Natalia's smile seemed to brighten as she noticed the man from earlier patiently waiting for her. Her cheeks only seemed to flush more as his compliment escaped his lips. She brushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear before she spoke, that accent still strong, "Oh hush" She said with a chuckle, "Compliments wont make me fall." She added.
As Milo extended an arm for her, she smiled and slipped her arm around his, standing by his side as he began to lead the way. She nodded as he explained that the restaurant was not too far away, and she was glad, her legs were tired after that long shift. "Im so glad I have a strong man to protect me as we wander the streets" She teased, unaware that this was his territory and she was truly in the best hands. Women didn't walk the streets at night, especially alone with all the gang activity that went on.
"Its a beautiful night to walk anyway, enjoy the cool breeze and the stars." She said as she walked in step with him, glancing up to him for a moment before turning her eyes back to the city before them. She was liking this already, a gentleman by her side, about to hopefully have a delicious meal.
As they arrived to the restaurant, her expression changed to that of slight confusion for a moment before Milo explained the situation. "Wow, I am truly getting the treatment tonight aren't I?" She questioned with a chuckle. She smiled up to him before looking to the door opening, smiling to the man who greeted them. At first it was as if he was being faced with a ghost, then it shifted to seeing an angel as his eyes connected with Natalia's. Natalia brushed it off, it was late, maybe he was just tired.
Natalia thanked the man as he held the door open for them, following him to a table in the middle of the dim room. The red tablecloth was perfectly set, crystal wine glasses paired with porcelain dishware. A candle lit in the middle flickering by its lonesome to light the table. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach at the sight, she had never experienced something like this from anyone besides maybe a family dinner. It was quite thoughtful. She thanked Milo softly as he pushed in her chair, Natalia placing the cloth napkin on her lap.
She nodded as Milo excused himself to speak to the owner, honestly she thought nothing of it. She looked around at the beautiful interior, her mind lost on everything other than the two men talking to the side. She was starting to think this was a great choice of her night, glad she accepted the offer rather than going home and cooking for herself.
Her attention was brought back as Milo sat himself down across from her, smiling to her softly before Paul carefully handed them the menus. She nodded to Paul before looking to Milo, sitting back a bit as she gave a small chuckle. "You sure do know how to treat a lady don't you?" She teased, her soft eyes looking to him, "You did not have to get a private restaurant tonight" She added, still quite shocked they were getting privately catered to that night.
Milo seemed as if this was nothing, she had no clue how easy it was to secure this dinner for the two of them, especially since Paul owed. She chuckled as he shrugged his shoulders, looking up from her menu, "So far you are getting close to a homemade meal" She teased before Paul arrived back to the table, a fresh bottle of wine ready for the two. As he poured them each a glass, Natalia looked over the menu once more, already knowing what she would choose. Of course the one place Milo chose had a favorite of hers.
"What can I get for you Ma'am" Paul asked, awaiting their orders to get started on. She looked to the man beside her, smiling as she ordered, "Ill take the Mezzaluna with a house salad" She said, handing him the menu before looking to Milo as he ordered. Afterwards, she slipped her slender fingers around the stem of the crystal wine glass, bringing it to her red lips. The wine was fantastic, an expensive one as well, of course only the best for her tonight. This was all so amazing, but one question lingered in her mind.
"So Milo, why did you choose me tonight? Out of everyone else" She asked, setting the glass down as she looked to him with a sly smile.
