JB is the definition of an intimidating figure. He stands at just about 6’6”, which on its own is unreasonably tall, but holds himself like he’s always ready to throw down. His physique is also just a bit… off though. He has quite the inverted triangle torso, with broad shoulders, big arms, yet a really small waist. If you look close enough, and he happens to be in more form-fitting clothes or shirtless, it's almost like you can see his ribs.
He skin is covered in probably more scars than he recalls the stories of. Some of the most notable are the notch taken out of his left ear, the small scar running through his left brow, and the massive one across his lower abdomen. Where he doesn’t have scars he has tattoos. The iconic ones are the rib tattoos and the full sleeve on his right arm.
His eyes are bright blue- a stark contrast to his dark skin and hair. He tends to wear dark-tinted glasses to combat how sensitive they are.
The rest of him is remarkably unremarkable though. He has messy dark brown hair that’s almos a bad slicked back mullet on a good day, but usually just sticks up in various directions. He sticks to basic work suitable clothes. A whole closet’s worth of flannels, dark T-shirts, hiking boots, and well-worn mud-stained jeans. Quite often he's sporting a cowboy hat if it's particularly bright. He's almost always wearing thick work gloves.

♱ Personality ♱
JB a recluse, living alone with his daughter and only having a few close companions, but he's sweet about it. Usually. Until you get him talking about conspiracy theories and that he won't talk to cops. Or the current politics surrounding nonhumans. There's just some topics you should avoid with him.
Honestly, unless he's going on a tangent or sharing some mind blowing monster hunting expertise, it doesn't seem like there is much going on in that noggin of his. His inability to read to the room or recognize fairly common social cues doesn't help him either. He’s not overly extroverted, but once around people he’s comfortable with he can get quite rowdy. Well, he tends to be on the rowdier side in general.
Emphasis on just not getting him started.
He can be considered a little possessive of what he deems his. Items, property, people. If it’s his, it’s his. Maybe that's why he gets so huffy about having private property so far from town and the property taxes. Or maybe he just had a hard time grasping the whole “Sharing is caring” deal in school. Honestly, this can be weirdly positive. If you’re one of his people, you can guarantee he’s looking out for you.
