@Zodiac - can't be nursing if you're wearing Timberlands... some sort of a warehouse? manufacturing? I used to have to wear steel toe shoes for 12hr shifts 5 days a week. it SUCKED. I quit that job after about 4 months. The money wasn't worth not being able to do anything on my days off because I couldn't walk
@Zodiac - I also have problems with my feet. I finally found a shoe store that has people who are trained to check your gait and stuff as you're trying on shoes. My new shoes help a lot but I still need custom orthotics which are gonna cost me ~$400 cause my insurance doesn't want to cover them.
The trees rustled as he approached the village. He saw that it was quite loud there. People seem to be preparing for something. On their strange wheezing machines on four wheels, they placed some objects. Ares knew that it will be better for him if he would avoid this creatures and its' mutated wolves. But he wanted to know what they meant. Cat climed at near little bulding where were staying humans' servants. From it's conversations that the he heard, it appeared that humans planned to set up a camp somewhere in the next day, and then start doing something there when some people from another village will finally came to them. Ares’s eyes shined. He have to keep eye on them. Maybe they will trow away some food? Ah, yes. Backing to food... Loner started to looking around for something to eat. Humans didn’t leave theirs today, nothing interesting in the trash cans either, but on left there was little chick that went to far from it’s mother. Perfect. Ares jumped of and catched bird. It was unable to call for help in his grip on the jaw. It quickly left this world. Tom as quickly as possible departed with the loot by a path known to him...
Flame nodded, "Of course. As soon as I show you our favorite hideout." She trotted a bit faster before disappearing into a bush. Once out the other side, it was surrounded by thorns and brambles but as she slipped through them, she came out to a small cave. Making sure Asami was still behind her, she went down an abandoned rabbit hole. "Come on! I don't want you getting lost!" She called, in case Asami hesitated. The rabbit tunnel flattened out into a huge cave with a river flowing through the middle. Flowers popped through cracks in the rock around it and an opening in the top cast sunray's to the otherwise dark cave. Taking a seat under the warm rays, Flame asked Asami, "Now, which stories would you like to hear first?"
Flutter came to his favorite place. Wth otters they decided to only bring to den what hunter hunt and didn’t assing one of them to Night. Hunt have end so now he had free time. Flutter’s favorite place was a piece of forest where were the oldest trees. Without any problems he could climbing on them and walking on their branches. Today he did same. It was really funny for him to running on them (and patrol ofcourse).
He hufted when he woke up. He streched and started to head back. He went into his den and curled up. He started to groom himself when he saw flutter. He followed him without making a sound. He tilted his head.
Listening to the elder cat, his ears flicked back against his cranium before he looked over to the loner female. Seeing the sadness in her eyes made him grieve for her. He sighed softly and frowned before looking down.
Asami sighed as she followed the elder to the hideout. When Asami saw the cave she gasped, it was beautiful. Asami layed down next to Flame and closed her eyes "I want to hear about why my mother wanted to leave."Asami said a bit of sadness still hung in her voice. Asami forced a smile and looked up at Flame waiting for the story to start.

Flame sighed, sadness shining in her eyes. "Ah yes. Your mother was an adventurer. She would explore our territory and hunt the prey, yes, but she would always want to see something more. She stayed with me for about 5 years after kithood. Then she started to go farther then our territory. When she came back, her eyes were full of wonder, hope and wanting. She would describe the humans in ways none of us would think of. She would take me with her on some of her adventures. She loved the idea of taking care of herself and not needing to follow any rules. Yes, those were some of her last times.
A couple days after she left on one of her adventures, a dog got loose and rampaged towards our camp. Willow came back to find that the clan had moved to a backup camp so that the fighters could take care of the dog. When Willow finally reached the back-up camp, she realized that she didn't love them like the wild. She had one paw still in the clan, and one paw in the wild open forest. She came to me and told me that she wanted to leave. She didn't want the clan to hold her back. That was her choice that she made. I knew I couldn't change it and I didn't want to. I saw my best friend happy and I wanted her to stay happy even if it wasn't with me.
That night, she said her goodbyes and left. She looked back only once before she was gone. I never saw her again but she left me with a lot of happy memories, bad memories and everything in between. I held onto the hope that she would come back even though my heart knew she wouldn't. Even though your mother was born in the clan, her heart and soul was wild."
Finishing her story, she looked over to Asami knowing she would have questions, "Questions?"
Asami let tears roll down her face as she listened "did you know who my father was?Mother always talked about him, she said he got a sickness and died after me and my brother were born."Asami said looking at the ground "she said he was a good cat."Asami sighed.
