Name:

Bodhi Kazan Ariti

𝓂𝑒𝒶𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔: 𝐵𝓁𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝒶𝓌𝒶𝓀𝑒𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔

(very ironic, I know)

Age:

21

Gender:

Male

Pronouns: he/him

Sexuality*:

Straight

Appearance:

Despite his human nature, Bodhi walks with an aura of a demon, or some other dark and unsettling form. When walking the streets, he is often avoided by young ones, and even some of the older children hang back at his seemingly ghastly presence. His skin is pale, almost deathly so, and despite nearly every moment of the day he walks the streets, but the sun seems to barely touch his ghostly flesh. His porcelain skin is something he prizes, obsesses over, even. He takes great care to keep his hands unmarred as possible. His back is nearly covered in scars, but he never speaks of where he gained these. He seems to thrive in the moonlight, when he stalks the streets, seeming even more devilish than he does in the sun.

His eyes are the colour of bitter coffee, dark, and unyielding, framed by strangely feminine eyelashes. He has high cheekbones, and a jawline sharp enough to cut diamonds. His dark hair is cut raggedly, longer on the top, and cut close around his skull on the sides. He has a lean, muscular build, and stands around 5'10. His shorter stature leaves people uneasy, wondering if his height is going to leave him at a disadvantage to them, or whether he will use it against them. He often speaks in a low, raspy voice, which doesn't quite seem to match his face, nor his age. His lips are round and full, a dusky rose colour. Despite the fact that they are often turned down in a frown, when he does smile, it lights up his whole face, causing one small dimple in his left cheek to appear. He is rather self-conscious of this feature, and this is a tiny part of the reason he normally chooses to keep his emotions hidden.

Bodhi dresses quite classily, in dark fabrics, often accentuated with gold or silver designs stitched in, such as paisleys (his personal favorite), roses, and feathers. These threads are usually hidden amongst the dark ones, causing the light to seemingly sparkle off the black and dark grey threads, which adds an air of mystery that he likes quite a bit. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck, a crow in flight, and a tiny sun on his right thumb. He has no piercings or any other man made marks upon his body, besides his scars. He normally stays as covered up as he can, in suits to rival Armani. Bodhi is rather broody, and often his face shows no emotion, besides a bit of a frown.

He walks with a slight limp, due to a childhood injury, and is highly irritated at this. He tries to act as though it doesn’t pain him at all, but once one knows him well, it is easy to catch the slight grimaces, and flashes of pain in his eyes.

Personality:

Bodhi isn't really that well known by anyone. He's mostly closed off, and those who don't know him well are eager to spread rumors.

Often described as cold and ruthless, Bodhi is willing to do almost any job for the right amount of money. He is rather manipulative and conniving, and is keen to let others know that he is in control of any situation. He is quick witted, and always has a trick up his sleeve, unless he's with someone he trusts with his life. He isn't a huge fan of trust, and will exploit almost anyone for his gain. Despite this, he is fiercely loyal to those he does love and trust, and once his trust is gained, it is not easily broken.

Bodhi is normally aloof and indifferent, hiding his true emotions behind a cool façade. However, he holds grudges close to his heart, and vengeance is practically his hobby. There isn't much you can do to rattle him, besides strong emotions. If someone is crying, or honestly feeling anything too strongly in front of him, he gets skittish and unwieldy. This stems mostly from his traumatic childhood, and he struggles with the fact that he doesn't really feel anymore.

One of Bodhi's biggest fears is mirrors. As a child, he learned to dislike his own appearance, and although he takes great pride in it now, he prefers to do as much of it as possible. This fears also comes from his uneasiness with how mirrors distort images, making him on edge with how appearances are not always what they seem.

Bodhi sometimes comes off as paranoid and lost in his own mind, he is good at riddles, problem solving, and is quite the perfectionist. When he finds his crowd, he is slightly more easy going, but for the most part, he prefers to be left with those select few, rather than in a group setting.

Name:
Keya Imogen Dacre
"Beautiful Innocence"
Age:
20
Gender:
Female
Pronouns:
She/Her
Sexuality:
Straight
Appearance:
Keya's kind, gentle aura brings forth the attention of those all around. She's the embodiment of feminine grace, with a sweet, loving look upon her beautiful face at all times. Children are the ones who especially flock to her, and she positively revels in the company of little ones. Her skin, which is smooth and free of any scars or markings, is softly tanned, a tale-tell sign that the princess spends time outside. In the night, she still remains one of the most radiant individuals around.

Her eyes, those gorgeous eyes, are a blue as clear as could be, surrounded by long, dark lashes that give her a doe-eyed look. Despite her friendly nature, those eyes seem to stare straight into the soul of those who stand before her. With high cheek bones and a heart shaped face, her delicate nose fits in perfectly with its button shape. Her long ash blonde hair cascades down her back in soft curls, only stopping as it reaches her curvy hips. Her hair is her pride and joy, possibly being her most favored feature. Her build is very feminine, leaving her with a slim yet curvy hour glass figure, which suits her well combined with her short stature. This little woman stands at a meek height of 5'1", which helps to add to the ease that people feel around her. After all, no one expects such a small, innocent thing to be deadly, right? Her voice is soft and smooth like silk, exiting her plump, pink lips as sweet as honey. Her joyous smile can positively light up a room, and it is said that no one has ever seen her in a frown.

Keya often dresses in lighter colors that pop off her tanned skin. The silky materials only add to the femininity that she possesses. Her dresses fit her body ever so perfectly, hanging off of her hips and cascading to the floor as gracefully as water. She bares no tattoos, her only piercing being her ears, which usually adorn dangling sparkly earrings. Her only other defining feature is a small beauty mark that lies on the outer corner below her left eye.

Personality:
Keya is known by many, her typical demeanor making her easy to approach and get to know.

As sweet as could be, no one has ever had a bad word to speak about this woman. Unless it's concerning how naive or hard headed she can be at times. Imogen suits her well, as she's often too innocent for her own good. It is unwise to be sheltered from how the word really is, as it can stick you in some very bad situations. Keya is a little too trusting, and undyingly loyal to those who treat her right. However, if you are to break her trust, have fun gaining it back because it will not be easy by any means.

Keya is a very emotional person, gaining strong ties easily. Though it is hard, she tries to never appear down or upset, but just because she doesn't show it doesn't mean she never feels it. Her feels can actually be quite easy to hurt, prompting the typically bubbly girl to quiet down and keep to herself. Her fear is no where near as easy to conceal, ultimately always showing on her face when she's scared or startled. The only emotion that hides behind another is anger. She hates it when she's angry and does everything in her power to not show when her toes have been stepped on a little too hard.

Her biggest fear is falling in love, believe it or not. When she loves, she loves passionately and deeply, leaving plenty of room for her heart to shatter into a million pieces. Caring is dangerous, but she knows she can't help it and it's terrifying.

Keya, despite being the life of the party and typically outgoing, actually prefers smaller crowds. She loves the feel of a personal, intimate setting where she can talk and get to know people without interruptions. Shes very witty, but not super smart on common sense terms. She's also a quick thinker, but quick thinking isn't always best either.

Likes:

~Plot~
-Prince x Princess-
What happens when two people who couldn't be more different are forced to get married? Nothing good, but when it's for the safety of their kingdoms, it must be done. Will the two young royals be able to get through without killing each other? For the sake of everything good, one would hope so.

It was late, very late, but that was fine with Bodhi. He had decided that it was perfectly fine for him to be awake, and moving, given that his wedding was tomorrow. However, it wasn't the usual nerves of a future groom and husband that kept the young Crown Prince awake. He hated that fact that he would be wed the next day, and there was nothing he could do about it, except smile through the ceremony, and pray his future bride would leave him alone. He rubbed his temples as he limped through the grand corridors of Vanya Hall, the main manor of the Royal Family. Nothing was going right anymore. His life had started perfectly, the eldest son of a highly respected line, and heir to the throne. He'd been raised like the noble and magnanimous little princeling that he was, and it showed in his arrogant, pale face. His younger twin sisters, Summer and Neri were his companions throughout his early years, and even still he enjoyed their company, to a point at least.

That was when *everything* had gone wrong. His sisters were taken away from him to be trained as proper women of the court, and his parents had informed him of his approaching nuptials. Bodhi had been horrifed. What had possessed his parents to take away his status as their golden child, and replace it with more responsibilities, and wife? He didn't want to be married in the first place, let alone to a random girl he'd never met before. His mind flashed for a moment to the Lady Estella Inez, a high ranking lady-in-waiting to his sister, but he quickly pushed her out of his head. She was going to become a holy virgin, no matter what he said. Even so, she floated in the back of his mind, and he angrily stalked down the dimly light back corridors of the mansion. He leaned heavily against a wall, his limp causing him great pain due to the fact that he'd been pacing all evening. Bodhi shook his head, and continued walking.

He headed out into the gardens, striding angrily down the sweet smelling paths, ignoring gardeners who fled quickly to remove themselves from the path of his anger. His rampage ended at the small temple in the back of the gardens, and he removed his outer cloak, stepping inside the even dimmer building. He lit a stick of incense, and knelt on a mat, beginning his usual evening prayers, trying to clear his mind, and decide what there was that he could do to save himself from the upcoming and unstoppable wedding.

In the late of night the young princess typically thrived alone in the darkness of her chambers, her nose in a book. That night, however, she was being treated as though she'd never had a bath in her life. Her lady's in waiting fawned over her, scrubbing every inch of her tanned skin and washing her long hair in something that smelled of sweet summer honeysuckles. "Perfect. You must be perfect." Her mother's words echoed in her mind, making her groan internally. With it being her wedding night, she didn't expect to get much peace from anyone. They'd be pestering her to make sure that she looked, smelled, and felt positively perfect.

In less than twenty four hours, Keya would be marrying a perfect stranger. As the oldest of two, it had been her duty as her parents called it to marry another royal- a Crown Prince. The thought left a bitter taste in her mouth, but she kept her opinions to herself infront of the girls. "Keya, you must be so excited!" Natalia, her longtime friend and lady in waiting gushed. They always had talked about the days they would marry, but what even Natalia didn't know what that Keya was pissed. Being forced to marry was not what the young princess had in mind, not to mention, she at least expected to know her husband-to-be before hand.

"As excited as I can be," she said softly, an emotionless smile on her face as she stepped out of the warm tub of water before drying off. Truth be told, she'd fought her parents tooth and nail to end the arrangement, but no matter what she did or said, they weren't backing down. "Please ladies, leave me to rest," she asked politely, thanking them for their help in preparing her for the upcoming ceremony. Once alone, Keya collapsed into her window seat, sighing as she rubbed her forehead in a stressed manner. What if he didn't like her? Or she didn't like him? Keya was afraid she'd just been doomed to a loveless marriage for the rest of her life, all the while she held true feeling for another... Ser Criston Westry, her Knights guard. They had build the sweetest of relationships, knowing that it would one day tumble, but Keya hadn't expected it to be so soon...

With a huff, she pushed the thought of her loved one to the back of her mind. There wasn't anything she could do about it now, so what was the point in trying to fix things? "This damned marriage," she whispered, her head in her hands as her emotions began overwhelming her now that she was alone.

The night watches passed in a flash it seemed, and Bodhi watched as the sun slowly crept over the horizon, spilling light into the small alcove where the manor sat. He slowly stood, and gazed at the incense stick, studying it as it slowly burned away into nothing but sweet smelling smoke. He bowed his head and said a final prayer, then stepped out of the temple, walking back to the palace. As he stepped back inside, he was immediately greeted by the smells of food, some familiar and some less so, and the familiar bustle of the kitchen. The cook shooed him out promptly, needing more space to prepare the wedding feast. The halls of the palace were even busier, with servants rushing about, putting flowers out, and arranging everything to be perfect. He couldn't hide his distaste for the events happening around him, and hurried back to his rooms.
To his dismay, he was immediately pounced on by his usual servants, and rushed to a bath. He was scrubbed clean, and dried with towels as soft as a kitten, before being handed a gilded suit, and being told to be prepared for the wedding at noon. He frowned, they'd changed the time, and nobody was telling him why. With a glower, he snatched the suit, and stalked behind a changing screen, pulling on the soft fabric. As he was thunking around behind the embroidered silkscreen, he heard the door to his room open, and immediately recognized the footsteps.
"Neri," he said, his voice low and subdued. "Did you see her?"
He heard his sister's sigh, and he grimaced, listening to her description of the princess. He wasn't positive how Neri had seen her, but he was grateful for her nosy ways. Just as he stepped out, he watched Lady Estella walk in to stand behind his sister. He dropped his eyes to the roughly hewn stone floor, studying the cracks and grooves. He quickly pushed all thoughts out of his head, and stepped out of the room, his sister on his heels. They headed down to the main hall, where the ceremony would occur, and he sat down in a seat that was probably reserved for some foreign dignitary or some other very important old man.
(Short, sorry t-t I'm violently ill right now)

Keya wished she could say that she slept, but nay, she stared out that window all night. Her thoughts had wandered through everything she would lose and what little she expected to gain. It was irritating, sparking anger in the girls heart, but it was best she get her anger out then rather than have a melt down later. After all, her wedding should be the happiest day of her life. Once her anger subsided, she did her prayers, knowing that the calming aura would take effect.

It was early when there was a knocking upon her chamber door, her ladies walking through to help her get ready for the ceremony that would take place within the next few hours. They started with her hair, tying a bit of it up before weaving little white baby's breath blossoms into it. They attempted to put makeup on her, but she combated them as if her life depended on it. One thing she detested was wearing makeup, as she found herself to be perfectly fine without it.

Once they'd given that up, the ladies began helping her into her gown. It was a beautiful dress made of the finest of silks, pure white in color with gold embellishments. With the help of a corset, the dress fit her like an absolute glove, accentuating her bust and hips. She had to admit, she did feel quite pretty. Nadia ushered the other girls out, following behind them so that Keya could have a moment of peace. Once ready, she rose to a stand, opening her chamber door. Directly across stood Ser Criston, whose emerald green eyes bore into her sadly. "Don't look at me like that, Criston. We both knew this day was coming," she said softly, eliciting a quiet sigh from the man. He stood a shocking 6'4" and was a wall of muscle with the personality of a teddy bear. Only being a couple years her senior, it hadn't taken much for Keya to be swept off her feet. "I know Ke- Princess Keya, but it doesn't make it any easier," he grumbled, lumbering behind the woman as she swept through the halls. It was almost time now, time for her to meet the man she was damned- or destined- to spend the entirety of her days with.

(it's alright, I promise. I hope you start feeling better <3)

The young prince stalked through the halls, his dark cloak swishing behind him menacingly. Servants fled in front of him, trying to avoid his wrath, which he found completely ridiculous. When had he ever given the impression of being harsh? Neri was practically sprinting to keep up with him, her eyes wide and nervous. Bodhi ducked around another corner, swaggering into the Great Hall. This room, which had used to be one he had always found solace in the familiarity of, had been ruined thanks to the upcoming nuptials. The high, sloping ceilings and firm wooden cross beams had been draped in silks and gauzy fabric, and the rough hewn carved tables were out of sight. In their places were neatly painted white benches, and smooth tables. The room was overflowing with flowers, and he wrinkled his nose at the overwhelming scent, coughing slightly.
"Mother," he called, spotting the small, dark woman fixing the flowers on the altar. Crushing a few roses under his feet, he made his way over to her. "I'm not going to bother fighting this, as I don't believe I have a say anyways, but I do have one question." His mother looked up, clearly already fed up with his snarky attitude, and waited for his question.
"Can I have at least her name?" The queen heaved a sigh, and nodded.
"Her name is Keya. And so help me, if you make her upset, your life will become a living hell."
Bodhi only laughed. "It already is, Mother Dearest," he said, his voice cheerful, but his eyes dangerous and dark.
The Queen Mother simply shook her head, starting to direct people where to go as they flowed in, and Bodhi made his way over to the altar, starting to pick the flowers apart, tossing rose petals on the floor, and mashing them beside the structure. His sisters came to stand beside him, silently showing their support, but were shooed away only a few minutes later as more guests arrived.

Keya's gown swirled violently around her as her legs worked on double time. She was ready to get the ceremony over with so that she didn't have to act as though she was pleased with the situation. Ser Criston's face was set in a still scowl while he remained silent, knowing better than to push his Princess. He'd simply have to get over it, perhaps even find a new stationing for himself if he found her marriage too troubling. Keya's steps slowed as her father approached her within the halls. "My darling daughter, you look beautiful," he spoke as he took his daughter's hands. She carried a more neutral expression, a faint smile crossing her luscious pink lips. "Thank you father. I'm still not pleased, but thank you," she sighed, her father's demeanor faltering at her words. He sighed, offering Keya his arm as he decided not to argue.

The pair began walking down the hall again towards the entrance of the Great Hall, her father beginning to speak again. "His name is Bodhi. He's a good man, Keya. Intimidating perhaps, but it's what's best," he told her, his voice soft as he attempted again to explain everything to her. Keya merely cut her eyes at her father, the air around them falling silent. The moment that they reached the closed doors of the Great Hall, her ladies rushed around her, making sure that her gown was perfectly fluffed and not a hair out of place. They all gave her a look of "you've got this," but truth be told, Keya was growing increasingly nervous. He probably wouldn't like her and she doubted she'd like him, but the only way their marriage would end now was if one of them died or disappeared. The girls were whisked away, her father joining back at her side. "Head high and shoulders back, my dear, for it is time," he said, eliciting a soft sigh from Keya.

Keya rolled her shoulders back and plastered her famously sweet smile onto her face. From inside the Hall, the precession music could be heard starting to play. The doors of the Great Hall opened slowly, guests standing and prying for a look at the young princess. However, Keya's striking blue eyes were focused straight ahead, her only concern being the man waiting at the end of the isle at the alter. The smell of flowers was intoxicating, almost overwhelming, but still she pushed forward, sweeping past her onlookers like the embodiment of grace. As the reached the end of the isle, her father left her to go face the man on the alter.

Keya looked at the man, her smile not once faltering despite its best attempt to fall. It would seem her father hadn't been thorough enough in his description of the man. He was far more than just intimidating. She did her best to not portray her nerves though she was afraid one might hear her heart attempting to beat out of her chest. Lost in thought, Keya jumped ever so slightly as the priest began to speak, his voice booming over the audience. It was the time they'd all be waiting for- or dreading...
