As a pup I was told the necklace that the alpha's wear has a magical power, and once I became Alpha, I tried to figure it out. Through the years I failed to have done so, and now it's time to pass the necklace to my daughter. Perhaps she will have better luck than myself. "This necklace, it has powers that no Alpha that lives, or anyone who lives, knows about. Nobody has been able to call for the power, but legend says it will come to you when it's time, but only if you find the Cave of Crystals. Within this cave, it's told another necklace will form for your beta, and one more for your healer. What they will do, nobody knows, but what I do know, my little Luna, is you will be able to figure it out. I know you can." After telling her the story, it was time for me to step down as Alpha, and pass the necklace to her. RULES~ Alpha's are mates There is ONE Beta, and Beta's mate Alpha's may NOT be challenged unless the alpha has done something to endanger the pack Healers MAY have a mate IF there are more than 1 healer I will control day and night If you pick a high rank and do not post often, by default you WILL lose that rank ALL mothers MUST have mates You may NOT have crushes and mates with your own characters (kin is allowed though) M x F ONLY in this Rp You MUST have 2 or more characters to start, you may kill them off in the RP (but not right off the bat) Any pup signed up as under 3 months MUST have a mother (adopted or birth) Realistic coats only If you read the rules, PM me your favorite color You MUST be able to post 5+ scentences per post. We need something to go off of I will add more rules if needed No wolf is invincible ~~~~~ Pack Rules~ Alphas are either born into the rank, picked by the alphas (if they have no pups), or are mated into the rank The Betas are bred into the rank, BUT if there are no pups born to the beta (or any that live to the beta's retiring), the Alpha(s) will pick the next Beta A female healer may NOT have a mate unless she has an apprentice to take over when she has her pups and is nursing, otherwise they are allowed Omegas are not normally allowed to be in the pack unless they are too dangerous to not be watched at all times. They are not the weakest in the pack, but those who are nothing but trouble. Elders may be any age IF they have something that hinders them from helping the pack (being blind, seriously injured, or old age) Two healers may NOT be mates, as this will cause both healers to tend to their own pups before the pack. This does not mean they both cannot have mates, just not with each other Leads are picked by the alpha, and IF they are not doing their jobs, they WILL lose the rank. |

Spring is right around the corner. The pack will soon be able to eat the way they need to. I havent been alpha for long, but I need to pick my beta, and the leads before the pack thinks I am weak. I delayed my decision until the spring due to the sickness that had spread taking most of the elders, including my father. I did this for the pack, and now its time to pick, along with finally finding out what my father meant about this crystal around my neck he gave me. |

Luna~ Luna was up before the sun like most days anymore. She had a job, and that was being the alpha to this pack. Her head was held high as she glanced around the camp. She needed to plan who would be leading the next hunt, and patrol. *Hopefully this hunt will be more sucessful* she thought. The past few hunts only brought in small prey, and while Luna wouldnt admit it to the pack, she skipped out on a few meals to allow them to eat before herself. ~~~ Fang/Sky~ Fang gave a small stretch as he started to stir, feeling something touch his paw. He lifted his head and saw he stretched right into Sky who looked rather annoyed, though neither of them said anything. Both walked out of the den that the unmated wolves shared before Fang saw the empty prey pile. He could tell Sky was thinking the same thing, the pack needed large prey. Shaking his head, he sighed as Sky laid down in a spot that was slowly gaining sunlight. ~~~~ Kayleron~ Kayleron slowly started to stir, his old body stiff from the cold night before. He sighed as he lifted his head and glanced about. He saw a few shapes moving around outside the den. The old male slowly started to push himself to his paws before he stumbled slightly. The old male made it out of the den with his head hung low trying to keep his balance along with making sure he didnt bump into anyone. |

Leaf Leaf streached out on a warm rock enjoying the warm new spring sun. The wind rustled through the trees, a few birds that were back chirped out songs. He could scent the new growth starting in the tree tops. By now he could scent more wolves as they came out of their dens. Aush Aush wondered when they could hunt next. Winter and early spring prey was scarce and with out a leader there chances of hunting were pretty low. So far they had only brought back some small things each day. No were close enough for the entire pack. She blinked a few times then walked out of the den to the sunlight. |

Stolace He had woken up early. Knowing the changing of seasons was right around the corner. The change is winds, warmer suns; and what felt like longer days. For this winter Stolace decided to stalk the camp of a pack. They had wolves dying from disease, age, and hunger, and a brand new alpha female without a mate. An easy target to take food from, as long as he was careful not to run into to many of their members at once. Thus far he had been successful. He gave the air a good sniff and was relieved at nkt smelling another wolf nearby. This ment they hadn't started their hunt yet and were not out and about. No doubt just starting their day just as he had. Standing and walking he gave a good stretch and shook out the dust in his fur as well as the chill as the nights where still on the cold side. I need to get farther from their camp. With the warmer weather they'll no doubt come farther from camp then they have all winter, and I need food myself. He glanced over at his pile of bones that had been growing slowly yet consistently. Mostly snow hair rabbit, the unlucky bird that got stuck, and other small game. He knew the pack he was stalking was having similar luck and wasn't concerned. He made quick pace darting threw the woods careful to go over his own tricks so his scent didn't lead directly to him and instead looped around on itself in hopes to confuse them. A mile and a half off he had slowed down to a stroll and saw a small doe, no doubt so small from not having enough vegetation all winter. An easy mark. |

Lilith She was up long before the sun and doing small, tight laps around the perimeter of camp. She wasn't looking for anything in particular but new with the changing seasons they would be after bigger game and have more luck, so she needed to be in best physical condition. It is easier to take out an animal still tired from winter if your faster, stronger, and larger. And for her that started with running laps. So she did. Lap after lap after lap she kept running at a consistent pace. Occasionally jumping over logs and weaving threw trees to work on agility as well. Large prey moved unpredictably, so she knew she had to be able to follow no matter what. She only slowed to a stop when the sun peaked up over the trees over camp and made her way to the center to great the others and get the morning briefing and plan for today's hunt. She knew the young alpha was just a little excited for a morning not covered in snow. |

Stratus / Stratus had a good sleep, despite it being cold. But he was hungry. Painfully hungry. He crept out of the den, and sniffed at the empty prey pile. In hopes of finding a stray bone to chew on, he attempted to dig at the pit, but the hard ground did not budge. He sighed. Hopefully the hunters would catch something bigger today. Stratus then glanced at the forest. And hopefully no loners are stealing our prey, he thought grimly. // Yarrow / Yarrow felt many wolves around him waking up early. He grumbled sleepily to himself and curled up into a tighter ball. He squeezed his eyes, hoping to fall back to sleep, but to no avail. With a small exhale, he uncurled and lay on his stomach. He sleepily stared at the entrance of the den. A small draft of wind sneaked into the den, and Yarrow sniffed it. He smiled to himself. "Spring is here", he muttered to himself. Feeling suddenly refreshed, he stretched himself wide awake. He trotted towards the entrance, and sat there, observing the wolves that are already up. He watched how Sky and Fang were waiting for the sun to warm them up. He spotted a pine-brown tail disappearing off into the forest. Must be Lillith. Yarrow chuckled to himself. If only he had that much enthusiasm and energy again. Ah, thinking like an elder. Think younger Yarrow!, he thought, and shook his head slightly. He looked over at Stratus, and smiled bitterly as the young wolf was pawing at the empty prey pile. // Oak / Oak got woken up by his rumbling stomach. He groaned and turned to his other side, falling quickly asleep. He didn't look forward to another failed hunt today. And definitely did not look forward to the looks of disappointment on his packmate's faces, when the hunting group would be coming back with no prey. If I was the leader, then we would've had a successful hunt, Oak thought to himself peevishly, Even though there really was no prey on sight....and there were only small animals up and about.... With these trailing thoughts, Oak was back to sleep. // Harmony / Harmony was one of the wolves that was up before the sunrise. She has came back from a small border patrol: she only visited the east side of the territory. She came back satisfied. There were no smells of rogues (at least, she didn't detect them), and she has smelled a pack of deers passing through their tear. Her stomach clenched in anticipation for food. Harmony entered where her packmates were situated at. She spotted Luna, their alpha. She gave a little nod to her, while at the same time wondering: will the Lead Hunter and Lead Fighter be chosen today? Could the Beta be picked too? Could it be Chase? No, too young. Perhaps Brute? Harmony continued to go through the list of potential betas, and she lay down on the spot that got really warmed up by the sun. She rested, and half-closed her bluish eyes. |

Luna/Fang/Sky/Echo~ Luna watched as the pack started to stir, making mental notes of who would do what, and what was needed. She let out a howl, calling to the pack to listen up. "I want two hunting patrols. First one, Sky, Lilith, Oak, Aush. Figure it out among yourselves who will lead the hunt. Second hunting patrol, Brute, Kala, Embry, Echo. Once more, figure out who will lead the hunt." She watched as the pack seemed to listening. "As for patrols, Fang, Chase, Yarrow, head to the south, Stratus, Harmony, Hondo, head to the north. From there, the south patrol head east, north, head west. Figure it out amung yourselves once more who will lead each patrol." She wasnt sure how well this would work today, but she needed them to ready to listen to one another, not just her. |
