"Yeah I partially needed to use the restroom but I also need to confide in someone. Can I confide in you?" Ruina glances at her wolves, who were still staring warily and untrusting at the elf. She gestures at them, lay down. The wolves huff, but obey, laying down though their hackles did not relax. Ruina glances back at the elf, if he had triggered her magic, and allowed whatever barrier that had prevented her from using magic to fall. Then, perhaps she did at least owe him that much. To confide in her. "Sure." She answers, spinning her blade one more time, before sheathing it. Was she worried the elf would attack her or anything? No, but she was prepared if he did decide to.

Chrysanthos: Ruina spins her blade around and sheathes it quickly, waiting for Chrys' reply. To his surprise she seemed alert, and more confident, maybe he had awakened something inside her to do with Magick? With a gesture to her wolves, she motioned for them to lay down and stay at bay. What powerful creatures Chrys could only think with awe, no matter how many times he sees them they strike emotion in ones' thoughts. They way they effortlessly listen to her as well. My ferret could never.. sheesh "Can we close the door?" He asks while moving to shut the conversation in the room. With the door closed behind him, he began to relate what he overheard to Ruina. "I think i overheard Milano speaking to someone.." He paused, unsure of how he would phrase this. "Speaking to a male associate, they uh, found a dead human body on the campus edge on the sands. They both didn't identify the body as a student as we should have all been in the meeting room. It could have been a spy for all I know. They both seemed unsure whether or no to notify the king." He began to ramble on with his thoughts after getting the baseline down. "So shouldn't they tell the king? I mean it IS a dead body out there and they said the goblins had to clean it or something. They arent even treating it like a crime scene so maybe its a cover up." He rubbed the back of his neck to destress. Chrys was glad he was able to speak to Ruina, although this may not be the most ideal first introduction. He stuck out his hand, horns blushing at the base. "Im Chrysanthos by the way. You can call me Chrys." He widened his shoulders when he introduced himself so to counter his smaller frame.

Ruina waits quietly for the elf to start. "Can we close the door?" Before Ruian could even agree or disagree, the elf had moved and shut the door. Ruina's eyes flash briefly, but she says nothing, simply allowing her eyes to flicker to her wolves then back to the elf. "I think I overheard Milano speaking to someone..." Okay? Ruina had heard Milano speaking to many people, what made this any different. "Speaking to a male associate, they uh, found a dead human body on the campus edge on the sands. They both didn't identify the body as a student as we should have all been in the meeting room. It could have been a spy for all I know. They both seemed unsure whether or not to notify the king."
At once, Ruina's princess side kicked in. Someone dead? It could be one of her subject's, or perhaps, indeed a spy. She needed to see the body, to identify it. What surprised her was the fact that Milano had not found her yet. And indeed, that they had not informed her father. Why not? "So shouldn't they tell the king? I mean it IS a dead body out there and they said the goblins had to clean it or something. They aren't even treating it like a crime scene so maybe its a cover up." Ruina chuckles,"No, Milano is scared. He is many things, but he is no traitor." Ruina knew Milano well, he was a coward at heart, and incredibly loyal to the throne and her father. If there was a conspiracy going on, Milano had nothing to do with it.
"I'm Chrysanthos by the way. You can call me Chrys." Ruina goes to introduce herself,"I'm-" "Princess Ruina!" Ruina sighs as the doors hit the wall from being flung open. "And, it would seem that Milano has informed the king." Ruina turns towards the door, where two of the royal guards stood. And in between the two royal guards was,"Riden." Her mentor and fatherly figure. Riden greets,"Princess." Ruina waves the title off,"If my father thinks he's dragging me back to the castle, he is sorely mistaken." Riden smiles, slightly amused,"He knows better. He simply sends protection and back up." Ruina raises an eyebrow,"Back up?" Riden's eyes flash to Chrysanthos,"Ruina."
Ruina sighs,"This is Chrysanthos, an elf of Ritha." Riden grunts,"Part of the tournament?" Ruina nods,"Yes." Riden blinks,"Well, this is royal business-" Ruina cuts Riden off,"He awakened my magic." Riden's eyes went wide,"Excuse me?" Ruina holds her hand out, allowing a fire to collect in her palm. Riden grins,"How brilliant." Then the grin falls,"However, I would like to inform you, that your father wishes you to solve this murder." Ruina's lip curls in disgust,"Of course he does."

Chrysanthos: Being that the doors were abruptly flung open to where Chrysanthos could not be as vulnerable with Ruina; one of her guards began to command her to a place of protection. Finally realizing the authority she had as a person of royalty, he decided to step back and let the scenario play out. She had mentioned he 'awakened her powers'. Surprising himself even as he seemed not as an important being to himself until he interacted with Ruina. She was so powerful it seemed like being next to her ignited a fire in the both of them. The murder seemed to spike unbearable feelings to those in the royal protection program to where they had to extract the princess from her position in school. As the guards began to move forwards towards Ruina, her wolves succumbed to the submissive walking stance. Chrys started to prepare for the worst. Why were the guards extracting her so fast? The information given to him as an Elf was so little to extract any profit from. Chrys decides to jump in. "we can do this together." He blurts before awaiting the reply. "Your father wishes you to solve this murder" Chrysanthos is taken aback with all the sudden movements and spoken words. The royalty wishes his OWN daughter to pursue this murder on the school grounds? I hope I can help her in any way possible. If we can figure out the method of dispatching the body we would have the first step. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Ruina seemed to dispatch the king's guards with a simple wave as she turned her attention back to Chrysanthos. He squared his body off in attempt to keep her attention.

Like Ruina, Zephyr and Kehlani were hyper focused on Riden and the two royal guards. The wolves were relaxed, but intently focused on them. It was as if they could sense that something important was happening. Riden frowns at Ruina, who muses,"Will you be staying to help?" Riden shakes his head,"Sadly, no. Your father has requested I deliver the message and then return home immediately." Ruina nods, no doubt the king would want his commander home at once. It did surprise her that he did not want her home. Of course, perhaps it was that the king didn't want to see her.
Would that change once Riden returned home to inform the King and Queen of their daughter's sudden magical awakening? Ruina's lips thin,"And the guards?" The two guards step forward as Riden answers,"Your father has demanded they stay here. At your side, at all times." Ruina's eyes grow cold,"And if I demand they return home?" Riden sighs,"Rui." The princess relents,"Fine. But if they get in my way, I will send them back to the castle." The guards exchange a glance as Riden shakes his head,"Always so stubborn." Though there was a hint of fondness in his voice.
Riden then continues in a more serious tone,"I will be returning back to the castle. Messengers will be sent to receive and deliver news. Be careful Ruina. Whatever this is, it could be a whole lot worse." Ruina nods,"Be careful going home." Riden nods farewell before he turns and leaves. Leaving the princess with the two royal guards and the elf. Ruina sighs before turning towards Chrysanthos. He had offered to help solve the murder. Which, Ruina was willing to allow.
However, if it got too dangerous, she would have to cut him out of it. No use in getting anyone else killed. Besides, if this was a conspiracy, then it would have to be disclosed only to a select few. As was Truhan's royal protocol.
