Sasha || Hunter || M: Storm, Others
Sasha looked to Storm and said, "There haven't been any announcements as of yet. Chinook, Luna, Moros, and a few others are gone; I'm not sure when they will be back. Until then, I suppose we are to stay put. Hunting season is coming; we can't deal with much else."
The hunter's thoughts wandered to whether or not humans would show up soon. They had a habit of popping in at the worst times; the scouts' jobs would be extra strenuous soon, as the surrounding territories would have to be constantly checked and explored. Sasha released a deep sigh before tensing at the sounds of approaching pawsteps.
Her eyes turned to the entrance in time to see every missing wolf return to camp all at once, and Tulip did not look like she was in good shape. Sasha instictively moved closer to Storm as Luna's anger radiated in strong waves across the pack, and she stayed silent as the alpha spoke.
"You are a traitor and will be treated like such!"
Whatever had happened out there, the alpha was not playing games, and the sober realization of what was going on hit the red female moments before the word "death" was uttered. Sasha stiffened as Luna lunged at Tulip but could not look away from the gruesome ordeal. So began hunting season, and it was not in the way she could have imagined.
Kirik || Scout || M: Sliver, Ragnar, Others
Kirik had felt the bile rise up in her throat as the caravan of wolves had entered the camp, and the uneasiness in her stomach had grown exponentially at both Luna's address and the events that immediately transpired. Sliver seemed to have taken it hard as well, but the elder disappeared before Kirik could say or do anything. The scout did not dare move. Luna's bitter question prompted Kirik to look around the gathering of wolves with a newfound unease; were there traitors among them?
She was unsure what Tulip had done in the first place, but now there was only a lifeless frame to even call by that name. The female began searching for her sisters, and in doing so, Kirik caught Ragnar's cold blue stare, somber and knowledgeable. Chills ran up her spine. He knew, didn't he? What else did the male know?
Ragnar || Fighter || M: Arctic, Druig, Others
Tulip was dead. Ragnar watched it all happen with resignation clear in every part of his body. After all, he could hardly ever change the future -- Ragnar only saw bits and pieces. As Tulip stopped breathing, though, he seemed to relax just a little. At times, he thought he was going crazy with his dreams, but this proved him sane, for now.
"...Ragnar... Southern and Eastern borders... You know what to do."
The voice of Moros carried to the dark male's ears and his icy blue eyes fixed upon him. Ragnar had to think back for a moment to remember which names had been said before his, and then he moved over towards Druig and Arctic. The latter was obviously extremely upset after the whole ordeal, but Ragnar could think of no sympathies to offer. Instead, he opted for silence.
Natan || Fighter || M: Fang, Jay, Others
Natan had seen death coming a mile away when Luna, Chinook and the others had entered with a storm of angry and fearful emotions combined around them. He didn't even have an ability that dealt with sensing emotion and he could tell that murderous rage was in the air. He was, however, taken off guard by how truly that fury was manifest as he stared at the bloodied body of Tulip.
Well, that had been unexpected.
He was grateful when Moros began dishing out assignments and took no time in appearing beside Fang and Jay. He dipped his head briefly but did not otherwise really acknowledge them, as his thoughts were going in so many directions with so few tracks to run on. His trains of thought were on several collision courses all at once.
Chinook || Beta || M: Luna, Nala, Kanok, Scout, Kirik, Arctic, Others
His face was set in cold, grim stone as Luna stormed away from Tulip's body. Chinook watched Arctic approach the corpse and decided he would bury the hunter after giving his own orders. He looked around at the shocked wolves and released a low, quick bark to snap those out of their reverie while also to gain their attention.
"I want all four scouts out on the watch for a temporary camp outside our territory. The humans are coming, and we cannot be so predictable as to stay here where we are easy to find. Any potential densites should be noted.
"As for everyone else, those going out on patrol especially, any sightings or signs of rogue or loner activity in or near our borders must be reported. One weak link is enough; we cannot deal with both humans and outsiders on our doorstep," he said, tone firm and neither kind nor cruel. It was what it was. Chinook then walked over to where Arctic was hunched over Tulip's frame and murmured, "I need to bury her now. Find your group."
Afterwards, Chinook would need to find Luna again. He was worried for his friend's state, now, as this had added stress upon an already breaking back. She would need his support now more than ever.
