Nothing super low will get you a lot of prey. Levels 10-20 are best if you want a lot of prey but if you don't have good wolves around 7-9 are best.

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽
werewolf ⋆ alpha male ⋆ mentions: Briar, Elle

Nothing could have prepared this man from the delightful sound of Briar's giggles. He didn't catch it at first, but when the sound made it into his ears he went silent with a soft smile planted on his lips. He would do anything to experience that again. He really should have kissed him sooner, especially if it was one of the causes for the giggles. Ikaris couldn't help but let himself chuckle, "Yeah, you. You're adorable." Then, his jaw tensed as he fought himself on what to say next. Thankfully he was spared from that when Briar playfully hit at him.

"Firstly, what the fuck, Ravik."

The intense warmth that spread across his skin delivered a clear message to Ikaris, he was a big blushing idiot. His first instinct was to hide the red that spread across his skin, but before he could even try to do that, Briar did something that took the oxygen out of his lungs and filled his stomach with butterflies. Despite the fact that he's kissed before, the feeling of the other man's lips on his own felt like it was the first time someone had ever kissed him, sending a spine-tingling feeling up his spine. It was electric and he couldn't help but lean into it. It was like someone had given him water after being dehydrated for years. He felt complete. He was almost sad when Briar stopped, but the man continued his barrage of affection and peppered kisses all over his face; from his jaw to his ears- and where else? Ikaris lost track but god- it felt so right and so... undeserved.

"Oh yeah? I think you're the one stuck with me-" before he could finish the word finally hit him. Boyfriend. Holy shit, boyfriend? In a split second his heart began to race in his chest as his mind ran a million miles a second. When Briar doubled back on what he said and made it clear that he wouldn't force Ikaris into it, the alpha reached a hand out to hold onto one of Briar's hands, "Are you kidding me? Of course I'll be your boyfriend. Fuck- I should be the one saying that. How could anyone say no to having someone like you?" Ikaris then raised Briar's hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to it before he set his hand back down, still holding onto the male's hand. If someone said that he wasn't the luckiest guy in the world right now, he'd call bullshit. How could this not make him the luckiest guy alive?

His heart faltered. Elle was the reason why Briar had disappeared? There was no way she would do that, right? Briar had no reason to lie to him. Elle on the other hand, only ever told lies if it meant she got what she wanted... so if she wanted him then- then she would definitely be a bitch and do that to Briar. All of the times he sought her out for comfort, telling her about how much he missed his friend... how he didn't understand why he just disappeared without a single 'goodbye'. She played him like a fiddle, never once caving in to tell him that she had caused it. Instead, she put on that smile and looked at him with her soft, golden eyes and whispered that she'd make him feel better. Elle did make him feel better, briefly. Kari shook his head, "I'm so sorry, I should've known she'd-" he let an irritated sigh escape his lips, "She's vile." All of his irritation towards Elle melted away as the beta rubbed his flushed cheek. Once again he leaned into the touch, maybe a bit too much, but he could care less about looking desperate. If there was one person who owuldn't judge him for it, it would be Briar. Hell, even if he did get teased, he'd be fine with it.

"You're telling me. This doesn't even feel like reality. Maybe this is what reality feels like." Ikaris lifted one eyebrow as he curiously watched Briar grabbed his phone before laying down and resting his head on his lap. The alpha made no move to take his phone back, he didn't really have anything to hide anyways. Maybe he would've had something to hide if Elle had managed to make him fold through text messages, but she had yet to do that- which in turn gave Ikaris the power to leave her on read. His phone vibrated with each new message, making Ikaris wonder what the hell was being said. He figured it was Elle on the other end already, she had been persistent to talk to him and see him tonight. When his phone was handed back to him Ikaris nearly choked on air at Briar's words, "I owe you a what now?"

Well. If he was to ever go out again in town, he'd definitely need Briar or someone else to tag along. There was no way he'd avoid running into her out there, and now that Briar had messaged her, she was surely upset, ready to find him and yell at him. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she didn't get the last say in this. That and she likely was already trying to figure out what her next move should be.

Simon Oliver Reed
Medic Assistant || M || En Route to Get Snacks || Mentions: Mosi (dir.) Raven (telepathicly dir.). Shadow (ind.), Pack telepathicly (ind.)
Simon was about to speak to Mosi, but his words immediately broke off into a startled scream as he veered to the side of the road and hit the brakes full force. Everything felt like slow motion from the moment the blur crossed them in the street; his hands clutched the wheel, his head swung forward from the whiplash of the brakes, and his eyes blinked to Mosi's seat where he desperately hoped that she was okay. The first breath he inhaled after felt like static in his lungs, and his heart pounded desperately in fear. Thank God. Luckily, nobody was hurt, Simon just had a severe anxiety and adrenaline rush that made him tremble for a moment in his seat. His forearms and hands shook, and when Simon looked at them, realized his body had partially transformed from the height of his emotions. Clawed, russet brown tufted fingers clenched the wheel, which shifted back as quickly as the fear had come on. Their seatbelts guarded them from a potentially killer headache; Simon's forehead had flung so far forward from the sudden braking that he had nearly whacked into the wheel. No cars were on either side of the two lane road that led into town. It could have been so much worse had someone driven by at the wrong moment.
+
The medic's stomach churned as it registered in his mind that the wolf before them was a stranger.
+
"Fucking asshole!" Simon uncharacteristically cursed and jammed his palm against the horn. His fit ended a moment or so after when he saw a recognizable form, Raven, tearing off after what Simon could only assume was a lone, trespassing werewolf. He dramatically fell back in his seat afterwards, head resting partially on the car's padded ceiling and head rest. He looked over to Mosi then after refilling his lungs.
+
"It's okay, it's okay," Simon was quick to comfort. He was just genuinely glad that she was alright. He figured it was only a matter of time before his car would earn some scars as well, especially living with a crew like theirs. Designated driver to a bunch of animals? These claw marks were the first to probably much worse. Simon's hand raised to rest on top of his heart. It pounded rapidly, but was starting to regulate. "God," he whispered under his breath, then forcibly exhaled. He rolled his shoulders to shake out his fear, and eyes watched the treeline where the two had disappeared.
+
"Raven, are you okay?" The werewolf mentally questioned. He hoped that their spiritual connection was deep enough for her to reassure him about her hunt, and to clue the rest of the pack in on something being up. If Mosi and Simon had to stop to aid her, he was certain that the pack wouldn't mind postponing their events tonight for a bit. He swallowed hard in anticipation.
+
"Mosi, I don't know what to do," Simon uttered verbally then. He ignited his car back to life, then slowly drove over to the correct side. He parked in the road's shoulder, off to the side in case of any traffic. "Should we go after them?" He asked her as he nervously nipped at his lower lip. Raven was usually quite resourceful, but if she was outnumbered, he worried about her survival chances. Outsiders could be aggressive to claim this territory as their own, he wouldn't put it past them.

Sloan Francis "Frankie" Emerson
Pack Member || F || Mentions: Tori, Mosi, Evelyn (ind.)
As quickly as the bloodcurdling scream had rang inside of her ear drums, it was gone. She was alone. She has been convinced that someone was in serious trouble, but maybe it was just an animal; rabbits make an awful scream when they're attacked, Frankie assured herself, and kicked around some rocks that didn't pique her interest. "Damnit," Frankie huffed out under her breath and backtracked a bit to find her phone on the ground. She has turned it on finally, then was assaulted with notifications. That's what she gets for shutting technology down for eight hours.
+
Frankie: "I'm okay. Found some bird skulls and mushrooms to bring home tho. 10/10 would recommend wandering in the woods. Delivered. 7:32pm.
+
Frankie wasn't sure if she should tell her best friend about what she thought was a murder taking place not far from where she wandered. Maybe later, she quickly decided. For now, she needed to get back to her car before she couldn't find it. Daylight was basically gone, and her scent trail in the woods was starting to thin out. As she wandered, she scrolled through the pack's group chat. A party? Now that she could get behind. But what was fun about attending a party sober? Frankie decided there and then that she'd hit up the bar to get just buzzed enough to enjoy the night a little more.
+
Frankie had pulled into one of the last open parking spots at the bar and unclasped her pack from around her hips to set in her passenger seat. Her car was a beater black car was was probably about twenty of thirty years old at this point, and it was a marvel that the thing still ran. Drac, she had named the vehicle and referred to it exclusively by its name. She probably should have parted with Drac years ago, but change wasn't necessarily Frankie's favorite thing, so she'd continue to nickle and dime her way with this one until it'd inevitably crap out on her. Today was not that day though, and Frankie gave the wheel a pat as she seemed herself suitable in the mirror and walked inside.
+
Frankie had spotted Tori immediately inside. Surprised and eager, Frankie all but practically ran to the regal woman. Frankie wondered how many guys she had to dismiss tonight; she looked beautiful. "Hey!" The fellow pack member had greeted. Luckily, the seat beside her had just freed up as the man excused himself to the restroom. She figured that he wouldn't miss his seat too much. "How's it going?" The raven-haired were asked happily as she slid onto the backless seat. Her blue eyes glanced at the bartender, but she seemed quite occupied, so it'd be a few minutes until she'd get served. Frankie had some small twigs stuffed into her ponytail and dirt on her hands and smeared across her left cheek. She smelled of pinewood, moss, and soil from her day spent foraging. It wasn't an uncommon sight to see the newest pack member in such a way. "Fighting guys off with a stick, I bet," the young woman added with a little laugh.
+
It was only then that her eyes really took in the rest of the room. A young man that very much has out done her in looks, and a sugar daddy of a blonde that seemed to be trying a little to hard woo him. That power suit was really flattering to his body, but it was a shame that he looked too hammered to appreciate what he has already. A few were practically blacked out in the corner, and some women were laughing a little too loud at some unfunny jokes. Another woman had made Frankie's gaze freeze and hone in for a moment; there was something that felt so familiar about her, deeper than just on the surface level. By the way her head hung, she seemed to not be open to the few men that ogled her from behind. Perhaps she'd invite her to join them? Frankie would continue to watch and wait for any signs that proved that Evelyn wasn't sitting alone as she rolled her shoulders and listened to what Tori had been up to this evening.

Calloway Royce II
Lead Vampire || M || Mentions: All Bar Attendees
Hell, why stop flaunting there? He was rich, and whether he would ever admit it or not, he was desperate for attention. Calloway set his drink down on Shoi-Ming's table for the moment and left before receiving a reply. He dismissed himself by pointing his index finger upwards and wavering it slightly. He'd be back, probably, if he didn't get swept up in drunken bliss beforehand. His bourbon was starting to make him feel alive.
+
His hands had slammed on the bar so loudly that it made the bartender and a few of the attendees jump. His fangy smile had abruptly followed. He looked like every other rich asshole that came into this bar, and Elle was already emotional from the shit night she was having. "Prepare yourself, sweetheart," he forwarned her before he stretched his hand over the counter to grab a glass without her permission. Following, a bottle of whatever alcohol was in arm's reach. He felt the overworked girl try to grasp the bottle, but Calloway had yanked his hand to the side abruptly and filled up his shot glass before clanking the bottle on the counter. Elle had quickly tucked it back to where it had belonged, and she had started to reach after him, but to no luck, had only grazed his blue suit hacket. She was having the most miserable night, and this asshole was really going to top it all off, wasn't he?
+
Calloway held his shot up high in the air and stretched upwards as far as his frame would allow for attention. Several of the bar patrons had already been watching him after his smack onto the bar's counter, so he sought the attention of whoever was still ignoring his existence. "Shots are on my tab for everyone tonight!" He shouted loudly, his voice echoing inside of the rectangular walls. His voice did a great job in hiding the buzz he was tending to, he sounded perfectly sober. "Go fucking crazy!" He said afterwards and craned his head back to down his drink. The medical burn and the attention made him feel alive and numbed the pain in his mind. He could hear Elle clattering around behind him to try and get shot glasses filled, and Calloway had turned around to toss her one of his cards to charge for his tab. His shot glass had followed onto the counter and whirled towards her trays of shot glasses to fill up. He needed to get wrecked tonight after what he went through this morning. Damn it Karina, what would it take to get you out of his head? His fingertips could practically feel the soot between them as they rubbed together, and his eyes tricked him into seeing visions of her behind the bar. Why was she everywhere? Everywhere?
+
"Please don't kill me," she said under her breath, her eyes were welled up with tears as they fixated on his face. Her fingers shook as they reached up to touch her own lips, and he heard an audible gasp huff out from her mouth as she studied the blood on them that poured from her nose. Karina broke into loud, frantic sobs, and stumbled backwards as her heels were caught on his suitcase. She fell backwards and onto the floor, and her body broke out into uncontrollable, terrified trembles. This was it, wasn't it? He watched her like a wolf watched a rabbit; a killer mesmerized by its victim. Her heart pounded so rapidly that her ears began to ring, and she couldn't quite make out what he whispered then. His gray eyes looked black, like his pupils were dialated to fill out the entirety of his irises, and when his mouth opened, his teeth glistened like a serpent's striking daggers. Her hand had scrambled around on the floor, and she felt the metallic, cold knife greet her body. She had risen it just in time.

Wēndù Shoi-Ming
Loner | Vampire | Looks 24 (Actually Nearing 400) | Mentions: Calloway & Elle

Before Ming could peacefully enjoy his food and drink, another potential suitor came and began talking to him. He had raised a brow in surprise, and he had to give a small giggle at the mention of him ruining that poor man's night. But then he was interested to hear that the other man would be covering his tab, and apparently he could. He would've smiled and offered the man a seat in interest, but there was something off. Maybe it was that the man was full of bourbon or that he seemed to be like him - a vampire. And it seemed he was very buzzed and couldn't handle his drinks. It was quite obvious to him that he was dealing with something right now, especially after taking a closer look and seeing some fresh scars and burns that didn't seemed to be treated. And he gave a concerned look, and noticed as the man began stumbling and flaunting and getting more alcohol. He wasn't upset about the man, he was upset with the bartender. And his face conveyed it as she filled more drinks. She was definitely breaking policy. And so he decided to stop this, a drunk vampire was a hazard. And so he took the last sip of his drink before standing up.

He calmly walked over to the drunken blonde, and gently yet firmly placed his hand on his shoulder saying, "Calm down. You don't need to do this, you don't need any more drinks." He said in a rather soft and soothing voice, one that was compelling and would definitely get him to listen. He didn't like using compulsion on his fellow vampires but this was needed. And once he calmed the man down he turned to the blonde who seemed upset.

"Close his tab." He said calmly.

All she did was scoff saying, " He's buying. So why would I close his tab, besides he asked for more drinks." She said annoyed and went to cleaning glasses.

"And you are breaking the law." Shoi-Ming said a bit seriously, his own annoyance shining through, " he's obviously had too much, and you're enabling him by giving him more drinks. You are responsible for cutting him off since he's visibly intoxicated."

"Tch." the woman scoffed, " Not my problem."

That was when Shoi-Ming put his hands on his hips in annoyance and disgust, " By law, you are responsible for your patrons. You can be held accountable if he goes out and gets in an accident because you decided to give him more liquor when you could've gently cut him off by offering nonalcoholic drinks and offered to get him a cab." He said lecturing the woman with a fury and unimpressed tone, " as a matter of fact, you are on camera enabling a drunk patron. How would that look to your boss? It leads to question, how many more people have thought done it for." And he gave a wicked smile as he watched her pale and look at the camera, now he aggressively stepped to the bar, "Now that I have your attention. Close the fucking tab, now."

He watched her flinch as he snatched the man's card from her. Good, she should be scared. And he gave her a nasty scowl, and flipping his hair walked over to the man to find his abandoned wallet, and found a name Calloway Royce. And he gave a soft hum, and he went back to his spot and grabbed his glass of water, and offered it to the man to help with the massive headache he would probably be having. And he softly patted the guy on the back, and after grabbing his stuff he gently guided him out of the bar.

Once they were outside he took the guys keys, and he used it to find his car. It was a rather nice car, and he had to giveit an appreciative whistle and he opened the doors and placed the man in the passenger seat and buckled him in safely. And he got in the drivers seat and started the car. And he thought about where he could take him, and he decided the man needed something sweet.

" Hey. You feeling any better? I was thinking of stopping at a nearby diner to get some food in your system. It's better to have eaten something after all those strong drinks." He asked, concern on his face, " if not I can just drive you to your house. The least I can do is make sure you get back to your house safely." He said earnestly.

The Beta Male | Male | Mentions: Ikaris, Elle (ind.) , Simon (text & call.) , Angela

The Beta was basically adoring the attention from his new boyfriend. What he had expected to end in sadness ended in a rather unexpected turn of events. And he had to look at his boyfriend, yeah his boyfriend in adoration as he stumbled over words when he demanded a date. He had to give another giggle at his cuteness, he looked completely shocked. It was as if he had never been asked on a date, and as he looked up at him he frowned a bit. That was concerning. " I said you owe me a date silly." He said with a pure smile, but then frowned as he said, "don't tell me you've never had a proper date with your ex?" He said letting the question hang in the air, and he sighed, " know what. Don't even answer that. Know why? Because I'm planning us a date and it's going to be romantic as hell." He said firmly with a determined voice as he sat up and hugged Ikaris. And then planted more kisses on his cheeks, and gave him a bright smile. He was going to cherish this man more than Elle ever did.

" You sir, are going to have an amazing date and I'm not taking no for an answer. You deserve a proper date, and I'm fighting anyone who tries to interrupt it." And he said this with a pout and soft tone. And he wrapped his arms around Ikaris's neck, and he pulled him closer for a gentle kiss, but you could practically feel the smile behind it. And he began playing with his hair, ruffling the blue-ish black hair. And he gave a soft snort at the flash of blue in the pale lighting, " You're like a blueberry. You should grow out your hair more, long hair suits you." He said teasing with a smile as he pulled out his phone, but not before giving Ikaris a quick peck.

He then looked up for any special events in the small town. And he grinned like an idiot. And he practically shoved his phone in Ikaris face in excitement, " Look! Look!" He said excitedly like a kid in a candy shop, he rarely got excited about things, but something special was happening, " the Daybreak Carnival is coming is town, starting tomorrow for the rest of the week! We're going on a carnival date. Ooo, that would be so fun, " and he jumped up, practically vibrating from excitement. " It's been ages since I've been to a carnival. I've only been to one so this'll be fun. I hope they have funnel cakes and deep fried Oreos." He said practically beaming.

And he was pacing back and forth in front of Ikaris. And he looked to him with a dopey grin, but his cheeks and ears were flushed with red from embarrassment, before pointing to him seriously, "I'm winning you all the stuffed plushies you want and you can't stop me." He said with a firm tone, but it was rather adorable considering he was a blushing mess and had his cheeks puffed out with a determined look on his face as he spoke.

He then took note of the untouched food and gave a short laugh saying, " Looks like your food got cold. I'll warm it up for you. Now don't you go anywhere pretty boy."

He shuffled over to the male and gave him one last passionate kiss, he had nearly toppled over him as he had given him the kiss. And he left, but not blowing him a flirtatious wink and kiss. He then walked back to the living room where Angela was probably still on her phone or reading. He had the food in his hand and headed to the microwave, but not before walking over to her with a terribly red face. And he was biting his nails with a nervousness.

"Angel." He said, as if he was conspiring with her , and in a hushed tone. After all he was telling her a secret, " he kissed me. He finally did it." He said in an excited hushed whisper, and he damn well was nearly about to swoon and pass out from remembering how it happened. It didn't help that his cheeks burned a furious red and he had an uncharacteristically dopey grin on his face.

He then noticed that no one was back yet. And he frowned a bit. Rather surprised by this and he checked the texts, it seemed Frankie had come back to the land of the living and would be back soon. He then began calling Simon to see if everything was alright. And he frowned as he got no response.

Briar to Simon : " Hey Simon, you guys alright? I was just checking in since you all weren't back and the run shouldn't have taken that long. Text or Call when you get this. Hope everything is okay."

Calloway Royce II
Lead Vampire || M || Mentions: Tori, Shoi-Ming
His hands had grabbed for his throat reflexively and gasped desperately. His lungs wheezed as they sucked in too little oxygen, and his vision blurred as blood from his neck spurted and poured out into his hands. It wasn't long before he had staggered backwards and grabbed onto her sofa for support. He could see the outline of her body climb back on to the balls of her bare feet, and how the metal glinted under the hard kitchen lighting. He continued to gasp and choke, his body growing weak. His feet tripped as he tried to step towards the front door. He succumbed to the blackness as his chest smacked onto the floor.
+
Everything had been a blur in the bar after he downed that last lukewarm shot. Every emotion throbbed in his mind, and everything was distorted and scary. He could hear the commotion, but it sounded like it was two rooms away; muffled and too hard to decipher. Karina's face was everywhere, manifestating out on everyone's faces. All of her stared at him. The room was growing black...
+
While Shoi-Ming had handled everything with Elle at the bar, Calloway had shivered behind him. His face looked haunted and lost, and he stared at the wood grains in the countertop in front of him where the shot glasses sat idly. A few of the patrons had tried reaching for what shots had already been poured, but he wasn't sure if they had success in snatching them up or not. He wasn't sure of anything. His jaw had clenched when he looked at Tori, the first person in the bar that had caught his attention. Her face wasn't clear anymore, it was like a blurred mess between Karina's face and her own, but somewhere in his mind he knew it was the beautiful woman's figure there. There was deep pain in his eyes as he made eye contact with her, and the hand that rubbed against his bicep to comfort himself had raised and reached out in her direction ever so slightly. He looked apologetic and frightened all in one go, with his dark brows squinting and his lips hanging ajar. Though the room spun around him violently, she was still. He had stared at her, desperately seeking some comfort and gaining it in the oddest way, in the minute or two that it had taken Shoi-Ming to shut Elle down.
+
The steps between the bar's counter and his car were completely missing in his mind. It was like he was sucked back into reality once his back smacked into the seat. His hand reflexively reached out to grab the steering wheel, but he wasn't in the driver's seat. His hand had thudded back into his lap, and his vision fixated on the air conditioning vent in front of his face. Out of his peripheral vision, he could see the smaller man walk around to the driver's seat. He blinked slowly when Shoi-Ming got inside. A tear skimmed down his cheek and over the rim of his strong jawline. He wasn't sure how long he had been silently sobbing, but his eyes burned.
+
What Shoi-Ming said took a few minutes for him to process. Once the words sunk in, his pale gray eyes found their way to the stranger's face. He could see him clearly now. Calloway stared blankly into the man's eyes. They were beautiful. He stared in silence for longer than he should have, trying to figure out how to say words again. His lips had finally parted after a few moments, and he leaned inward a bit. "I can't go home," he said firmly. He could only imagine the disappointment on the coven's faces when their alleged leader would walk inside in this way. He couldn't. The only reason he was in charge now was because of his father. He didn't want anything to do with that fucker right now. All of this was his fault.

Calloway's hand tried to pull open the passenger door, but the safety lock was on. His body trembled uncomfortably and he insisted on trying again, but he was enclosed. His eyes were flooded by more tears, and his fist jabbed the interior of the car in disgust. "I can't be here," Calloway decided and started to pry at the seatbelt around his body. He fidgeted desperately, but wasn't lucid enough to unclasp it. "I don't want to be around anything that was bought with this fucking blood money right now," Cal all but shouted out and slammed the back of his head against the passenger head rest. His hands started to frantically pull at his jacket and grunts of frustration followed when he had trouble removing it. The vampire tossed it into the backseat and his perfectly swept bangs haphazardly fell in front of his face during his panic. His button down, long sleeve white shirt was speckled with bourbon around the neckline, and where the hem was once tucked neatly into his black pants was hardly any longer.
+
"Please, let me out of here," Calloway pleaded. "I need to go for a walk or something, I can't..." the young man trailer off as he sniffled. His eyes kept bouncing from various parts in the car, and his face looked twisted by disgust and fear. He seemed too out of it yet to decide on if he was sad or angry.

Tori O'Connor

Werewolf - Pack Member - Mentions: Calloway, Ming, Frankie

Tori had been lost in her own thoughts when the voice of her packmate entered her ears. "You know I am not that mean to them...I just ignore them long enough and they walk away." A soft smile filled her features as she put a hand up shaking her head when the blonde female bartender looked at her as if asking if she would like another one. "Also it has been an interesting day. How is it going for you?"

While she waited for the other female's answer, her attention was once again pulled towards the male that had raised his glass to her. A concerned eyebrow raised as she watched his antics and it took only a second for the female to stand behind her seat. Her eyes locked on the male and his actions gearing herself for a fight if needed. That was until she saw his gaze focus solely on her and the pain in his features grabbed her heart.

The female took a couple of steps towards the male in response to him raising a hand to her but she stopped when the overly dressed male was a little overly rude about the bartender's actions. "You would be surprised how many small town bars like this have patrons that over drink. It happens all over and not something to use against someone."

She turned to look at Frankie and held up a finger as if saying, "Give me a minute." but when she turned to go to the male that was in distress, she was confused why he wasn't standing where he just had been but the sound of the door closing caught her attention. It wasn't long after that and she was also walking out the door following the pair.

"Hey, I don't think it would be good to just leave with him like that." She called out pausing her steps for a moment when she watched the smaller of the two put the blonde male into an expensive looking car. For a moment it crossed her mind that she should just head back inside but she couldn't get the pained expression of the man out of her mind and she walked up to the window just in time to hear him say that he wanted out of the car.

Without a second thought, Tori opened the door and crouched to fit in the frame of the door and looked between the two. "There is food at this bar that is pretty dang good. I have seen the burgers put some of the sloppiest drunks back to almost normal." A soft smile formed on her features as her eyes motioned to the seatbelt asking for permission to release the man from the object.

She reached across his lap and clicked to unhook the belt and sat back offering a hand to the male. "It is my treat and I won't take no as an answer for that. The food is to die for and honestly I could use a bite to eat before I head out." Her eyes moved back over to the other male losing the softness that they had held for the man that she was offering her hand to. There was an aura of protectiveness coming from the female.

Was she possibly getting into the middle of something she shouldn't? Probably but after seeing the way that the one man had practically called out to her without words had put her on the defensive for him, even if it meant she would possibly be fighting off someone that mistook one's drunken actions. The female would have growled if she wasn't worried that she was infront of humans and didn't want to cause more fear than was already apparent in the blonde man's features.

"By the way, I am Tori. Pleasure to be the savior of the night." Again the warm smile was on her features as she looked back at the man named Calloway. A part of her hoped he would take her hand and at least exit the vehicle. Even if they didn't go right back into the bar, she didn't feel that it would be smart to leave him in the car.

Raven | F | Beta | M: Simon(dir), Shadow(ind)
Raven came to a halt near town, lungs heaving. After that long run, she could feel something burning on her back but she couldn't twist her head far enough to see it. She sat down to rest, her tail flicking. The rogue had fought pretty well, for his size at least. She growled at herself for letting herself get pinned. But no matter how hard she tried to determine the situation and go over the facts again, she couldn't shake that feeling.

She was an idiot. She was way over her head. And the worst part was that she was scared to tell the others, even her alpha. Raven had been seeing her half brother in her dreams for a while. She hadn't slept well for a while, although she didn't let it show, from the last dream. A dream from her puphood that she couldn't begin to understand.

Raven whined, feeling her paws touch fur. A rumbling voice spoke to the female that pushed her closer to the other bundles of fur nearby. She curled up, her eyes heavy with sleep when the familiar scent of her father disappeared. She yelped indignantly, starting after him when the female pushed her closer to the pups again. She missed her mother, who was this female? The scent of milk distracted her pup thoughts and she latched on before disappearing into sleep.

Only a few weeks later, Raven jumped onto the bundle of brown and black fur, giggling uncontrollably. The bundle of fur seperated into two pups, both pouncing on her before fighting with each other. "Come along you two, we'll let her see her father for a bit," the female that had been taking care of her said, leading the two pups away. Raven turned to see the large black wolf bend down to her, nuzzling her. "Starting now, I'm going to teach you to take care of yourself. Your half-brothers won't always be there for you and you already know how soft Night is. Come, let's start with your shifting." He said.

Raven flicked an ear, coming out of the memory. When her and Night had been talking, days before that--beast thing-- killed him, he had said that it had just been him and her. There was only them two. When her father had taken her away for training, Night had gone into training himself with the other apprentices. The only sibling he knew was Raven. So why did she keep dreaming that there was three of them? She knew that her mother had died and that her father had decided to take another mate, giving her a half brother. Did her other one die as a pup? Or was it something else?

Her thoughts got interrupted through the pack link, Simon wondering if she was okay. She didn't reply for a couple moments, pressing down all her emotions. One thing she didn't like about the pack link was that feelings could be known in an instant. Once she was calm, she opened her eyes and sent calmly, I am fine Simon. I will meet you at the local snack shop in town. She didn't give away any more than that, not wanting to worry the pack. She would update Ikaris on it later, perhaps even after the movie night while she tried to get her own thoughts in order.

She practically growled at herself again. Why did that rogue have to be black, the same height, and build of Night? If it hadn't been that, then she would have been perfectly fine with just chasing him out. She wouldn't have even dared engage him if she could just have believed that it wasn't her half brother. Ugh, Raven shifted, wincing at the pain in her back before leaning on a tree. Her wolf whimpered in her head, more in grief than in pain. It had been a year. She needed to get over this. Shaking her head, she headed into town, ignoring the pain at every step and covering her expressions with her usual neutral mask.

Calloway Royce II
Lead Vampire || M || Mentions: Tori, Shoi-Meng
Calloway's breath was sputtery and frantic in that moment, and tears continued to pour down his face. Sad was the mood at this second, and his gray eyes were glassy and wide. His body didn't shake as bad, but his fingers knotted with each other and fidgeted yet. It was then that movement had caught his attention in the parking lot, and the man lifted his head abruptly to see what it was. Was she real? The woman in the bar had pushed through the entrance and walked towards the two that were getting settled into his luxurious black car. He swallowed hard and straightened up in his seat a little, worried about what she intended to do, but her face seemed more concerned than enraged. He hoped that was the case; fighting was not not something he felt capable of in this current moment in time.
+
Calloway jumped in his seat when Tori's hands tugged the door open and stuck her head inside. He was mute, but had started to tremble again with the uncertainty of her presence. His body flinched when she stretched over him and unclasped his seat belt, freeing him from his hypothetical shackles. Karina rolled him over with her foot, blood sticking to her kitchen floor and more oozing out from the motion. If it had not been for the neighbor's domestic complaint that had already sent the police on their way, he would have likely bled out where he rested. The knife had cut the surface level of his skin, all aside from a small incision in the center that had punctured inward...
+
The gasoline-scented air hit his lungs like a freight train when he found himself leaning out of the door. The confines of the car were too much right now; he had the tendancy of feeling claustrophobic when under the influence, but add on a panic attack, and it ramped it up even worse than usual. His hand ran through his messy hair and squeezed, and his eyes seemed to have a hard time determining on where to focus. If he could get more pale than he already was, he would be, and some dark circles had appeared under his eyes from dehydration. He remained seated, but his shoes planted on the crackled asphalt. While the colors of the streetlights blurred in his vision, Tori was perfectly clear. He tried to fixate on her, but his attention was still a little shifty.
+
"Calloway," he had introduced himself to the woman, then glanced back to the man over his shoulder as to not exclude him from the introduction. They both had saved him, and he had really needed it. Some more tears welled out of his tear ducts, and his pointed nose was red and sniffly. His hand held the exterior rim of the doorframe that he sat in, soothed by the coldness of the metal. The vampire's head tilted to lean against it then, enjoying the sensation of the cold against his temple. He held an ice pack in his hand and rested it on her knee. She flinched but accepted it, and thanked him with a kiss. Cinnamon spice and apples, he tasted it on her lips. Thanksgiving. She had just eaten a piece of pie that she had spent all morning cooking. The pain in her left knee usually flared up when she was on it for too long. "The sweetest," Karina smiled and wrapped one hand around the backside of his neck. She sighed in satisfaction as his forehead pressed against her own, and she could feel his gray eyes studying her thick brown lashes. When she looked back up at him, he kissed her on the lips again, and she felt him drop something onto her torso. "Marry me," he said...
+
Reflexively, Calloway's hand reached out and grabbed one of Tori's. He held it firmly, though his cold fingers trembled nonetheless. His eyes fluttered shut for the moment to try to stop the thoughts that swirled around in his brain, but he didn't have much luck. Food, food was the smart thing to do right now, he supposed. They both had suggested eating, so Calloway pieced together that it had to be the responsible thing to do. Responsibility wasn't something he wanted tonight, but he had two guardians now that he felt would keep him from behaving like his usual stupid self. Bar fights or blackout drunkenness was now not his intended path tonight. "I hate you! Get out of here! Get out!" She shouted, throwing his cologne bottle at his head. It shattered onto the ground, and Karina screamed in frustration. "Leave me the fuck alone, Calloway!"
+
"I don't...I can't," Calloway had mumbled. Everything felt twisted and hot. His fingers tried to unbutton the neckline of his shirt down some, but his teeth had grit in frustration when he couldn't unclasp the buttons. He yanked with a loud gasp and tore the top four buttons off, which went flying out onto the ground in all different directions. He inhaled deeply afterwards and brows furrowed. He hadn't noticed until now, but the smell of Tori's blood was repulsive, which he had never experienced when around humans before. Shoi-Ming's was neutral, but not anything that he craved. It was the same neutrality he felt when with his coven; drinking another vampire's blood had no appeal. But Tori, her's was different. It smelled wrong, off. Was she sick? His fangs pricked at the sides of his tongue as he thought in his own distorted way. Were these two even real? He looked back over his shoulder to make sure that he hadn't just imagined Shoi-Ming, and had reached back to touch his knee. Yes. Real. Vampire? The thought crossed his mind, but had just as quickly been replaced by another past memory. "Food..." he trailed off for a few moments as he adjusted. His hand had released its grasp on Tori's, and instead joined the other in leaning against the cold metal exterior of his car. "Okay, okay," he said, his voice slurred and generally off. He was still definitely on the edge and not in a good place mentally, but their combined efforts seemed to have made some type of progress in improving his current state, which alone was a rarity. Food might help take the edge off of how he was feeling.
