Starting post:

The first snow falls to the ground, winter is beginning. Each pack is accustomed to snow, but not like this. Food is scarcer than ever, and some wolves may not survive. More hunting patrols go out, but come with less food.

ForestLeaves Camp:

A large dip in the ground, with an entrance surronded by brambles. There is moss on the ground.

DarkClaw Camp:

The same shape as ForestLeaves, but with very steep stone walls. Pine trees surround the camp.

Windrunner Camp:

A wide, shallow dip in the ground surrounded by bushes.

RiverShine Camp:

An area of land with a rushing river around it.

Snowfall Camp:

The same as ForestLeaves Camp, but branches overhang the camp.

Dakota stretched her forelimbs, slowly exiting the den - glancing around the densite before diving snoot-first into the snow like a fox, her tail wagging excitedly.

Avo waded in the river surronding the camp, looking for a good trout. She saw a fish swim against her paws, and she leapt onto its back. Avo grasped the fish in her jaws and smacked it against a rock, killing it. Avo picked the fish up and padded back into camp, her tail wagging. She dropped the fish into the pile of prey and streched out her legs. Avo walked over to her den and tucked into a circle in the moss nest, her light-grey tail covering her black nose. Avo had thick fur, thank goodness. It was freezing.

Yael lifted her nose as a snowflake landed on it. She walked out of the den and into the main camp. A blanket of snow lay across the camp, white and soft. Yael padded through the snow, her tail wagging slighty. She walked out of the camp and through the snowy forest. Maybe she could catch a rabbit or something before the snow got worse. Yael smelled the faint scent of a rabbit, and then the scent of Dewstone. Maybe he had killed it Yael continued walking, her dark blue eyes glimmering in the morning sun. She started a trot, then a canter, then a sprint. Yael halted just in time to see Dewstone just a mouse-length away. She skidded to a halt at the sight of the wolf, "Oh! Sorry, Dewstone."

Yael dipped her head to the other wolf, before bounding away into the forest. She spotted a small, brown rabbit and stalked it. Yael leapt a bit too early and startled the rabbit into jumping away. Yael chased the rabbit through the forest, cornering it on a boulder. She leapt onto the rabbit and bit the back of its neck, killing it. Yael took a bite of the small rabbit, it was skinny due to the cold. But tasty nonetheless.

Little Bear yawned softly, squinting in the darkness of the den, looking around until he spotted Zane - getting up and waddling over, he pawed at the other pup gently.

Avo woke from her nap, snow still falling. She stretched out and walked over to the middle of camp, where the prey pile was. Avo picked up a small fish and walked over to the edge of camp to eat it. She looked over at the river, and listened to it's rushing water. Avo finished the trout and walked over to the shade-tree that her den lay in it's roots. She settled into her den and wondered if she could go on a border patrol later.
