He flinched with shock. Misty and Persephone? His friends? And not him? Of course not him, his mate would miss him too much. But he would miss Misty and Persephone so much! He walked over to Persephone first. "Good luck. I'll miss you! Come back soon, alright?" He licked her muzzle, trying to smile, and hoped that she would be back soon. After all, the herb could only be a moon or two away, Night wouldn't send her pack members away. He padded up to Misty with just a simple, "Goodbye, and good luck."

He puffed out his chest, smugly following Skylark. He was gonna get that herb and then everyone would bow to Oriole, the discoverer of the Blackcough herb! He liked his team, too, with Mirai, his sister, and Wander, his friend. Especially Mirai. She was so nice! He hadn't seen her all day though. He wondered where she was.

Luna was frozen in shock. Persephone? Her friend. She twisted to look at her with the alpha. She worked through the crowd. When she finally made it through the crowd, she curled up and began to sob.

During the meeting, Mirai is surprised to hear that the Alpha was going to send her along with Wander and Oriole to find a herb that could save the pack. At the end of the meeting she decides to obey and meet Skylark, however, she was curious about what the other two chosen ones thought about it. She looks around for her brother until she finds him, he was walking in the same direction as Skylark went. Mirai runs towards him "Hello Oriole! Did you hear what he said? I can't believe he trusted us with such an important mission" she comments to her brother. She sees Wander too, who seemed even more surprised than her.

He spoke to both Wander and Mirai. "We got selected to get this Blackcough-healing herb! Isn't that amazing?!" His long black and blue tail swished, and he brushed the white tip along someone else's nose as he strutted after Skylark. He finally had an important job! And with Mirai! Yes!

Still sitting in her place, Kayla watches her grown-up pups walk away to go with the Alpha. Although she is a little sad about the fact that they would have to be gone for a while, she is hopeful since she sees this as an opportunity for them to become more responsible and besides, that herb would be a salvation for the pack. No more sick wolves or dying pups.

Luna cocked her head at Nightingale. "Can I talk to you in private?"
