Truth shook her head, yawning slightly. A yowl came from outside, and she trotted out, peering around the wall curiously. She spotted the three cats, all facing one another off, and her eyes widened. A low growl built in her throat, but she remained hidden. Perhaps she could use the element of surprise on the offenders... |

Mara jumped backwards, having been met with a set of claws that were oddly familiar. She didnt even care, and battled with a paw back towards Briar, before being pushed over by her father. .... "Frost!" The feline hissed, catching her breath while trying to push the larger cat off of her. |

Truth's hackles raised, and she watched with flashing eyes. Surely, she couldn't really be seeing what she thought she was seeing. She was hoping that that wasn't Frost who was attacking his own daughter...
Truth hung back, waiting for the right opportunity. In the meantime, however, it would be nice to have some backup... Truth turned her head ever so slightly to the blue parakeet perched on her shoulder, partially hidden by her thick fur. The bird's beady eyes were fixated on the fight that was unfolding, but they flicked towards Truth when they saw her moving.
"I have yet another favor to ask of you, old friend," Truth murmured, ever so softly. "Go back to camp and send Blossom back this way. Stay there, and protect Lamentis. I'm afraid she might try and come this way." Iris bowed her head, before lifting off and soaring back to the camp. Truth watched her familiar disappear into the treetops, before turning her gaze back to the fight. Now it was time to wait. |

(Briar magically disappears- uh, runs off and Mockingbird is there now. Lmao I can't decide) Mara apparently had given Briar all the warning he needed, and the cat scampered away into the bushes. Even during her duel with Frost- teeth come in handy, dont they? So a pair of canine teeth bit down onto her father's leg, who hissed and yanked his legs away, jumping backwards. Mara took the quick chance to regain her stance. Her chest heaved with such effort- her body stung with the cuts caused. Just as the female was about to leap at Frost as he recovered, a quick dash of black caught her off guard. Another? Well, it was inconvenient, and the tomcat seemed to be the equal of her: skinny, fast, nimble. That meant that all of her defense mechanisms would be somewhat useless. Ah! It was Mockingbird, that little black cat Frost always kept around. Maybe that did pay off, but Mara had other ideas. She was able to quickly scramble backwards, to which she lunged, and bit down on the black cats shoulder. |
