Sparrow | 5 | F | Alpha | M: Raven, Valdis, Others around camp

A gentle breeze with the stale scent of prey drifted through her den. A yellow ear flicked in it, wishing it away. She was in the middle of a dream; a good dream. If you’d ask what it was she wouldn't tell, claim she couldn’t remember anymore. A tougher wind blew through, waking the dame all the way. Her head lifted from where it laid and looked at the light filtering through. The gentle chatter of her pack came through and it appeared she was up late. Sparrow put her head back down on the cool floor, thinking of all she had to do today. Without a sound the she-wolf stood. She stretched her back out and shook her pelt out. The pelt on this female was short and hung on her large frame.

A deep sigh escaped her as she glanced down at her empty den. It was time to get the day started. Her mind wanted to wander back to her dreams but she couldn't remember anymore what she'd just been dreaming about. Sparrows throat was dry after the night but a drink of water could wait. She needed to speak with her Betas before anything. The she-wolf stood just outside of her den looking at those who were awake. Good. It appeared both of her Betas were awake and talking already. Her steps were gentle like the breeze in the air as she started towards the pack. "Good morning." She said to the wolves she passed. The aqua eyes were gentle in their gaze as they flicked up and down her packmates. Sparrow might not be a mother to pups, but she felt responsible for her pack, they were like her children even if some were older than her.

Her body was relaxed as she came up behind Valdis. "Good morning Valdis, Raven." Her voice was soft as per usual, ears perked and her tail wagging at her Betas. "Have you had a chance to discuss your plans for patrols and hunting yet?" Her voice was like honey; Smooth, sweet and just the right kind of rich. Her full attention was set on her Beta's listening closely to their plans, gaze unwavering.

Toxiphobia

4 years | Male | Hunter | M: (Dir) None. (Ind) Aspen. Aria. Jiro. Other packmates.

-

Toxiphobia stared into the distance for a while longer, swiveling his ears around so he can hear what's going on behind him. Nothing interesting caught his attention, and all he heard was his packmates emerging from their dens and going to the center of the camp as they waited for orders from their wonderful alphas and betas. A few of the emerging wolves seemed to be headed towards the stream for a drink, which he really didn't want to deal with right now. But instead of moving, he continued to sit, and stare, only flicking his ears every once in a while at the sound of his packmates doing whatever they're doing behind him. Whatever they were doing, they were making some unpleasant noise, which he didn't appreciate.

Behind him, he heard the pawsteps of the first wolf who decided to drink while he was there- Aspen, stop for some reason before continuing towards the stream. Toxi turned his eyes in a way so that he could see Aspen's frame, which hunched by the stream as the dusty colored male lapped up the water. He pinned his ears at the other hunter and almost bared his teeth, but he couldn't tell if Aspen saw or not before he ran off to join the other wolves. Toxi made a low growl before returning his gaze to the water. The sound of water splashing instantly made him whip his head in the direction of the sound, his ears straight and alert. Recognizing the coat of the pack's apprentice, Aria, he peeled his gaze away instantaneously, and pinned his ears against his skull.

Toxiphobia heard her pattering paws as she scrambled away, most likely to go cram herself in her brother's fur for protection. He was tempted to go join the others in the center, but he decided that it was less stressful if he stayed by the stream for a little bit longer. He heard another wolf approaching and soon saw the figure of Jiro, a sentinel, approaching the stream. He turned to look at Jiro, gave him a slipshod nod in greeting, and then rose to his paws to go join the other wolves in the center of the camp.

Toxiphobia turned to begin his confident gait towards the others. Each of his pawsteps were hard and heavy, but due to the grass, it only created a muffled footstep. His freshly-cleaned claws managed to dig into the ground, making them once again dirty. They weren't as dirty as his fur was, which reminded him, he had to clean his pelt after all the dirt got in his fur when exiting his burrow. He stopped in his tracks, just to shake his fur out and send a few particles of dirt flying away from him. Then, he continued to stalk towards his normal spot in the center. He deliberately avoided every single wolf he possibly could, because he really didn't want to have to break another one of his deer's bones... but in reality, he desires to break one of it's bones, maybe even the bones of those smug high ranked wolves perching on the rock like they think they're some kind of regal bird, yet a real sparrow could probably do more damage than Sparrow can. It's debatable if Raven would be annihilated by the sparrow too.

Toxiphobia was pleased when he finally reached his spot, and immediately slid into this spot, and laid down with a contented but also still in a bad mood look. He examined the camp, his head pivoting as he assessed each individual wolf in his view

Night | 4 | M | Sentinel | M: Pack(dir & ind)
Sunlight filtered into the den, warming Night's coat. The male honestly did not wish to move. He did lift his head to look at the female beside him however. Her white and grey spotted coat almost blended into the den without the light. Night watched her sleep, a soft smile highlighting his face. However, it didn't stay there long as his ears moved to listen to the pack wake up around them. Night tilted his head to look at the entrance, noting the brute of a wolf that passed outside. While he gave no visible sign of growling, he would be growling on the inside. He did not particularly care for the large male as he knew many of his fellow packmates felt the same way.

Mentally shaking that thought away, he turned back to his mate, softly licking her ears before getting up quietly to not wake her up. Stretching out his back and then his legs, he padded quietly out of the den towards the stream. Night noticed that the camp was mainly alive now and currently awaiting orders from the betas. Picking up to a swift trot, he went over to the stream for a quick drink of water before trotting back towards the gathering place. He gave a nod to his betas before taking a seat next to one of the hunters, Aspen and the apprentice Aria. Night could not see his Lead, Mithra, but that didn't mean she wasn't close by.

Feather | 4 | F | Queen(former Sentinal) | M: Night, Pack(dir & ind)
...
The gentle movement beside her alerted of the rise of her mate, sighing contently when he licked her ears. Feather blinked sleepily against the light flooding the den, groaning softly as she rose and stretched stiffly. Padding slowly to the entrance she paused glancing around the camp, seems others have been waking already. Smiling as her gaze landed on a familiar smokey pelt, Feather waddled across the camp before settling at his side.
.
Gently leaning the top of her head against his shoulder as she yawned, fighting the remnates of sleep. Feather noted the betas speaking with alpha Sparrow, means they'd likely send patrols out soon. Sighing at the thought she noticed the dusty pelt of Aspen on the otherside of her mate, dipping her head to the hunter and giving a gentle smile to his sister hiding behind the larger male's frame.
.
Heavy steps drew her attention across the space, noticing the hunter she frowned. He seemed in even more of a bitter mood than usual, which likely wouldn't be good for patrols. Shifting closer to her mate Feather, tried to hide her concern. She disliked seeing her packmates not getting along, but she'd tried and failed to speak with the grummpy male before. Something about him put her on edge, she wasn't certain why though.

Raven | M | 7 | Beta | M: Pack (dir & ind)
Raven was still in his thoughts when a lumbering form entered his vision. Raven turned his eyes to one of the hunters, Toxi, as he lumbered out. The brute of a wolf was always in a corner side-eying him. Raven's focus flicked off the male as he went to the stream over to Mithra, their lead sentinel. He nodded his greeting to her before his eyes flicked over to the hunter and sentinel's dens as the pack began to get up. Looked like Aspen and Aria were ready to go. Hmm. . .where to put the apprentice?

Movement broke him out of his thoughts before he could place where to put the apprentice, signaling Valdis's arrival. He returned her smile as he replied, "I have not. As for morning patrols, I would like to send a scout towards the northern border before the hunting patrol gets out to the meadow. Make sure that is clear. There is a stale fox scent near the western border that I would like to check on. I might take Mithra or Night with me on that. We should be able to circle to the southern border and back by sunhigh."

Raven tilted his head for a moment before saying, "The meadows will most likely be brimming with prey today. We could send Aria out to head a patrol with Aspen, Aero and Kaido. It would give her good experience." He took a look over the pack again before flicking an ear, "For the last hunting patrol, we could send it towards the eastern border with the river. For that one, Toxi, Kasikedi and Jiro would do well. And of course, you can pick where you want to go." He said, offering a slight smile.

Raven tilted his head as he heard pawsteps coming from behind them. He turned to watch their alpha head towards them. At her greeting, he bowed his head before saying, "Indeed ma'am. Figuring out where to send the hunting patrols while dividing out the border patrols. We believe an apprentice leading one of the hunting patrols will do her good for her training." He flicked an ear, keeping his sights on his alpha in a respectful manner.

Shia | F | Queen | 5 | M: Aero, Pups, Camp(ind)
Soft light filtered into the cave, passing over the female's muzzle. The white wolf stirred quietly before her jaws widened in a soft yawn. Lifting her head, she blinked away her sleepiness as she looked outside. It looked like the pack was awake. Good thing her kiddos weren't. She turned her head to the sleeping bundles between her and her mate. Shia licked her pups gently, making sure not to wake them as she moved. Getting up, she licked her mate's ears before walking out of the cave.

Shia paused at the mouth of the den, her tail flicking every so often. The pack was gathered in front of the alphas and betas as normal. Waiting for patrols. She missed that. . .a teensy bit. She preferred waiting until everyone was out of camp before placing her traps. Much easier to snag a few before they picked up on the trick. Shia licked her jaws, turning her back on the pack to head down to the stream. She passed a few of her packmates, ignoring them as she lapped at the cold water.

Once she had her fill, she padded back towards her den. She poked her head inside to make sure the pups were alright before turning to head down a path. It would lead to the river outside of the camp. Not too far away from her pups but far enough from the pack. Trotting at a quick pace, she made it down to the riverside before diving in for a quick swim.

Kaido | 5 | M | Hunter | M: Pack

The muffled voices of the pack as they started going about their morning routines drifted into Kaido’s den, gradually stirring him much to his dismay. He couldn’t make out their words, but he could tell it was probably time to get up. No, it definitely was. Growling softly, the dark male lifted his head and opened his eyes, blinking away the night’s rest. He let out a yawn before picking himself off and creeping up to the entrance of his den. From the shadows of his den, he scanned the camp for anything remotely interesting.

The narrow view his quarters provided limited his line of sight to just the meeting rock and the space around it. Raven was there, chatting with the other upper ranks, throwing together patrols no doubt. Kaido grunted. He better not get stuck with someone who didn’t know what they were doing. It was boring enough doing his daily chores as-is; he didn’t need someone incompetent bogging him down further. He let out another grunt, already irritated at the prospect of hanging around fools all day. Well, whatever. It wasn’t his problem yet.

Kaido’s attention shifted from the Alpha and Betas to the rank and file that had gathered around them, patiently waiting for orders to be barked at them like a bunch of obedient dogs. Well, most of them, that was. Toxiphobia caught his eye, the freakishly large brute of a wolf that strutted around like he owned the place. He was laying in his usual spot, looking as unamicable as always. Toxi’s amber eyes usually gave Kaido the impression that he was picking a fight and today was no different, but so long as the temperamental male left him alone, he didn’t really care what he did.

Movement at the edge of his vision drew Kaido’s focus off the hunter and onto a white wolf leaving camp. Shia. The notorious “prankster,” as she liked to call herself, though a more accurate descriptor would be “nuisance.” She spent more time setting up her “pranks” than doing anything meaningful. Although she was a queen, she certainly proved time and time again that she had more than enough energy to go around that she instead devoted to playing with her little brats or worse, encouraging them to take up her disruptive hobby. And the Alpha, Betas, all of them lacked the spine to stand their ground and put an end to this nonsense because of her mate.

Kaido’s lip lifted slightly, momentarily twisting his face into a snarl. Aero. He wasn’t particularly fond of sentinels, but there was a special case. So long as he was around, his family was untouchable, and in his eyes, could do no wrong. Should anyone else try pulling the same stunts, Kaido was certain it would be nipped in the bud, but since it just so happened to be the mate of one of if not the strongest sentinel, it was only a harmless joke. Kaido turned and stalked over to the far side of his den, significantly more irritated than before. His day ruined before it began, the hunter flopped down into the dirt with a solid thump. If they needed him that badly, they’d come to him.

(Alrighty, here we go again! Revamping with this post hopefully)
Raven | M | 7 | Beta | M: Pack (dir)
Night | 4 | M | Sentinel | M: Pack(dir & ind)
Raven nodded at what was said to him before standing up to direct his words to the pack gathered. Most of them had come to the gathering area thankfully. Lifting his head, he started to assign the patrols, "Alrighty, to start the morning off, we are going to have two hunting patrols out today and a small scout patrol. Mentors, we will be having the apprentices lead one patrol today. Consider it a test of knowledge." Raven tilted his head towards the young female. "Aria, you will be leading a patrol to the meadow. In your patrol, you will have Jiro, Aspen and Kaido." He said, nodding to the hunters.

Raven turned towards the rest of the pack. "Mithra will lead the second patrol to the western border. Aero and Toxi, you will join them." Finishing up those patrols, he tilted his head towards the last sentinel. "Night, you will be joining me in a border patrol. We will be checking the eastern border and the northern border." Finishing up those patrols, he flicked his tail to Valdis and his alpha. "You two are free to join in any of the patrols as normal." Finishing the last of the orders, Raven let out the dispersing howl before jumping off the rock to trot over to Night.
~
Night nodded to the duties handed out before standing up at the dispersing howl. Raven joined him a moment later before nodding to him. Raven took off at a swift trot towards the exit of camp, Night following close on his heels. To be honest, he preferred running with the beta male to the others. The male knew what he was doing and they didn't have to speak much during the patrol. Night could enjoy the peaceful morning. Raven took the lead, his trot turning into a full on sprint. Night followed with ease, relaxing as the wind rushed through his fur, his ability allowing him to go faster than the average wolf.

Jiro | 4 | M | Sentinel | M: Raven (ind), Aspen, Aria, Kaido
Unwilling to leave his spot by the water’s edge, Jiro listened to the morning address from afar, carefully taking note of the day’s plan. Aria, Aspen, and Kaido. Not bad. The siblings were among the more sociable members of the pack, and although Kaido wouldn’t necessarily be his first pick for a hunting companion, he felt this would be a good matchup. Whether it be due to seniority or strength, Kaido seemed to hold the brother in some kind of high esteem. At least higher than most of the pack. Especially the sentinels.

Wiping away the water from his chin on his shoulder, Jiro turned away from the stream and started looking for his patrol. Aria and Aspen were easy enough to find, huddled together in their usual spot near the camp’s center. A few sniffs and a quick look around camp told him where the last member of their party would be, though it wasn’t much of a surprise considering the male’s general distaste for mornings, summer, and socializing–all of which he’d have to deal with now. Perhaps the meadow would make up for it. Although Jiro would rather hang by the river, the meadow was a sight to behold this time of year, the wildflowers carpeting the land with vibrant hues. And the boorish hunter performed well in the open fields, despite his insistence that he preferred the woods and the cover trees provided. If you could get him there, that was.

Maybe curiosity would tempt him out of bed. A “test of knowledge” Raven had put it. Jiro himself was curious to see how the apprentice would perform as a patrol leader. Pulling himself away from the water, he made his way across camp, stopping short of the siblings. Flicking his ear, he nodded a greeting to Aspen before addressing Aria. “Mornin’.” He closed his eyes for a moment, listening to the north. “The meadow?” He opened his eyes again. “It should be a good day for hunting. I think I hear something that way.” His yellow eyes shot back to Kaido’s den, the mouth of which remained undisturbed. “But we seem to be missing a member of our patrol. Do you want to get him or shall I do the honors?” he asked, a hint of sarcasm creeping into his voice.

Aspen | 8 | M | Hunter | M: Raven, Aria, Feather, Jiro, Kaido
...
Aspen shifted as the beta began to give out patrol assignments, pausing when his sister was picked to lead a patrol. 'A test of knowledge huh?' he pondered the idea, it wasn't terrible but perhaps there could've been a better way to test them. He sighed roughly when he glanced at his sister to see she was nervous about the idea. Pausing as Feather spoke to Aria, he nodded at her gentle words of encouragement.
His gaze shifted to the younger sentinal who approached, flicking an ear in greeting to the male. Aspen hesitated at the comment about there being something in the meadow, he didn't have the hearing that Jiro and his sister had so he'd trust their judgment. His gaze followed the male's at the mention of Kaido, glancing at his sister Aspen huffed.
"I'll get him" he spoke roughly, standing and padding over to the other hunter's den. Pausing at the entrance Aspen called into the space, "Kaido, it's time for patrol. Let's go". He didn't sugarcoat his words, just stated the obvious, waiting for sounds of movement before backing away from the entrance. Then returning to where his sister waited with Jiro.

Aria | 3 1/2 | Apprentice | M: Aspen, Kaido, Raven, Jiro, Feather
...
Lifting her head to attention as Raven started addressing the pack, stiffening as he informed her she'd be leading a patrol. Panic prickled her pent like needles as she nodded, gaze dropping to the ground as she stopped paying attention. However, a soft voice sounded, catching her attention. Glancing up revealed Feather, the queen wore a gentle expression. Speaking soft words of encouragement that made Aria smile, grateful for the she-wolf's words of advice. Glancing over as Jiro approached, she dipped her head sheepishly, "morning Jiro". Tilting her head as he spoke about the meadow, where they'd be going for the patrol. His words caused her to flick her ears as she tuned out the nearby noises, trying to listen for signs of prey. Catching faint sounds that very well could prove fruitful, she smiled and nodded in agreement.
Pausing however as the male mentioned the missing member of the patrol, her nerves prickly all over again, that was right, he'd be joining the patrol. The only other wolf she saw as a role model, yet she couldn't help how nervous being around him made her. This stupid childish crush was going to be the death of her, Aria silently cursed to herself. Hesitating when her brother flicked his tail against her side, before standing and saying he'd get Kaido. She frowned at his gruff tone of voice but shrugged it off, he likely just wanted to get moving. Although she knew well enough that her brother wasn't super fond of her crush on the other hunter, least she hopped he wouldn't do anything about it.
