Juniper's ears flicked up when he heard pawsteps. He turned around. "Hey... Sparrowhawk, was it? Cool name, by the way."

"I found bagheera in the woods. She was.. tangled up in wires... She's not coming back..." I say quietly, stopping Hawk from running into the cave wall.

I look at Selene confused." I don't even know who that is. If your talking about the cat who attacked you then oh that's sad." I look away and stop Luna from running into the same wall Hawk was about to

He nodded. "Yeah, I'm Sparrowhawk, and thank you! I like my name. What's yours? I didn't catch it." He considered for a moment, then slowly, gritting his teeth, rolled over onto his back, showing his belly to the deer. Not in submission, to show that he meant no harm. He liked how excited the deer had been, how it hadn't been too scared of Ace. He liked this deer. But that didn't make showing his belly any easier. It was a position of great danger, and any dog in it was incredibly vulnerable. His thick fur protected most of his body, but his underside was just fluff.

"Yeah..." I say, licking Hawk. "I saw something that I never want to see again..." I say, and her face popped into my head again. I shook my head. "Have you eaten?" I ask. "Let's grab a snack. The pups look hungry." I say and stand up, to go to the prey stash.

I look towards her and nuzzle her neck." You go ahead with the pups I'll be there in a few hours." I say and walk to the top of the den we are sleeping in and lay down sun bathing

"Okay" I say and head over to the food stash. I give the pups small pieces of rabbit and eat the rest myself. I take the pups over to Night and her pups. I thought that they might as well become friendly while they're still small. "Hey there" I say to her "Have you named them?" I asked, sitting down next to her with the pups between my paws.

"It's Juniper," he told Sparrowhawk, feeling a little more at ease. "This place is pretty nice."
