"That's not a bad idea. But can the pups travel that far? And what about Ace?" Juniper supposed that the adults could carry the pups, but Ace's blackcough had only been getting worse. And this weather wasn't exactly ideal for herb foraging. But where could they go instead? Their old camp hadn't had much shelter. His fur raised anxiously and his tail swished.

Selene was stressed. Not only was her life in danger, but all the other survivors, the pups and all the friends she'd made along the way. She couldn't give up! Not yet! Not after all this! We need to try. "I think it's best to head as far away from the spreading fires as possible. And far from the sea, we can't risk a flood. And we need to go now, or we'll all catch some kind of disease from this weather." She said, thinking off any safe places for the time being. "The fires are in the east, the sea is north and the city is far south. Does anyone know what's west? The city is quite far, are there any other options?"

"No idea. This is the farthest west I've been," Juniper said.

"I'm not completely sure, but I've seen mountains in the distance. The mountains are probably even farther than the city, but heading in that direction might be the quickest way out of the fire," Pandora said.
