@Zodiac - can't be nursing if you're wearing Timberlands... some sort of a warehouse? manufacturing? I used to have to wear steel toe shoes for 12hr shifts 5 days a week. it SUCKED. I quit that job after about 4 months. The money wasn't worth not being able to do anything on my days off because I couldn't walk
@Zodiac - I also have problems with my feet. I finally found a shoe store that has people who are trained to check your gait and stuff as you're trying on shoes. My new shoes help a lot but I still need custom orthotics which are gonna cost me ~$400 cause my insurance doesn't want to cover them.
Flame thought for a moment before replying, "I did not know your father but he must have been a good cat if he got your mother." She chuckled as a memory popped up in her old mind, "Yes, half of the males had wanted Willow to be theirs. She kept them running and in suspicion of who she wanted. She was one of those that knew exactly what she wanted in a male, and none of the males in the clan could live up to it. Your father must have been an adventurer to keep up with Willow." She closed her eyes, remembering Willow's face in her mind. Opening her eyes, she saw Willow's face on Asami and her eyes softened. "I am sorry for your loss of both of your parents." She said, licking Asami's ears.
Asami smiled weakly. Tears poured out of her eyes as Flame licked her ears "its okay."Asami whispered "I just miss my mother..."Asami said "do you think that one gray she-cat would let me join the group?"Asami asked looking up at Flame "Mother had told me once about cats in the forest and she never said their names, it used to always make me and my brother, Kai mad, we wanted to know names and who the cats were, she only told us about your group twice and she used to talk about an old friend she used to have. Though she seemed happy on our adventures, it was like she felt guilty for leaving."Asami said, Asami smiled as she remembered how much her mother used to drag them around as kits, they had been to at least six different human places and lived by three different ponds, but Willow never seemed to get tired of adventuring.
"Well we will have to see about Szara. And most of the cats who knew Willow are gone know, so you wouldn't know them anyway." She sighed, "I told your mother that the clan would take care of me and they did, but I wanted her to follow her heart. I hope she didn't feel too guilty of leaving because I had told her once that if she left, I would always be here waiting if she ever got tired of the life of adventure." She smiled sadly before peering at Asami, "I want you to stay with the group and I will help in any way I can."
The gray leader sat on the top of the dens. She puffed her breast and looked proudly at the lands that belonged to her. Alone ... She was bored of it immensely, but it was part of her routine. The sun was slowly descending behind the trees. It will be evening in a few hours. But that wasn't what Szara was thinking about. She just remembered how, at this time, her father used to led her to this place and dreamed about her future, planned by him. When he disappeared, this little tradition was continued by her best friend Ares ... her heart felt warm. Yes, but actually where are they? She didn't even realize that one of them was just passing quite close to her territory. If her old black friend's ear wasn't injured, maybe Ares would notice the buzz that prevailed in his old house.
Asami sighed and she got up "I actually better get going, maybe ill come back tomorrow."Asami said with a soft voice. Sadness hung in her heart as she slowly walked out of the cave, she sighed as she headed towards the human place, she didn't want to go back to the human place, but being around Flame made her miss her mother.
Flame watched the young female go. She closed her eyes, memories running through her mind. "I will hold on for you no matter how long it takes you." She had once said to Willow. Padding out of the cave, she knew that she couldn't let go, not yet. I will hold on for your daughter Willow. . .and then I will see you again like I promised. She thought, heading back to camp with a slight limp in her step.
Asami dipped her head to Flutter "thanks, you too."Asami said. As she padded towards the human place she started to cry. She sighed as she got to the human place, the human place was loud, humans were always walking around, one time Asami almost got caught by a kid. Asami wished she was back in the forest.
Black tom was quite bored. He decided to do something useful before it will be dark. Following few scents, Ares went for exploring. At first it was nice. But suddenly some cheeky raccoon jumped on him and bitted his sick ear. He hissed loudly in pain when burned part of his the body stung. He started to fell dizzy...
Ares tried in vain to find way to home, but finally decided to sat down on the ground to recover a little. He didn't try to convince himself that everything will be fine. That wound probably looked even more nasty and dangerous. Well, such charms of being wild ...
Lily stretched from her spot watching the camp around her. Deciding to take a walk, she started for the exit. She threaded around the cats in the clearing before slipping out. Walking through the forest, her ears flicked in almost every direction, taking in all the sounds. Climbing up a tree, she perched taking in the scents and the feel of the breeze. She climbed back down before going towards the herb garden that she kept up with after the humans left it. She was almost there when a raccoon ran by. It ignored her and she smelled blood coming from it. That's weird, raccoons in this area don't hunt for food. They get it from the humans. Turning her head, she started following the scent as it started to thread with cat. Finding her herb garden first, she took a couple marigold's from it before continuing on. Once Lily knew she was on the right track, she started running feeling the earth to know where the trees were to dodge them. I hope that whatever it is isn't dead before I get there.
