By the time Hondk had made it to the medics den, he could barely stand any longer, even with the help of anyone around him. They had gently laid him down on a soft warm bed of moss, where Violet and Xola immediately went to work on his wounds. He could tell they were bad by the look on their faces, but he was to tired and exhausted to make any conversation. His breathing shallow, and the females having done all they could do for one night, they left him and went to do their nightly activities, leaving both Veracious and himself in the den. They had given him poppy seeds for the pain, but they were barely working at this point, but nonetheless he picked up his head to look at Veracious. Trying his best to ignore the pain that followed. What he saw was Veracious curled up on a ball sleeping, his stomach rising and falling slowly after each breath. Why he did this he didn't know, but his topaz eyes lingered on her for a bit longer, and a small smile appeared on his features, he convinced himself he was only watching to make sure she was okay, but as he laid his head back down, and closed his eyes, the only image he saw was of Veracious's sleeping figure before he too drifted off to sleep.
