Here will be the role play for "Mutants". Plot is on the sign up page and both links for that and discussion are posted below. (Will post whole plot later when I get the chance as well as a refresher on characters)
Sighing, the young teacher checked his watch. The sky being a dismal gray seemed to match his mood perfectly. Hidden by the shadow of an oak tree, he glanced back at the brick building, a newly built and modern high school ready for another year. A glass dome was at the top of the 2-floored roof, gleaming proudly. Why the government decided to bring a dozen experiments here had Chris puzzled. Including his own nephew. How dare they try to ruin his family again among the others. Running a hand over the fur that covered the sides of his face, he tilted his head as footsteps made their way towards the school. Leonardo. He recognised that light and airy movement from the figure as if it were on a test he had crammed for. "Nice to see you bright and early." The bell was set to ring in 15 minutes, his watch said.
"Not like I wanted to stay at home longer than I needed to," Leo replied, trying to mentally block the images that were flirting through Christopher's head. Too early to do that, the teacher guessed.
"If it isn't one of those special kids, stinking up the classrooms no less!" Miranda called out from the back of the class. She was perched on a desk with her posse surrounding her, a group ( NPCs) of popular kids all with looks better than any movie star. "All alone, too bad. Guess you'll just die out here a friendless loser! Come on guys, let's go before the rest of the "specials" show up! " Miranda headed for the door, but found it blocked by the young male she briefly saw outside. Leonardo White, we meet again.
"Your perfume is horrid enough to satisfy any ogre for a week, Collins, " he said, hinting that he heard the whole thing. "Would your daddy want to know how much money you spent on make-up yesterday? Perhaps I'll tell him if you don't make like a chicken and run." Crossing his arms, he cast a dark look to the rest of them and then shouldered through to a spot in the middle row. "Oh, and thank you for the lovely letter that had a bunch of childish threats inside it. Perhaps I will take after my mother and have my kid assist me in my death." Leaning back in his chair, he smiled as Miranda, embarrassed, ran away.
"You okay?" Miranda heard Leo ask that bothersome girl. Ugh...men.
"yep." She said, her voice shaky. It was visible that she had been upset by what Miranda had said. Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry. She then started drawing on a piece of paper to distract herself. It was a stick figure. Hmmm it's missing something..ahh got it! She then covered it in flames and drew x's as eyes.
"Yes, you're cooler than a cucumber," Leo said drily as he saw the stickman from his spot. Sighing, he transferred his thoughts to her telepathically, "It's okay to cry, just so you know. I won't judge you and plus everything she said was a lie." Hearing hurried footsteps, he turned back to the front and waited.
"Hey, sorry about the wait guys," Chris said as he came into the room and placed his book bag on the big desk at the front. There was no chair there; he preferred standing because of the tail. His ears were hidden under a hat, but it looked pretty uncomfortable. "Wow, from the look of things it's quieter than crickets. Well, you know why you two are here yes? The government asked me personally, not that it's really a big deal, to mentor you with your powers and report back to them...who's wearing Chanel perfume?"
Amber took a deep breath as she stood outside the doors of the school. Steeling herself, ready for some comments or remarks, she pushed the door open and stepped inside, making a beeline to her locker. Quickly unlocking it and putting her books inside, she breathed a sigh of relief that no one said anything, CLosing the locker with a small bang, she turned to see Leo talking to Lily. She headed towards them.
"Oh, hi there!" Leo said, smiling kindly. He then frowned as he saw some "normal" kids walking by, making faces. "Lily got bullied by Miranda, one of the popular girls." He sighed, wondering why anyone thought mixing them with average teens would be such a fantastic idea and that they would all get along. Kumbayah, Leo thought.
