Archer MacMillan | Launch meeting room | Mentioning: Everyone lol Going to Earth was never Archer’s main dream for his life. No, he thought he would end up like any other MacMillan man, securing the Exodus II day after day, maybe settling in with one of the women here, having a kid or two since the limit was just that - two - then die of old age. Now, he was peering around calmly as their launch team assembled. This was actually happening, and he couldn’t tell if it was exciting or nerve-wracking. He could never show how he felt, of course. Scaring Luna or her friend was never an option; they were too sweet. The main launch crew seemed a little light, by a few people. Maybe they slept in? He had been told it would be ten at the least, then more if the ground was safe. He had speculations that the Exodus II just had far too many people on it, or the resources weren’t what Lead said it was. All in all, this trip was meant to see if the Earth was safe for humans again, and they were all the guinea pigs. He raised a brow as Dyno latched on to Luna’s friend, hopefully the little robot wouldn’t chew on them all on the way to the ground. Dr. Luna Asteria | Launch meeting room | Mentioning: Dyfais and Dyno! (Totally reminds me of Cupcake and Dino and Idk why XD) More people coming into the launch zone made things start to seem a lot more real. Everyone, save for the technicians operating their pod, was going to the ground. No one in their life time had been to the ground, not physically anyway. Drones had been sent, but they weren’t as useful as humans. She clasped her hands tightly together, her legs shimmying from side to side gently as she tried to desperately shake the impending anxiety that had begun to creep into her chest. Dyfais and Dyno making their entrance into the room made it a little easier. They were friends, and Dyno was just the cutest little terror for a robot she’d ever met. “Hey.” She said softly to Dyfais, before pulling out a small toy for Dyno from her pocket. She’d tried to keep treats and such for on board pets and robots, even if she had none of her own. Maybe she should have… General Kellan and launch managers | Launch Meeting Room | Mentioning: Everyone It seemed like just about everyone was on time. General Kellan let her gaze cross along each and every face, before clearing her throat to begin to speak. “Welcome. I trust you all have everything you’ll be taking with you on your journey to the ground.” She paused for just a moment, before continuing. “I speak for everyone aboard the Exodus II when I say how much we all truly appreciate and are thankful for each and every one of you and your bravery to step foot on Earth. No human has been on the ground in over one hundred and fifty years, as it is known. No one knows what will be down there when you all land, so please, stay vigilant and listen to your militants that are with you for safety. The pod is equipped with mobile labs and everything needed to survive on the ground for at least two weeks. By then, so long as the labs are clear, we assume you’ll all be able to have began to set up a small system to feed, shelter, and keep yourselves safe. May the Universe be kind to you all. “ She ended her speech with a solute, before walking from the front line. “Launch will commence in thirty minutes. Please make way to the launch pod when you are all ready.” One of the launch managers spoke clearly to the crew. Edited at January 15, 2025 01:49 PM by Infernal

Tadashi Akiyama | 24 | Male | Chef Tadashi ran like his life depended on it, his gear clanging loudly as he rushed through the slightly crowded halls of the Exodus II. Black locks whipping in his face as he panted for breath, skidding to a halt just seconds before he nearly collided with someone. Of all days for him to sleep through his alarm, why today!? Gods he was so in for it when he finally got there. He thanked every force in the universe that his mother had been up already, having woken him up just in time. "Watch where you're going boy!!" A rather large, statured man grumbled gruffly at Tadashi, before carrying on his way as Tadashi raised both hands in an apologetic gesture. "Apologies sir!" He called out after him as he clasped his hands together as he gave a small bow to the man who had by now turned his back to the boy. "Ah shoot!! Gotta go, gotta go-!" He exclaimed as he regathered his things and took off running once again. As he reached the launch room, the doors slid open with a soft hiss, allowing him to rush in rather clumsily as a few of his things dropped from their bags onto the floor before he chuckled nervously, bending down to pick a few things up, as more fell out to replace them. "Sorry I'm late!! I still made it on time right??" He asked sheepishly, finally standing up straight with a rather... Disheveled appearance; his hair sticking out in all directions, and his headband hanging loosely from his forehead, slightly covering his eyes as he softly pushed it back up with a goofy smile on his lips, crinkling the corners of his eyes ever so slightly. Jamie Williamson | 24 | Female | Farmer | Mentions: Everyone seated. The small puppy had just about fallen asleep in her arms when the squeak of the dino robot caused him to jump wide awake. His ears pinned to his head as he growled very much hiding behind the two bags that were also in his person's lap. "Oh Raven stop that...we need to make friends not enemies while we are here." The chuckle leaving Jamie as a whine followed her little reprimand of the puppy. Her attention taking in the two others that had stumbled in and offered a wave. "It looks like you made it right on time. Otherwise you would be looking at an empty room." A small jest as she stands, shouldering both of the bags and the puppy under her arm who was still glaring at the other tiny being. Jamie moved to stand next to do the door that led into the launch pod. Her heart beginning to race as she waited, not wanting to be the first one into the pod. Panic began to work its icy grip around her heart, only held back by the excitement of the new adventure that was waiting for them. "If no one else wants to be, I guess I will get on first. Got my stuff all ready." With those words, she stepped through the door into the launch pad, finding her assigned seat, setting Raven on it as she packed away both of her packs then lifting him to take the seat. The puppy happily barking when he is set back upon her lap. Soon he lays down curling into a ball after thoroughly walking in a circle to get comfortable. Jamie's hand gently brushed along his back, the motion and softness of his fur keeping her grounded and ready to keep moving forward. Just a few more minutes and they wouldn't be trapped on this metal ship anymore. Soon they will be traveling somewhere, where they will hopefully be able to breath fresh air and touch solid ground. Be able to not worry about someone or something constantly watching their every step. Freedom to finally be themselves...well at least herself.

Aurelius Alvarez | 24 | Male | Engineer/Architect | Mentions: General Kellan, Launch managers, Tadashi Akiyama and Jamie Williamson - Aurelius removed his book away from his face when the Launch manager and General Kellan entered the room. Tucking the book away into his bag, he brought his attention towards them and listened intently on what they had to say. As General Kellan spoke, he grew worried. 'Enough supplies for 2 weeks??' The thought passed through his mind. It seemed that the possibility of death was even greater than Aurelius could've ever imagined. They didn't have enough information to even be certain that they could sustain farms that would produce edible consumables in a matter of 2 weeks, let alone a fresh water source. While Aurelius wasn't any sort of farmer at all, even he knew that growing crops could take a season or two to cultivate. It seemed that they would likely have to rely on the hunters to provide food for them once the two weeks worth of rations were gone if they hoped to have any chance of survival afterwards. Perhaps he'd be able to invent and engineer useful mechanisms that would help them survive. He couldn't be too sure until he saw the state of the earth's surface with his own two eyes. - Once the speech was over, Aurelius turned his head feeling his heart leap to his throat in surprise from a sudden and loud intrusion. There was a newcomer at the door, and it looked like he'd dropped several of his belongings onto the ground in a clattering commotion. 'His hairs a mess.' He thought, feeling irritated. Any sort of disorder or clutter always drove Aurelius mad. though he kept his thoughts to himself, he couldn't hide the subtle look of distate on his face as he rose to his feet, picking up his bags and turning towards the launch pod. 'That's the last guy I wanna sit next to.' He grumbled in his head, though in reality he usually prefered to sit alone anyway, and who he sat next to should've been the last thing on his mind right now. Being raised in a rich family had caused him to be aloof and to judge people too quickly. - He hesitated at the entrance of the pod and peered inside, scanning the area for his deisgnated seat so that he could get himself settled. Spotting his seat, he settled down near a girl with a puppy on her lap and proceeded to place his bags at his feet. Edited at January 21, 2025 08:58 PM by SlateBikerThugs
