Dakota|F|5|Gamma|M: Shay, Tala, Sasha, Marco, Cosmo Dakota had left the camp as her hunting group followed. Cosmo had split up from the group and Dakota could hear a bit of talking in the distance. It was coming from the camp but she hadn't thought much of it. Hmm. There seems to be less prey around here. She thought. She looked at those following her and back in front of her, smelling the air and ground. She then caught a scent she recognized and a scent that she had smelled before, long before. The first scent was a deer and the second was a scent that smelled faintly of disease. Dakota stalked toward it. A dead doe lay in a meadow, twitching wildly with white foam coming from her mouth. Dakota growled. She had seen this sickness once before. She had been a pup and had found a dead rabbit with the exact symptoms. This was a problem but they had to find prey for the pack. I have to help the pack. I guess I'll use my power. She thought. She closed her eyes, and concentrated, focusing on her sense of smell. Upon opening her eyes, scents appeared in her vision more clearly. She saw this disease as an eerie white color. Dakota looked around, looking for a scent. Then, she noticed a light brown color. The color of deer for her. There wasn't any white mixed in so she hoped that this deer didn't have the disease. If it did, she would notice fairly quickly. She followed the scent quietly. Once she got close enough to smell the scent, Dakota closed her eyes, concentrating once more. She opened them and kept following the scent.

Violet The forest was too quiet for comfort, the birds stopped singing, it was dead silence. Violet trotted along, looking for some sort of prey that wasn't sick. She decided to use her power and ask a huckleberry bush if it knew where any prey was. Huckleberry bushes are much calmer and politer than trees. "Um, have you seen any prey around here?" she asked. The huckleberry bush twitched, “Hmmm, a few rabbits came over to eat some of my berries, but that was at least 4 hours ago.” the bush thought for a moment. “But there is something you should know,” the huckleberry bush shook in disgust, “I heard of a rabbit nibbling the leaves of the watermint bush down by the river, it had a strange foam around its mouth, there were also many sightings of other herb bushes getting eaten by foaming animals.” Violet was shocked and terrified. “Oh no, that’s one of our only sources of watermint and the animals can’t possibly eat all the herbs!” She had to report this to Ava as quickly as possible. Violet thanked the bush, then sprinted through the brush toward camp. Once she got though the entrance nothing changed, everyone was still pacing around. Violet charged through the healer’s den to find Ava giving Artic an herb. Ava looked up at Violet. “Do you need anything?” It took a minute of hard panting before Violet could get the words out, “The infected rabbits are eating all the herbs in the forest…-” (Watermint is one of the only herbs that helps with stomach ache ;-;)

Angel~(open) Angel was understandably shocked at the news. Her best friend had the foaming mouth disease?! They had already lost Tulip and couldn't afford any more losses. She couldn't help but whimper softly. Nightbreak sighed and nosed his friend. "I'm sure we'll get through this Angel. Our healer is quite talented, so I'm sure she can find a way to heal her." he replied, half trying to convince himself as well that things would be okay. His cool demenor reflected no sign of the worry he felt. Angel looked down at her hare. "This won't last long with so many wolves, I'll have to try to grab something more for the pack." Nightbreak nodded. "I'm impressed you found this with all of the infected prey. Be very careful to avoid infected animals." He told the young female. She nods and wags her tail. "I will Nightbreak!" She replied before trotting off. Edited at April 27, 2022 07:08 PM by MidnightMoon9521

Ava-[Violet,Arctic] Once Ava was sure Arctic had ate the herbs she was about to turn around when Violet came bursting through the entrance. Ava said "What is the meaning of this!?" Ava sighed and said " What do you need?" Ava had seen that Violet had been running for a while. She walked up to Violet and said "How about we take this outside and Arctic get some sleep." Ava then walked out of the den and stood just close enough to the den to hear if anything happened.

Duskfall said: Bandit~ [Voltage, Night] "W-what, oh hi Voltage, I saved you some deer." Bandit said while pointing with his muzzle toward the deer body. Bandit was happy his brother was here now he could use some emotional support after earlier today. He watched as Voltage walked over to the body and started to eat. Bandit lay his head on his paws and waited for Voltage to finish eating before talking.
Night He was watching from the shadows and sighed when bandit reconzied this wolf. He stayed hidden and wanted bandit to let him know its okay to come out. - Alligator He sniffed the ground and went hunting again to calm down. He found some odd tracks and followed them slowly trying to understand what the sent was.

Nightbreak~ (Open) Nightbreak watched Angel leave before walking towards Arctic's den. he found River cowering in it. "River it's me, Uncle Nightbreak." He called out with a gentle wag of her tail. River skittishly crawled towards him. Normally she'd bound to him, but she was still terrified from what she'd seen Luna do. She finally made it close enough to snuggle into him. "I'm scared Nightbreak! Alpha was scary!" She said to him as she whimpered. Nightbreak gently nosed the pup. "She had her reasons River, but I promise she'll never hurt you." He said trying to reasure her. Angel~(Open) Angel sniffed the air. She was overwhelmed by the scents of sickness around her. She pinned her ears back and tried to focus. *Come on, there has to be something not infected.* She thought to herself in frustration.

Voltage-Loner-Male-[Bandit and Night] Voltage smelled another wolf and turned to his brother. He said "Bandit is there someone else here?" Voltage wasn't being aggressive just worried for his brother. He turned to the deer and ate some of it before looking back at Bandit. Voltage wasn't entirely sure but said "Um...about earlier I had followed them with Tulip until I reached the camp....I was only able to see a bit before I almost was spotted so here I am now." He turned and looked around before saying " Do..You wanna know what happened to her? "

Night He perked up and was curious about this Tulip. He wondered if that was making him upset and he started to click pieces together. The barking. The yelp of pain. Bandit being sad. What if this was another loner who was killed or maybe a traitor? He shook his head thoughts swirling in his head.

Angel~ (Open) Angel was trying to search for the scent trail of any healthy prey. She wasn't having any luck, and she considered returning to camp to find someone else to hunt with. Before she could move however, the sickness grew stronger. She heard rustling in some nearby bushes and took a step back. Whatever it was had to be infected. It would take longer for her power to be able to make her go fast enough to escape since she hadn't eaten enough today, so she tried silently backing away. However, as she stepped back a twig snapped under her. Growling could be heard from the bush. *Shit! If I run now, whatever it is will attack the camp* She thought in a panic. A small coyote lept out. It wasn't much bigger than a pup, it wasn't even full grown yet. The sickly foam spilled out of the Coyote's mouth. Angel weighed out her options. She technically could kill this threat, but she'd probably get bitten. If she didn't fight it off, it could attack her pack. Angel used the bit of her power left to dodge the coyote as she struggled to figure something out. Angel spotted a tree. One of the branches looked low enough for her to leap to. *Maybe I can leap there and call for help* A she thought to herself. *Please work.* She thought. She knew she couldn't defeat the coyote alone. After another dodge, she made a break for the branch. She managed to make it, but the branch was barely thick enough for her weight. She'd have to be careful to balance herself and not fall. As the Coyote lept at her, she called for help terrified. "Someone help, I can't defeat this infected Coyote alone!" She hoped someone would hear her and be able to safely help. It took a lot of energy to stay on the branch.

Alligator He perked his ears up and thought "Oh no angel!" he ran as fast as he could and when he got close he used his camo abilty and sneaked up on the pup. He grabbed it swiftly and snapped its neck. He sighed and started to dig. Once deep enough he burried the pup. He then turned to angel and said "Are you ok Angel?" he sniffed making sure there were no more of them. He huffed in relief when he smelled none.
