrete floor. Not really, his bed had considerable cush to it, but Ruina’s gently cradled his body as if trying to lull him to sleep. Just before he contemplated whether he could get away with closing his eyes for a minute, the sound of the bathroom door opening coaxed him to spring up into a sitting position to tether his eyes to Ruina’s figure. A light waft of vanilla passed over the room, and it paired nicely with her. “Twinsies.” Enzo chuckled as he stood up, gesturing between both of their black hoodies. Clearing his throat to disregard his prior childish word, Enzo turned to reference her sword. “It’s beautiful, too bad I didn't think to show you my own sword last night.” Enzo stated, pausing as he realized that had a dirtier, unintended second meaning. “I mean, technically I have a rapier,” he corrected to fill his brief silence, “black blade, silver crested hilt… but this? Please tell me you take a few swings with it every night. It’s such a pretty device. I’d trade a province in Ritha for a sword like yours.” Enzo spoke, all the while nearing closer to the blade so he could fawn over it once more. They should probably leave the room soon, but he wouldn’t have allowed himself to leave without vocally admiring Ruina’s sword to her.

How would her brothers react to Enzo? How would her mother? Ruina already knew her father would not be happy. The only reason he would be happy is that if Enzo and Ruina stayed together, there would no doubt be a treaty or alliance made between the kingdoms. Besides that, the king would probably not be happy. However, Ruina did not care what her father thought, she gave up on that a long time ago. Her mother would most likely be delighted, especially if she got to know Enzo. Her brothers? Well, she knew they could get overprotective. However, she'd never brought home a boy before. So, she didn't know how they would react in that department.
Ruina would admit, probably not to Enzo's face, that she wanted her brothers and mother to like him. Would she really dump Enzo if her family did not like him? Most likely not, because Ruina liked Enzo for who he was. But, it would help if her family liked him. Mainly because Ruina knew that if her family did not like Enzo and Ruina stayed with Enzo, that would put a wall between her and her family. And she didn't want that. She loved Enzo, but she loved her family as well. If her family demanded so, would she be able to choose between the wereleopard and her family? What would Tarron and Thaola do? Would they stick by the werewolves? Or would they side with Ruina and Enzo? There was always something to worry about, and yet, Ruina felt confident that her family would adore Enzo.
Ruina would admit that she was awkward when it came to conversations like that. She could be the most vocal and social person in the world when it came to talking about battles and wars and strategy, things like that. But if someone came up and tried to flirt with her, she'd be lost. She had no idea what any of that was. She was lost in the terms of flirting or any kind of dating/romance things. So even now, she'd still be incredibly awkward if anyone tried to approach her and flirt or ask her out. Of course, she would deny them, she had Enzo. But she'd be incredibly awkward. Tarron and Thaola liked to tease the werewolf about it, which only made Ruina turn redder.
"It's spacious." It was empty. Ruina returns the smile. "Breathable too. I like it." Ruina relaxes at that, she didn't realize how tensed up she was about that. She didn't think that Enzo would have liked her room since it was so plain. She had meant to find some more decorations for her room, mainly the wall, however she just never got around to it. If anything she'd find pictures of maps, or maybe a bedside table to set some kind of vase on. She had sat down and planned it out, wanting to add a little something to her room. But she always found herself doing something else. And she reasoned with herself that it was useless, she didn't spend enough time in her room to decorate it more.
"Twinsies." Ruina looks down at her clothes before looking back at Enzo, grinning,"Indeed." She did not plan that, it just so happened that was all she had within reach. She watches as Enzo turns toward her sword. "It's beautiful, too bad I didn't think to show you my own sword last night." Ruina couldn't help it, she was kind of dirty minded. However she hides that fact simply saying,"Thank you." "I mean, technically I have a rapier." Okay, at that, Ruina let out a chuckle. "Black blade, silver crested hilt... but this? Please tell me you take a few swings with it every night. It's such a pretty device. I'd trade a province in Ritha for a sword like yours." Ruina leans against the bedpost, she was glad that Enzo liked her sword. She loved it and was glad that she got to inherit it.
"Narcoleptic, the sword of Eternal Damnation." Ruina chuckles,"Quite a name. It was my great-great-great-something grandfather's. Apparently it's been through hell and back." Ruina shrugs,"It's incredibly balanced and is easy to wield. The blade stays constantly sharp and damn, does it make a person bleed." She grins,"That is the sword I take into battle, and yes, I usually practice everyday." She was proud of her sword, despite the stories and legends that surrounded it, it had saved her life more than once. She glances at the clock, they should probably get going, but honestly? Would it hurt to skip a day?
She really wanted some sleep, and Enzo probably could use some more sleep as well. No doubt they'd have to find a secret room or completely barricade the door, because between Ikaris, Thaola, and Tarron they would come find the two. She was half tempted to suggest skipping class, would Enzo go for it? Even if they didn't get some sleep, they could talk. They knew each other, sure, but there was definitely more they could find out about each other. Things they couldn't share before. Wasn't that what couples did? Share things? Tell each other stories?

Fathers and mothers belonging to royalty weren’t too intimidating to Enzo, seems as how in his experience parents who are royals are more business esque than human -or wereanimal, but you get the point-. His own parents and him formed more of a triad of business partners, and hardly resembled an affectionate, functioning family. So if he were to think about meeting Ruina’s parents, he figured it would feel similar to the times he’s had to shake hands with various noblemen and other high ranking individuals in Ritha and Iprihan. The thought of siblings did unnerve him a little, but Enzo figured he could manage. The worst Enzo could foresee happening is if he chooses to bear gifts upon meeting the royals of Truhan… and those gifts being rejected or unappreciated to his face. The wereleopard is even tempered, but he does not take to being offended very well. A blatant disregard of any gestures of goodwill from him would definitely be taken as offensive, and quickly his mood and general energy would sour. He wasn’t interested in making Ruina choose between him or her family, he prayed it would never come to that, but Enzo draws lines where he feels they’re needed. He didn’t think he would be treated poorly by her family though -as if they could beat his own parents- so really the only thing that made him mildly anxious was Ruina’s brothers. Enzo could keep up most conversations of varying topics well, ones centered around flirtations as well, but he knew Ruina wasn’t as much of a flirt as he had the capability of being. Would it stop him from flirting with his new girlfriend though? No. He would insert it from time to time just to see if he can get her flustered enough to blush. Anyone else that dared to try flirting with her though, well, Ruina’s awkwardness would be followed by Enzo’s passive aggressive venom. And if a male couldn’t take a hint after being told off once, they won’t like what they’d be met with a second time. "Indeed." Enzo smiled back, but he thought it was kind of cute. First official day as a couple and they’re already matching. Somewhat. While he figured it wasn’t intentional, it was still a perfect coincidence. "Thank you." Enzo was definitely hoping Ruina didn’t take notice of his former statements' dirtier double meaning, but after she chuckled when he made the technical correction of his sword… yeah, he should have seen that coming -pun not intended here either-. Dear Gods, why can’t I stop? At least his thoughts became distracted once more by the sword on the wall, the one he was obviously in love with. "Narcoleptic, the sword of Eternal Damnation." That name sent pleasurable shivers down Enzo’s spine, and internally he was absolutely frothing over this sword now. “Quite a name. It was my great-great-great-something grandfather's. Apparently it's been through hell and back. It's incredibly balanced and is easy to wield. The blade stays constantly sharp and damn, does it make a person bleed. That is the sword I take into battle, and yes, I usually practice everyday." A star stricken Enzo moved his gaze from the sword to Ruina after she finished speaking. “Historically and ancestrally of importance? I imagine this blade can tell so many wonderful stories. If swords could talk, that is.” He smiled, glancing back to the sword. “If I were to ever be impaled by a sword, I would want this one to have the honors of cutting through me. I don’t know if that makes me psychotic, sociopathic, or a charming blend of both. But I adore this sword that much.” Enzo chuckled, averting his gaze to take a few steps towards Ruina. Stopping in front of her, a small smirk upturned at his lips before he spoke. “I adore you more though, which speaks volumes about my feelings for you.” Ending that statement by leaning down to connect his lips to hers for a brief kiss, when he pulled back his eyes moved to the clock. Did he want to go to class? Ew, no. Is sleep tempting? For Enzo, yes, he’s always ready to sleep. So skipping is tempting. No doubt though Ikaris would wail and wallow later about Enzo abandoning him, but maybe the wereeagle would leach himself to the other Truhan’s in Enzo’s absence. It would give Enzo a break, and it would certainly test Thaola and Tarron’s patience. The wereeagle wouldn’t come looking for either Enzo or Ruina in her room though, a female’s room is natural repellent to Ikaris unless he’s getting something out of using it for a night. Wink, wink. “You’re tired,” Enzo said in mild sympathy, “I would be too if I slept in my bed versus yours. You’re not interested in switching mattresses, are you?” He ended with a small joke. He couldn’t even imagine actually orchestrating a plan to swap mattresses with someone. Not unless it was a very quiet, stealth operation in the middle of the night. Now Enzo was curious what kinds of things other wereanimals contemplating doing -or have done- late at night. Did this help support Ikaris’ stance on having a hall monitor? Passing those thoughts off, he half expected Ruina to decide on staying in her room to sleep, and he was on the verge of encouraging her to get some sleep as well. It didn’t quite cross him that he was entirely capable of skipping as well, and that was mostly due to his concern being trained solely on Ruina.

If Enzo ever chose to flirt with Ruina, which he probably would, she would either blush like crazy or try to flirt back. Or probably both. But, she was not a flirt. The idea of flirting freaked her out and she would definitely be turning bright red if Enzo started flirting with her. Would she get better at flirting? Well, hopefully, that was the goal, however, that was just something she'd find out later along the line. Right...?
The fact that they were matching was cute, and yet, Ruina couldn't help but wonder what kind of comments the two of them would get throughout the day. Snide ones? Compliments? Would Amber herself dare show her face? What kind of blow would this be to the werefox? And what in the hell would Amber do about it? Would she go home crying to mommy and daddy, demanding something be done? Would she try and break the two up? Ruina couldn't help but wonder, the idea of any of Amber's antics just tired her, incredibly so.
Ruina couldn't help but wonder why the sword had been named the sword of Eternal Damnation. Had her great-whatever grandfather simply wished his sword to sound powerful and scary? Or was it because the sword had been through some shit? She truly wished she knew the history of the sword, alas, it had sat in the storage for generations, and her grandfather had found it during his reign and brought it back into use. It had gone to Ruina's father, and then finally to her. Ruina would no doubt pass it down to her child, if she had one.
"Historically and ancestrally of importance? I imagine this blade can tell so many wonderful stories. If swords could talk, that is." Ruina agrees,"She'd definitely have some stories. She was in action for who knows how many years, though she spent at least five generations in a storage room." She wrinkles her nose at that, no sword should ever go into storage, especially one that stayed in such a fine condition. "If I were to ever be impaled by a sword, I would want this one to have the honors of cutting through me. I don't know if that makes me psychotic, sociopathic, or a charming blend of both. But I adore this sword that much." Ruina laughs, shaking her head,"Hmm, I think it's safe to just say, a charming blend of both." She was glad that he liked her sword though, she was very proud of it.
Ruina did have to tip her head slightly back as Enzo stops in front of her. "I adore you more though, which speaks volumes about my feelings for you." Before Ruina could answer, Enzo had connected their lips. Ruina almost melted against Enzo even for that brief kiss, was kissing always so addictive? She felt like she was grinning like an idiot. Then her eyes follow his to the clock, they were going to be late. She was so tempted to say, oh well, skip class. Would Enzo agree with it? No doubt that Tarron and Thaola would come looking, mainly out of curiosity, but they would still come looking. The two were not above barging into rooms.
"You're tired, I would be too if I slept in my bed versus yours. You're not interested in switching mattresses, are you?" Ruina laughs,"I do quite enjoy my mattress, so sadly, no I am not interested in switching mattresses." His bed had been comfortable though, perhaps not as much as her own (Bias opinion as well), but it had been comfortable. Which got Ruina thinking, would they end up sleeping in the same bed? And not even doing anything bad, but just sleeping. Or would they spend nights in their separate rooms? She was half tempted to ask, but she didn't want to.
"I would skip class, but then Tarron and Thaola would complain about it into my ear constantly about it." She rolls her eyes slightly,"I can sleep later, I suppose, but we better get to class. We'll be late." They would probably end up a few minutes late anyways, and they didn't have time to stop by the cafeteria for breakfast unless they just wanted to make themselves later. Which at this point, Ruina didn't care. It had been an interesting morning and missing a class would not make Ruina sad. Not to mention last night had been tiring, she'd been up so late, and gotten so little sleep and so much had happened last night. Well, she supposed the night hadn't been tiring, the interaction with Enzo had been amazing.

Enzo could swarm his mind with the thoughts of how the sight of him and Ruina would be taken. Clearly some people snicker and whisper, but wouldn’t others be kinder? Possibly. When it comes to Amber, however, Enzo had an idea of how to determine what would be coming. List every possible bratty and horrible thing she could do in response, and then expect all of that to happen. If he expects the worst now, he can handle it as it comes. No doubt Amber would be running to mommy and daddy, that would happen for sure. Would Amber try to break them up though? Of course, in any way she could. Was she scared to go after Ruina directly? The werefox would certainly be hesitant. That wouldn’t stop her from taking aim at the werewolf however, but if Amber could orchestrate a way to get Enzo detached from Ruina, then Enzo would come running back to Amber. Wouldn’t he? Yes, and then everything will be perfect again. And he’ll never leave her. They’ll be together, forever. And ever, and ever, and ever. "She'd definitely have some stories. She was in action for who knows how many years, though she spent at least five generations in a storage room." The look Enzo gave at hearing the sword was in storage for so long was jagged enough to kill. Who in their right mind would bench this beauty for so long? An idiot, that’s who. Someone unappreciative of the miraculous blade, whose weight to its name spoke for itself about how beautifully lethal it is. "Hmm, I think it's safe to just say, a charming blend of both." Enzo’s smile reflected that he took that to heart as a compliment. At least he’s a well balanced crazy who's swooning over her sword, so he has that going for him. The more affectionate, gentler, and warmer side to Enzo would more than likely only be something Ruina is graced to see. Kisses were something he would only give behind closed doors or in complete solitude with her, and not because he wasn’t head over heels for Ruina, but simply because too much of public displays of affection can fluster him a bit. Hand holding and hugs are one thing, kissing and affectionately teasing are another though for the wereleopard. Enzo prefers to conceal his softer nature for the sake of reputation, and a few other reasons, so very few people will ever get the luxury of bearing witness to this side of him. Ruina, now, was one of those few though. "I do quite enjoy my mattress, so sadly, no I am not interested in switching mattresses.” Enzo chuckled, snapping his fingers. “Damn it, well at least I can say I tried.” The wereleopard smiled. He could live with his mattress though, it’s not like it was that bad. Of course he pondered what their sleeping arrangements could look like as well. Although, he was hesitant to suggest sleeping together often for the reason he didn’t want to look like the clingy one. Can one blame him though? He literally just got out of a relationship with the clingiest person in the world, and he was terrified that part of Amber could have rubbed off on him. Enzo loved Ruina enough to definitely desire a strong bond and attachment to her, but he was terrified to be perceived as an Amber. Nobody wanted an Amber, and he couldn’t bear to not be wanted by Ruina for having that quality. "I would skip class, but then Tarron and Thaola would complain about it into my ear constantly about it. I can sleep later, I suppose, but we better get to class. We'll be late." Enzo pressed his lips together with a nod. Yeah, she was right, they should get going. A part of him didn’t quite want to face people, rumors, and an angry ex, but he couldn’t pretend those things weren’t beyond the door. Best to face it all head on then, right? “Yes, I suppose you’re right. Tarron and Thaola, even Ikaris, I feel are hardly the people we have to worry about though.” Enzo said, but who he was referencing was fairly clear. Did he want to see Amber in class? What if he and Ruina stopped for even just a few minutes in the cafeteria and Amber was there? Amber was practically everywhere and nowhere all at the same time sometimes to the wereleopard, and it was exhausting to try to chart a course around her. Did it matter where he chose to be? Most likely not, not unless he chose to book it towards his room and barricade himself in there for the day. Maybe for the week. Turning with more of a dramatic sigh, Enzo started walking towards the door, but now he felt comfortable with opening her door for her so she could exit first. “I look forward to the wonders that await us today.” He smiled to Ruina through his sarcastic tone. “Do we brave class or are you hungry enough to stop at the cafeteria? I won’t find joy being in either place, so don’t factor me into your decision.” Enzo added, still smiling. Sure, he was hungry, but Ikaris is usually packing snacks on him in the morning to stop himself from falling asleep in class. If Enzo had to bum a few snacks off of Ikaris, then that was hardly a dilemma. After Ruina exited the room, Enzo closed the door. But as he began his walk, he was heavily dragging his feet, and definitely dragging out getting to any kind of destination. Was it childish? Maybe. Did he care? Not really.

Ruina had an idea of how Amber would react to the news of Enzo and Ruina, however the werewolf was not that worried. Even if the werefox dared to tattle to her parents, what could they do? Sure Truhan was losing citizens, but they were as powerful as ever. At least... Last that Ruina checked. Thankfully, none but Truhan knew of the demise, so that would play a factor. No doubt Iprhian's royals would think long and hard before they even thought about moving against Truhan, even if Amber wanted the battle. And if Amber tried to start shit at school, Ruina would put Amber back into her place yet again. She did it once already, and she would do it again. Would she hold back a second time? Well, it depended on the offense. Some more scars would teach the werefox more.
And what if Amber tried to tempt Enzo back? Ha! That idea was laughable, everyone but Amber seemed to realize that Enzo was completely and utterly over the werefox. Ruina knew that nothing would ever get Enzo back to Amber. For how much Enzo hated Amber, which Ruina knew because well, Enzo had told her, the wereleopard would never go back to Amber. And Ruina would make sure of that as well, not because she wanted to be petty or anything. But because Enzo deserved so much better than that bitchy werefox. Even if Ruina and Enzo didn't last forever, she would make sure that he never ended up with Amber or someone like her. Even if the love was lost between werewolf and wereleopard, Ruina would always know that Enzo deserved someone that would treat him with true and real love.
Ruina had to repress a laugh at Enzo's expression. That had been the same expression she'd given her grandfather when he first told her the story of the sword. The idea that such a sword had been in storage for so long was horrendous. Especially because of the strange magic surrounding the sword. Narcoleptic had remained sharp and beautiful despite her years in a shed. And Ruina had never had to sharpen in. She did have to clean it, obviously. Dirt, mud, blood, anything that got on it she had to clean. And yet, the blade never stained and never dulled. Sadly, her grandfather had not known the entire story of the sword. And so the story of how the sword was made was lost in history.
Now, even though Ruina now had a boyfriend, she would not become soft and so open hearted. Not much would change about her, she'd remain just as tough and calm as usual. The only notable changes would be that she would gravitate towards Enzo more. And it would be noticed that she was kinder and affectionate towards the wereleopard. Would she try and do a lot of public displays of affection? No. She was never one for lots of public displays of affection. Hell, she still had to get to any kind of affection in that area. The only kind of affections she was use to were the occasional hugs from her friends and family. It would take her a while to get use to the rest of it. Much less full on public displays of affection. "Damn it, well at least I can say I tried." Ruina laughs slightly, shaking her head. She could tell Enzo where she'd gotten her mattress and maybe he could go get one. Or, maybe, it would end up where if they did sleep in the same bed. They would most likely end up in her room. That idea got Ruina pondering if that would keep Ikaris from bugging them. Ruina was not afraid to attack Ikaris in her own room. Besides, it was her room, that was trespassing and invasion of privacy. Ruina had not given consent for the wereeagle to enter her room. But would that stop the wereeagle? Would he still barge in and wake them?
"Yes, I suppose you're right. Tarron and Thaola, even Ikaris, I feel are hardly the people we have to worry about though." Ruina smiles thinly, they were thinking of the same wereanimal no doubt. "I'm not afraid to put that bitch back in her place. Even if she dares, I'd happily give her some more scars to think about." Was that a little harsh? Perhaps. But Ruina couldn't deny she was a little protective. Enzo was hers, and Amber had lost him. It was as easy as that. Amber had not realized what she had, not realized how amazing Enzo was, and by treating him like shit, pushed him away. Ruina had no issue chasing Amber away this time, she had no claim on Enzo. And the werewolf would make that clear to Amber, should the werefox try anything.
Of course, Ruina would do her best to avoid Amber, best not intentionally start anything. However, without a doubt, the werewolf would end up running into the werefox. There was no avoiding that, and if Ruina went out of her way to avoid the werefox, she'd end up running straight into her. So, Ruina would just continue on with her day, and just hope that she did not have to deal with the werefox. Especially since Ruina had a lot of classes with the werefox, one of said classes was only with Ruina, Amber, and Thaola. That class the boys were in a different one, and that one would most likely be the one Amber would try to start something.
Ruina couldn't help but chuckle at Enzo's dramatic sigh, following him to the door. "I look forward to the wonders that await us today." Ruina smiles back, noting the sarcastic tone. She was too, though she didn't quite meaning as sarcastically as Enzo. "Hmm, I'm sure something good will come out of today." If not, well, at least they had each other and their friends. "Do we brave class or are you hungry enough to stop at the cafeteria? I won't find joy being in either place, so don't factor me into your decision." Ruina answers,"I can wait till lunch. But, if you want to, I'd happily go to the cafeteria." She knew he said not to factor him in, but if he wanted breakfast, then she would urge him to go get breakfast. And of course, she would accompany him, she really did not want to go to class. Ruina steps out of her door, pausing as Enzo closes the door. Did she notice that he was slightly dragging his feet? Yes. Would she say anything about it? No.

It’s true, even if bratty little Amber cried and cried to mommy and daddy about her break up and desiring Truhan to pay the price, the King and Queen of Iprihan wouldn’t just go off on a whim and start something with a much larger kingdom. Especially the King, he may love his daughter, but she isn’t worth putting their kingdom in jeopardy. He knew how bratty Amber is, perhaps his years of spoiling didn’t help, but he also knew how to see through her. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to Amber and her mother though, but luckily, even together they didn’t have as great a pull to start a straight up war with Truhan. Sure, seriously everyone but Amber is aware that Enzo is more than done with her, but she’s crazy enough to still very much believe they have a chance. It’s concerning to think that one day Amber; emotionally unfit, delusional, and pettier than Ikaris will be ruling a kingdom. Hell, it concerned Enzo more than he cared to admit. But even if Amber started something right now, he was confident Ruina wouldn’t just take it lying down. Perhaps Ruina putting Amber in her place again would teach her some humility? Probably not though. To say Enzo is jealous of Ruina’s sword is an understatement, but if anyone could have such a piece of weaponry -other than him of course- he’s glad it’s her. The Verlice family isn’t huge on surrounding themselves with weapons as religiously as Enzo would prefer to do. Sure, they had training and things of the sort for obvious reasons, but they left the collection of weapons to their knights, guards, and blacksmiths primarily. The best Enzo has ever had passed down to him is a wooden pin said to have been crafted by some of the first of the wereleopards to stake their claim over Ritha, and the key to the Verlice ancestral diary hall. Every member of the royal family is gifted with their first official diary piece -on their crown ceremony day- that will one day be placed in the hall upon the passing of the ruler. Diary upon diary fills the treasured hall, and the family uses these diaries as a way to connect with their past, learn from their ancestors mistakes and triumphs, and use that knowledge to better lead in the present. Some Verlice’s definitely shared a bit too much in their diary, but a lot of it was fairly interesting. Enzo isn’t exactly what one may quite call open hearted per say. Getting across his thoughts and feelings is difficult, as Ruina surely witnessed during his confession, so often it’s easier to just deflect with humor or say nothing at all. It would certainly please Enzo to know Ruina wasn’t very keen on large displays of public affection… considering Amber was. It was just annoying. Nobody wanted to see that in public, and Enzo certainly didn’t want to be stared at in public for it. Naturally Enzo would start to revolve more and more around Ruina, making clear when he had to that Ruina is taken, but he won’t drown her in constant affection either. Too much is suffocating, Enzo knows from experience, and perhaps the experience he did have would make his and Ruina’s relationship easier on the both of them. Enzo gave a silent laugh in return to her own when it came to the mattresses. If he was really given the option though, he would pick sleeping on Ruina’s bed with her over his own. It certainly would -mostly- deter Ikaris. Well, it wouldn’t be Ikaris if he didn’t push his boundaries at least once, but if Ruina did attack Ikaris for obnoxiously barging in, Enzo would certainly get a good laugh out of it. Plus, if Enzo were to stay with her at night, he’d have to give Ruina a small gift as a thank you. Would she accept the baby of one of his plants? It was a small gesture, but even if she didn’t want to care for it or anything Enzo would baby it for her. And if she didn’t want it at all, then Enzo would still care for the baby plant in his own room. "I'm not afraid to put that bitch back in her place. Even if she dares, I'd happily give her some more scars to think about.” Enzo couldn’t help but flash a smile at that before it followed with a chuckle. “That would be something to look forward to, but as a good and decent person, it would be wrong of me to hope for such a thing to come to pass.” Enzo responded, though even that held a sarcasm to it to express he in fact very much would love to be on the sidelines again to watch Ruina make another mark on Amber. If Ruina was the one person that could ward Amber off, then Enzo would let that play out. "Hmm, I'm sure something good will come out of today.” Enzo gave a light huff at that. “Why of course, the good thing to come is called bedtime.” They would have each other then too if he was lucky, but after last night, he didn’t want to spend tonight alone. But he also kept in mind that a relationship was still new to Ruina, so of course if she wanted some initial space and boundaries, he would be more than accommodating and respectful of her desires. "I can wait till lunch. But, if you want to, I'd happily go to the cafeteria." Enzo raised a brow in Ruina’s direction. “Did you seriously just have the audacity to factor me into the decision I told you not to factor me into?” A small smirk crept its way onto his face though to express he was teasing her for it, but now he contemplated his decision. “I seriously just need five minutes to inhale something. I would say I could go without eating, but the atrocious sounds my stomach would make would just call me out on my lie.” Enzo shrugged, ceasing the dragging of his feet. At least he was being honest. Enzo stayed closer to Ruina as they walked, maybe for silent moral support, and maybe just because he also liked being closer to her. At least there were fewer wereanimals wandering the campus right now, considering there were always some stragglers. And it’s not too long of a walk to the cafeteria either, although his own amber eyes continuously darted around his and Ruina’s surroundings for any sign of the werefox. She can't just appear out of thin air, calm down. Enzo half expected Amber to, but so far so good. Upon him opening the door for Ruina first and following behind her, just as he had feared, Amber was there. The werefox looked a bit more presentable than Enzo had expected, and it didn’t seem like she had any intention of leaving the cafeteria table she was seated at with her friends anytime soon. The puffiness to her eyes even from a distance gave away the hours of crying she had done… but there was something about Amber right now that was pissing Enzo off. She was wearing his gray hoodie. Fuck me. He should have double checked before he broke up with her that she didn’t have anything of his, but then again, she could have had it hidden somewhere like a psycho. As Amber’s gaze moved to the two, a mix between a glare and a deeply hurt expression rippled over her features, and Enzo averted his gaze. “I don’t want anything to start this early in the day, I lost my appetite anyway.” Enzo muttered to Ruina, already shifting his feet back towards the door. He could live without food if it meant not dealing with Amber, and as much as he truly wouldn’t mind Ruina putting Amber in her place in the event the werefox started something, Enzo didn’t want Ruina to have to fight his battles for him. Nor did he want Ruina’s day ruined so early, as he kept what happened after the spar in class in mind. Amber certainly locked a stare on Ruina though, a few of her friends casting glances towards Ruina and Enzo too. Would Amber start something though? The werefox was debating it. Rumors had just reached her about Enzo and Ruina, and it made her blood boil. But would she act now? She convinced herself she was already winning because Enzo was visibly uncomfortable, and she purposely wore the hoodie just to give him a reason to talk to her. But Enzo would just let her keep it honestly if it meant sparing himself a conversation with Amber.

Ruina was not a prideful person in anyway. However, she was very proud of her sword. And although her Kingdom was not based so much on swords, there were plenty of swords around. The sea coast Kingdom had weapons made from things found in the sea. So, once again, swords were not the biggest things. The Kingdom also loved to depend upon their animal side, fierce warriors of the land and the sea. They had no records of previous generations as the library had been flooded and the records had been ruined. That had been devastating to the kingdom, and sadly only the recent records could be remade. No one could truly remember every single record. So although many records were trying to be remade, many would be lost and forgotten. Ruina could safely say that the only moments in history from the past that would be remembered would be the greatest moments. Like how the kingdom was created, or big wars. Not the smaller things, which the werewolf considered just as important.
If the sleeping arrangements ended up that they were sleeping in her room, Ruina wanted to decorate more. It was one thing when it was only her, and she was barely in there. But if she had people over, because no doubt, Ikaris would come barging in eventually. And there was a possibility the room could become a hangout place. Then she did not want it to be so bland and empty. Would she put some plants in? Probably. Some pictures? Definitely. Some other random decor? Yes. Hell, she'd probably bring some more weapons from home. The ones she did not use as much. The ones who were generally just for display, and not for actual usage. Hell, now Ruina was thinking of painting her room a new color. Adding some splashes of color. Maybe....
"Why of course, the good thing to come is called bedtime." Ruina grunts in agreement, it wasn't even mid-morning and she was already craving night. Of course, the lack of sleep was a major factor into it. She also did not want to spend the night alone. Would Enzo have an issue with that? She hoped not. But who would ask who? "Did you seriously just have the audacity to factor me into the decision I told you not to factor me into?" Ruina shrugs,"I can't help it!" A small half shy smile flashes across of her face. She would probably start factoring Enzo into all of her decisions. "I seriously just need five minutes to inhale something. I would say I could go without eating, but the atrocious sounds my stomach would make would just call me out on my lie." Ruina chuckles, as they change directions towards the cafeteria.
The rest of the short walk was silent, but she didn't mind. She also liked how Enzo seemed to be straying towards her. Ruina was half tempted to reach out and grab his hand. However, she refrained from doing so. The urge to reach over and grab his hand grew as she noticed his eyes darting around. Ruina thanks Enzo as she steps inside the cafeteria, her eyes sweeping the cafeteria. Her eyes landing on Amber sitting among her friends. She looked okay, except for the puffy eyes. Ruina could tell that the hoodie the werefox was wearing was Enzo's, however, that didn't bother her. No doubt Enzo forgot it, or Amber stole it and hid it somewhere. Now Ruina really had to fight the urge to grab Enzo's hand, to rub it in Amber's face.
Ruina stood her ground, however her gaze moves towards Enzo the moment he started talking. "I don't want anything to start this early in the day, I lost my appetite anyway." Now Ruina was torn. She wanted to tell Enzo not to worry about it, and not let Amber get in his head. But she didn't want to force Enzo into anything. The werewolf was very aware of the werefox's stare on her, and to prevent anything from happening, Ruina simply nods. Opening the door and ushering Enzo out of it. The door closing behind her. She holds her hand out toward's Enzo,"Come on. Let's go to class." She flashes a smile at him, trying to cheer him up.
-Skip- The week had been finished, and for that, Ruina was relieved. She had told Thaola and Tarron of her worries and the three had decided to return home for the weekend. After some thinking, she'd asked Enzo and Ikaris to accompany them, hoping for at least a relaxing weekend if not a decently fun one. But it all depended on what waited at home. In fact, they were on their way now. They could have traveled as animals, however, Ruina had sent word home to her family and in return. Five horses of Truhan's royal stables had been sent back. Ruina's own steed, Calimero, a large dark Appaloosa stallion was among them. Along with Thaola and Tarron's personal steeds. Both geldings as well as Appaloosa's. Just about as large as Ruina's Calimero. Thaola's was named Jacky, and Tarron's was named Zylan. The other two, for Ikaris and Enzo, were Appaloosa mares who Ruina was unsure of the names.
They were approaching Truhan lands. Ruina was in simple clothes, with her royal Truhan cloak draped on her shoulders. While Narcoleptic rested in her scabbard on the werewolf's hip. Thaola and Tarron were similarly dressed, however their cloaks were simpler. All three Truhan's seemed to be growing taller and brighter with every step closer to home. They hadn't been home in a while, and they were excited to see it. In fact, it took all their willpower to not urge their mounts into a gallop all the way home. Although worry also clouded their thoughts, what remained of Truhan? Did it look different? Emptier? Abandoned? Weak? Fragile? Or did it look the same?
With permission from her father, and lots of thinking, Ruina had finally told Ikaris and Enzo the main reason for returning to Truhan. What had been happening to the citizens of Truhan and how almost the rest of the citizens had retreated to the castle. Would the castle be alive with people? Or would the people be hiding in fear of being taken? Ruina had so many questions and so much worry, however she let very little of it show. Already she was slipping back into the role of a princess that she was use to. The ability to hide any and every emotion, and to lie to her citizens and promise everything was going to be okay, even if she could not truly promise it would be.
"Careful now. We have entered Truhan territory. We have no idea what's out there." The warning that came from Ruina, hurt the princess. To say those words about her own home? To be wary of her homeland? But it was true, whatever is snatching Truhan citizens could very well still be out there. So far, Ruina could see nothing different. But they hadn't come upon any of Truhan's towns yet. Ruina could hear the ocean, and she was excited to be back. She was going to get the Ritha's on a ship at least once. Tarron and Thaola were scanning the area, having directed their horses to the outter area of the group. Their hands resting on their swords. Despite the happiness in returning home, the three Truhan's were on edge. Watching everything.
"We'll head straight for the castle. My family will be waiting, and with any luck, we'll have some time to go explore." Ruina threw those words at the Ritha's. Thaola and Tarron would most likely go, or they would stay behind and plan with the royal family. However, Ruina planned on getting away and showing the Ritha's her home. Mainly Enzo, but no doubt Ikaris would want to tag along and Ruina wouldn't deny it. Ruina urges Calimero into a canter, as Thaola and Tarron urge their own steeds faster. They were getting closer to the castle. Sand was being thrown up by the horses as they ran.

Enzo could really only say he’s one of the few individuals he’s known in Ritha, at least on the palace grounds, that fancies himself with blades. Various hand-crafted wooden based bows were the resident favorite weapon among Ritha. It’s an all around weapon for the kingdom; works for battle, leisure, archer’s games during festivals, and disciplined hunting. While Enzo can of course wield a bow with ease, swords are just a beloved device. Ritha was very careful with the storage and preservation of their records, ancestral and non, since it’s considered a lifeline. Only the royal family is permitted to view the diaries in the ancestral hall, and it was probably the place Enzo spent a vast majority of his childhood when he wasn’t sparring or playing with Ikaris. It always prided Enzo to know he was named in part after one the greatest King’s to ascend to Ritha’s throne; Enver Verlice, His Golden Grace. The name came from the fact that unlike the typical amber or hazel eyes all Verlice’s have possessed through the generations, Enver had piercing golden orbs. Some said he was the King’s bastard, others said he was blessed by the gods themselves. Enver’s diaries were certainly an amazing testament to the trials faced by a young King, only being crowned at 16 following a great tragedy. And Enzo has read Enver’s diaries to the point he could rehearse a few paragraphs at a time from memory. More than likely, by the end of the day, Enzo’s desire to not be alone for the night would compel him to mildly suggest sleeping together in Ruina’s room. If she did express the want to spruce up her room a bit to him though, he would definitely be on board to help her. He’s no interior designer, but the wereleopard enjoys being helpful with those worth his aid. And Ruina was more than worthy. Wherever Enzo begins spending more time though, of course Ikaris will follow. If you get Enzo, Ikaris is the pretty little side piece that comes with him, so Ruina should expect the wereeagle’s presence often. And if Ruina did end up painting her room, maybe she should do that herself. With Enzo, he would end up trying to start a paint war by flinging some at her. Enzo personally felt decently rested, but sleep is a wondrous virtue. And he knew from earlier that Ruina definitely wanted (and needed) sleep as well. "I can't help it!" Enzo playfully narrowed his eyes at that, uttering a simple “Mhm”, with a light shake of his head. It’s fairly hypocritical for him to tell her not to factor him into decisions when he would do the same with her, but Enzo doesn’t see it like that. The wereleopard primarily just wanted to put Ruina first in the relationship, since it’s certainly easier for him to put someone he genuinely loves first versus himself. Seeing Amber didn’t put Enzo into a bad mood, he just wasn’t in the mood for confrontation. And from the glint in Amber’s eyes, she was waiting for something along the lines of a confrontation to come. He would not play into Amber’s games anymore though, that was for sure. Only a few seconds longer did Enzo and Amber share a silent stare before he turned towards the door and exited, pausing outside of it to wait for Ruina. Down casting his gaze to the hand she had held out, Enzo smiled before reaching out to grasp it. “Come on. Let's go to class." Returning the smile she flashed to him, Enzo proceeded hand in hand with Ruina to class. ~Skip~ The week had certainly been something for the wereleopard. It was more than pleasant to have spent a lot of time with Ruina, and for the first time in a very long time he did not have to talk to Amber. They hadn’t exchanged a word, and Amber hasn’t said a thing to anyone in the group either. It almost made Enzo skeptical though. Was she letting go? Or gearing up for a round two? It was a thought he was able to set aside as he focused on his current surroundings. He had been a bit hesitant to agree to going to Truhan with Ruina, but ultimately he settled on the decision of going. It was a different place to Enzo, and quite frankly he wasn’t sure what to expect from the Kingdom or Ruina’s family. Ikaris jumped on board with going though, because new equals fun! Amid the ride the Ritha’s were fairly quiet, with Enzo primarily in and out of thought, and Ikaris muttering complaints to himself about being on a horse. Ikaris’ ego tends to clash with most actual animals though, and honestly Ikaris isn’t too accustomed to being on horseback anyway. Enzo wore a more formal and casual mix of clothes, not wanting to put on much of a flashy display for the sake of keeping a lower profile in Truhan. And mostly because he didn’t send word to his parents -like he was supposed to- that he was going to be in another Kingdom, so he didn’t want word reaching them. Enzo’s attire was similar to what he wore at the dance actually, just reversed colors; a white T-shirt with a black over jacket and black jeans. Though, he left the pocket chain behind. And Ikaris, well, he only dresses to impress himself. A white tank top paired with his open, black leather jacket and ripped denim jeans. And that was good enough for the wereeagle. Both boys were a bit unnerved by the news Ruina had shared with them about Truhan, however. And with Enzo being another royal, he felt mildly obligated to subtly ensure the safety of his own kingdom within the coming days. Enzo would not tell his parents, yet, but if similar things did begin to happen in Ritha then Enzo would hopefully be a step ahead against… whatever is out there, and already having a plan for safety measures. If it truly got to the point though that what was happening in Truhan began in Ritha, then he would more than likely have to start splitting more time between school and home. He would need to make his presence known to his people. But hopefully, it wouldn’t come to that. And the events in Truhan would cease. Hopefully. "Careful now. We have entered Truhan territory. We have no idea what's out there." Enzo and Ikaris exchange a look before their eyes moved to each of the Truhan’s. They all seemed a little on edge in their own way, and the fact Ruina was morphing her expression into one difficult to read told Enzo he needed to know. As a royal, he knew the look that concealed worries. And that was the one Ruina was wearing. “It’s probably my mom,” Ikaris chimed with amusement, “I’m pretty sure she’s a witch that’s a couple hundred years old, and she’s probably just plucking people off so she can feed off of their souls in order to retain her youthful appearance. If I see her I’ll have a talk with her though, to try and put an end to her madness for all of our sakes.” Ikaris smiled, while Enzo simply shook his head. It’s been several years since Ikaris has seen his mom, but maybe she’s been busy with plotting the picking of Truhan’s. Evil bitch. Probably working with the chickens too. The boys carefully observed the unfamiliar surroundings as well, but the sound of the ocean sent a bone chilling shiver down Enzo’s spine. And with the added atmosphere of unease from the Truhan’s when it comes to what may be lurking the lands of their kingdom, it definitely didn’t ease his worries of the water. "We'll head straight for the castle. My family will be waiting, and with any luck, we'll have some time to go explore." Enzo gave a hum and a nod, as he imagined what the waiting royal family of Truhan would be like. It filled him with some anxiety actually. Pulling his horse up closer to Ruina’s, Enzo gave a worried glance. “Does your family… know about us? Or is it best not to say anything right now?” He asked, but he figured that was something important for him to be in the loop on. If they did know, would there be silent judgments and gauges of his character? He was already a crown prince of another kingdom, and surely that would come with the royals of Truhan observing him to some degree.
