Veracious Female | 5 Years | Mexican/Red Wolf | The Eastern Mountain Pack | Hunter | M: (Dir) Hymir. Violet. (Dir/Ind) Storm. (Ind) Xola. ~ Veracious had finished her short walk, her mouth curved and her eyebrows raised to make a content expression to rub the fact that she came back alive in Storm's face. Her amber eyes reflected a bit of a teasing look as her gaze burned into the lump of black fur that sat by the edges of the pack's camp. She made sure to make eye contact with him just to taunt him even more. She could tell by the way his frame stiffened up and his ears flattened against his head that she successfully irritated him adequately with her gloating. When he turned his gaze away from her, that was when the desire to taunt him was completely satisfied for the day. Her eyebrows raised confidently until she turned her gaze away to sniff the air. Turning her gaze back to him, Veracious examined his overall demeanor. She could tell by his bristling fur and by the way he was curled up that he was cold. After the blizzard last night, the weather was no weather to sit outside in, and definitely not good to take a nap in. Veracious had to admit, she was freezing with her fur because of how thin it is. Since she and Storm have similar fur, with the only difference being Storm having much thicker fur than hers, she knows exactly how cold he must be. Not too cold, but cold enough to make it unpleasant to sleep in. I'll go ask someone if there's a den he can sleep in. Veracious' gaze immediately swiveled towards the medic's den. There was the healer she could ask, but after seeing how busy Xola was yesterday, it's best to not bother her right now. But there is two other wolves I could ask... Her amber eyes immediately swiveled towards the faint outline of Hymir and Violet's pelts huddled near each other. Her son and her apprentice might know. She could tell that they were talking to each other, but she didn't care. Veracious began to make her way towards them. Is asking for a den for Storm even a valid reason to walk up to random wolves who are clearly having an important conversation with each other? She didn't care if it was stupid or not to ask. She didn't care. Or do I? No, she didn't care if they looked at her weird or not, or wondered why she was asking for a den. She'd rather not just guess a den and find out later that it was the wrong den. Veracious adjusted her face into a blank expression, trying to make her awkwardness totally invisible. They'll probably smell it, but it's better than being visibly awkward. "Excuse me." She started when she was close enough to the two. "My friend, Storm, is cold. Do you know a den that he could sleep in for now? So he's not freezing?" Veracious stopped at about a five or six feet distance from them, trying not to invade their personal space, and also because she didn't want to get bitten in case she interrupted something too important.

Alha | F | Alpha | SUP | M: Pack(dir&ind) Alha's ears perked as Freya came over with her piece. Looking past her towards the prey pile, she blinked in surprise at the deer. How did she miss that? Was she that worried about her sister to not notice the prey in the center of the clearing? "Thank you for pointing that out Freya, I had not noticed," Alha said, dipping her head gratefully to the larger dog. Turning back to her small patrol, she said, "Let's go mark the borders and where the traps are from the riverside. We'll follow it upstream towards the waterfall before making our way towards town." Alha paused for a moment before huffing, "At least, I believe that was Shadow's border. We'll know when we smell fox."
Alha stood up, nodding to Harry to go before padding towards the riverside, pausing momentarily to wait for her patrol.

Hymir The Great Eastern Pack | Scout | Four | Male | Mentions: Violet, Veracious The male pinned his ears back in an embarrassed manner ; closing his eyes and bracing himself for a bite or being chewed out. But he was met by the warmth of Violet's fur and he opened his eyes - and he couldn't believe his ears - she had said yes. Oh, he could hear his mother now, and he had a smug grin on his face growing at the thought. She had been screeching at him about grandpups and making her a mother-in-law before she died of old age. And here he was, he had gathered the courage to ask out the girl of his dreams and now he was making part of his mother's wishes come true. The young male gave a haughty scoff at her teasing, "Well, I managed to get my words out somehow didn't I, sweetheart." He said teasing, his muzzle close to hers - a flirtatious chuckle escaping him before he let out a sigh, "Honestly, I expected you to beat me up for even asking you such a question." He said rather bluntly and then he wrapped his tail around hers and leaned on her with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "But now you're stuck with me. No take backs." He said mischievously as he licked her nose and behind her ears tenderly. "Should we announce our courtship to my mother tonight or go and let the Alpha know first? I say mother first - because I just know she will nag me to death if she isn't the first to know about this." He said with a rarely used amused tone. And he would've continued but then the sound of someone approaching caught his ears and they perked. Slightly veering back in irritation - could one seriously not read the mood? A slight growl of annoyance slipped out, but he turned to give her attention. And he gave her a blank stare ; she was asking him about dens. That was rather stupid, shouldn't her brother have built himself a den for the night - everyone had their own den to sleep in, otherwise it would cause problems. He let out a deep breath to calm himself from being too rude, but he was still annoyed at the matter and timing of the question. He was trying to be romantic for the moon's sake and here she was interrupting a very special moment. "Firstly, I will let you know that I am annoyed you interrupted me and Violet's moment by asking such a mundane question of me. Could you not read the mood and have even worse timing," he said bluntly and clearly annoyed but gave a sigh, "Secondly, shouldn't the question you ask be directed towards one of the Betas? I know Rags is still near my Mother's Healer Den ; and the den isn't open unless he has started to show signs of frostbite or hypothermia. And lastly, most of us build dens ourselves - have you not gotten to making yourself a den yet? I can offer a deer pelt of mine for warmth if needed." He said promptly and curtly - annoyance and impatience clear in his tone yet their was a hint of kindness and trying to polite about the manner. Afterall, this was a mood killer.

Violet l Female l Medic's Apprentice l Eastern l M: Hymir, Veracious . Violet blushed, even though you couldn't see it beneath her thin, dusty gray melt. A smile crept across her face at his reply, the teasing she knew all too well, as this was the Hymir she knew. The Hymir she loved, and now, he was here, and her his. She lifted her ice blue eyes to meet his. "You really thought I wouldnt say yes darling?" She said, he smile brightning. "No take backs huh? I was thinking about trading you in for a squirrel, at most a small rabbit." She said, her voice soft, teasing him once more. He mentioned the fact of announcing their courtship, and before he even finished she knew who to go to first. Xola. She was pretty much a mother to her after he mothers passing, her father, a fine young warrior, had died in battle, protecting this pack. She hated thinking of them, as she'd never met her father, as he'd died almost directly after her birth. Her mother hadnt been the same, her gaze always clouded. Eventually, she had passed from illness. She'd never told anyone, of course most of the elders and older wolves knew. She met Hymir's gaze again. Pushing those thoughts back, said, "We should tell Xola first." He knew the way she said it would signal to Hymir that she was upset, her body going tense at the thought, but suddenly another wolf entered the picture. She left Hymir's gaze, and met that of another wolf. Veracious her name. She became slightly annoyed, as any other wolf could see they were having a moment, and she held back a growl. He coukd tell by her posture she didnt care about what was going on, that she was there for herself, no one else. Hymir's body tensed, and the ends of her fur stood on end. She heard a growl come from Hymir, and she moved a little closer to him. It seemed she was asking abiut dens, as if she didnt have ome already. She knew they dug their dens out, except Violet, who used the medics den. Hymir offered a deer skin, and she was glad he wasnt too angry. "You can use the spare." She said, untwirling her tail from Hymir's to point towards a small den, towards the border of camp. "It was dug for me, but I dont use it. Ive just been using it for storage." She added quickly, turning her attention to a very small den, as ut was dug for her when she was an apprebtice. She used ut for storage in the summer, when there was an abundance of herbs, but for now Veracious coukd use it, until she dug her own den. With that finished she twined her tail with Hymir's again. Then turned her attention to him, clearly sugnaling to Veracious that this conversation was over. "Now where were we?" She asked, a smile creeping back on her face, and a newfound glint in her ice blue eyes.

Brute l Male l Beta l Raven l M: Willow . As he layed there next to Willow, Brute just couldmt help but feel happy. His life flashed before his eyes. A possibility of pups, of a safe future, his role as Beta he might be able to give up in a few years, retire as an elder, and become a grandfather, but as he thought about the certain future, his mind kept drifting back to his past. He was able to keep Fallon out of his thoughts, but his past before that, before this pack. He looked over to his mate, locking his Golden eyes with hers. "Willow, you've told me a bit about your past, and I want to tell you about mine." He said, taking a deep breath. If they were gling to make this work, she hadnt told him to much about herself, but saying that, he knew there was more to her story, and part of him wanted to know. Maybe if he told her about his past, she migjt tell him more. Only Night knew his story, because it was the Alpha himself that had been there. Once he had reached her attention, he cleared his throat and started, "When I was a pup, I was born to two rogues, each hated by this very pack. I have no clue what they did, but it got serious. My parents fled, leaving me behind, Night was younger at the time, and found me wandering about the mountain. He had just gained the rank as Alpha, and he let me join his pack. I later found out that my parents were killed, but by that time I was an apprentice. I mourned of course, I'd known them for awhile, but part of me wishes they didnt leave. Of course I wouldnt be where I am today, Beta of the Pack that saved me." He paused, looking to his paws. He hadnt realised how much he actually cared for his parents, no matter what they'd done. He looked back up to her. "But now I'm glad, Ive met the love of my life." He moved closer and nuzzled her cheek. "And I could never be happier then who its with." He finished, a smile forming on hus coyote colored face.

Silver | F | Member | SFP | M: Bardou Shalah | F | Medic | SUP | M: Bardou, Ore(ind), Sundown(ind) Foxes | SFP | M: Bardou Shalah nodded at the beta's words before going into the den to grab her herbs. Dropping them by the beta, she listened quietly to the interaction while tending to Bardou's wounds. She wasn't going to mess with the skull for the moment. Shalah was actually unsure of what to do regarding the skull. She would wait for Sundown to return with this pack's medic before deciding. Although. . .once she was sure that the pack's medic would take care of the female, Shalah would head pack to her own pack. Who knew what trouble they were getting into? Besides, her sister was probably worrying right about now.
Silver listened to the female, flicking an ear at the request. The two foxes had calmed down enough to look like themselves again. Icicle settled at her paws while Frost sat attentively at her side. At the warning, Silver let out a quiet chuckle, "I appreciate the warning but I'll be okay. I survived for a good amount of time on my own, and besides, I have my pack with me." Saying that word made her smile. Pack. She had a pack. Silver looked down slightly, meeting Icicle's eyes as the small fox beamed at her. Frost apparently didn't catch the thought because he was staring at the beta with an annoyed face.
"I hate to break it to you sweetheart, but we aren't your messengers. Why doesn't your packmates go after them if it's such a necessity?" Frost said bluntly, his annoyed expression portraying his displease. Silver rolled her eyes, "Ignore him. He's just mad that Shadow disappeared without him." Frost's fur fluffed up before a "hmph" left him. He was quick to trot away and jump into a tree but Silver continued, "We're on it. We'll be back before you know it." She said cheerfully before standing up. Her tail flicked as she waited before she trotted towards the cliffside with Icicle on her back.

Veracious Female | 5 Years | Mexican/Red Wolf | The Eastern Mountain Pack | Hunter | M: (Dir) Hymir. Violet. (Ind) Storm. ~ As the two wolves' gazes turned towards her, their irritation clear on their faces. Veracious took a step back in case one decided to lunge at her. As expected, though, they only glared, their ears flattened down. The first to speak was of course, the male, who instantly began to explain his anger to her. According to his small mind, he thinks she's stupid and can't tell that he's irritated. Right before she was about to snap at him, then he decided to offer a deer pelt. A hint of politeness in his tone reminded her that she also had to be polite to them, even if they are being somewhat rude. By interrupting them, I'm being more rude than they are. They have every right to be irritated and snap. Veracious turned her attention towards where the female was pointing, noticing a very small looking den. It definitely needed to be dug out more to fit Storm inside, but it could work for now. "Cool. Thank you." Was all she replied before she left to go back to Storm. She didn't even say anything to Hymir's genuinely kind offer, but he probably won't notice since he's too focused on flirting.

Flame | F | Elder | SFP |M: Bardou(ind) Shalah | F | Medic | SUP | M: Bardou Flame yawned, finally climbing to her paws. She was more tired than usual. Moving to the front of the cave, she looked out over the camp. Her ears could pick up the faint talking and pawsteps in and out of the camp. Moving towards the cave wall, she leaned against it, watching her paws as she navigated down the steep path. Getting to the bottom, she padded towards where she smelled prey. Taking a rabbit, she laid down to eat as she listened to the camp.
From what she picked up, Icicle was playing around with Frost or Silver while the young female spoke with Bardou. Their scent started to faint as they moved away and their pawsteps headed out of camp. Flame finished eating before standing up. The snow was cold on her paws as she made her way over to where she smelled Shalah.
The medic finished up with Bardou before moving to her side. Shuffling came nearby and Shalah lifted her head to see Flame making her way over to them. "Good morning Flame. Did you have a good sleep?" Shalah greeted her, earning a tired smile. "As best as I could. Good morning Bardou, I hope you are feeling a bit better. If you don't mind, I'm going to steal Shalah from you for a bit." Flame responded, nodding her head towards the two females. Shalah nodded, "Yes, my work here is finished for the time being. I'm sure your own medic will be here shortly." Shalah said, giving Bardou a gentle nudge. "I'll be back to check on you soon Bardou." Shalah finished before getting up.
Moving to Flame's side, she started walking, guiding the blind female towards the exit of camp. They would probably take the medic's path out towards where the Stray pack was now. Flame padded gently down the path as Shalah guided her out of camp.

Killjoy | M | 5 | Alpha | Eastern | M: Rags, Hondo, River Head turned towards the entrence, his ears perked, body tense; Was that a rouge? Was it an outsider? His body relaxed when he realized it was Hondo and Illusion. He saw the white and brown Lead Hunter slink to his den, no doubt to feed his mate. One last glance at River, Killjoy made his way towards his Beta. He scanned the brindled male up and down, ears flicked back. "Busy morning?" He questioned, noting the scent of the earthy wood tones dancing on his pelt. He arched his neck, looking around for Rags. When he couldn't find her, he nodded towards the entrence with his head, tail flicking behind him in annoyance. His normally kind blue eyes were clouded with an angry hue. They were wasting daylight, and his Beta female was no where to be found. His paw steps were silent as he led the way, giving a nasty side-eye to Illusion who stood in his den watching. His ears flattened back against his head, muzzle scowling at him. He saw in the corner of his eye that the male had retreated back into the shadows. He wondered just how far he wanted to speak to Hondo; He wanted it to be close for Rags to be able to find them, yet far enough from any nosy wolves. With a sigh he sat down off to the left side of the entrence. He waited for Hondo to get comfortable in a spot before he began to speak. "I fear we aren't very prepared for this cold front.." His voice faded, looking back into camp. He'd failed to do his duty, and he knew that they were going to pay for his fault. His head turned quickly to Hondo, meeting his eyes, "I need as many wolves as I can out to hunt, in groups, no less than three," Determination shown in his eyes, "The cats are hungry, a strangler will be a snack. I don't want anyone else to end like Brecken..." His eyes flicked towards the river, ears back, had Marbled made it home last night? His pupils dialated, shivers running down his spine. Killjoy turned back to Hondo, unfocused now. "Umm, anyways, what was I saying? Right, hunting in groups no less than three. I also want our medics to go out with no less than two packmates flanking them. All hands on deck. Please run this through Rags, talk about it together, and we'll meet back up tonight and make a final plan, once that is set in stone we'll tell the pack." He gave a curt nod and stood, "Now please excuse me." . The forest was silent, a trickling feeling that he wasn't alone crept down his back, his hackles rising. He glanced over his shoulder towards camp. He needed to find his sister, she was all that he had left. The tips of his ears were cold from the winds, his paws feeling raw on the cold ground. He picked up a trot then a lope. Panic ran throug his veins but it was far too icy to act on that fear. He didn't dare call out, feeling uneasy. He paused at the top of a hill, gazing down. A heap not too far down stream caught his eye. Carefully, he made his way towards it. "Marbled?" He asked. This wolf was frosted over, clearly dead. He let out a whine when he realized it was his littermate. Killjoy bowed his head, grief hitting him like a wave, taking a seat next to his sister.

Hondo l Male l Beta l Eastern l M: Killjoy, Rags, Veracious . Hondo entered camp, and immediately noticed the Alpha male, seemingly sitting there waiting for him. He was aware of Illusion slinking off towards his den, and heard the muffled cries of his pups as he entered. The Beta turned his attention back to Killjoy, who also seemed to have something else on his mind. Hondo smiled at the comment, "You could say so," He replied, a small chuckle following, as he followed his Alpha towards his den. As Hondi got settled, his tail wrapping tightly around his paws, his ears swiveled forward attentively, as Killjoy got started. As Killjoy began to speak, he realized the Alpha was correct. Hondo had already prepared the dens, the moss linings keeping in some of the heat, but not all. They were short on food, the pile that was once stacked with prey of all sorts was almost bare with just a few rabbits and a squrriel. He nodded at his Alpha mentioning the groups of three, but took a breath as he mentioned Brecken. He hadn't known him well, but he was still a member of his pack, that he couldn't protect. He hadn't gone down to pay his respects yet, as he was in the medics den after his attack with the cougar and the trap. Hondo could tell something was soft though when the Alpha mentioned Brecken. And Hindo realized it was because of Marbled, his littermate. Marbled and Brecken had been close, and she hadn't returned to camp in some time following his death. When he mentioned the medics Hondo nodded and said, "I'll be sure to talk to Xola and Violet before the end of the day." He nodded when he mentioned Rags, replying. "I'll meet her in the medics den to run it through with her, and then I'll find you and report." With that the Alpha rose to his paws and left camp, no doubt to find his sister. Hondo rose to his paws and headed towards the medics den, seemingly to go and discuss matters with Rags, but as he made his way to the den, he noticed Veracious. She seemed the be near Violet and Hymir, who were clearly having a moment. He could talk to Rags later, Veracious clearly was itching to be out if camp. He approached the female, and decided to be quick to business. "Veracious." He said, stopping to looking into her eyes. "I can see from afar you are itching to get out of camp, would you mind joining me on a patrol?" He asked, awaiting her response.
