Aradia | Female | Prisoner | M: Jarek - My ears perked up at the call. Pardoned? No way. This was a trap. That was obvious through and through. But still... there was a tiny, tiny chance that it wasn't a trap and I could be free. "Fine, fine! I'm up, I'm up!" I growled at Jarek. He hadn't been very hostile, but I was in no mood to be ordered around. I rose to my paws, gave my pelt a quick shake and glowered at the shakira with my good eye. I brushed past him and out of the den. It was a bit chilly, but not too cold. The sun didn't bother me now. I shifted my weight on my paws as I waited to be told where I needed to be. - - Xiomar | Male | Shaman | M: Orion; Eudora - I grimaced as I rose to my paws, reminded of my duties. "Alright, I know I know." I growled at the beorn. My gaze flitted around the camp, looking for someone who could help my set up the ceremony. Then shrugged and made my way out. I could do it on my own. I worked faster and better that way. I wandered down to the lake, not in a particular hurry. I picked up stray feathers along the way. I'd find a use for them later. The walk to the lakeshore gave me some time to think about the current situation. The alpha situation, to be more specific. A female as an alpha was like having a mouse rule a group of eagles. It wasn't right. I doubted we'd make it to the next spring before we were all dead. But if she were eliminated... I shook my head, banishing those thoughts. Attacking, or getting someone else to attack the new alpha would have dire consequences. Consequences that I might be able to get out of or around for a while, but that wouldn't last. I'd be caught. And killed for treason, or if I was lucky, saved by a miracle, exiled. Besides, even if I did pull it off- who would I involve? Or, at least, frame? This was a multi-wolf task. Absobed in my dark thoughts, I barely noticed that I had arrived. I looked up to see Eudora already there. I flicked my tail in greeting and got to work clreaing and cleaning the shore. Cognar | Prisoner | Male | M: Eudora ; Orion ; Jarek ; Crag ; Malakai He sied as the male wolf said these things. "Y'know," He said while heaving himself to his legs. "Flirting with prisoners isn't the best way to get a mate." He flicked his tail and made his way back out into the sunlight. "You know," He called back, "I wouldn't mind if you were to make Sol do something useful." He turned his head around and looked at the two wolves in front of him. "Hey, Malakai." He said, sitting down next to the Omega. He looked over at the quivering Crag and snarled at him. "Get lost!" When Crag slunk back into the bushes, he looked back at Malakai. "Now," He said. "What is it you wanted? Something about Eudora wanting us? What's this about?" He said. He looked at the Beorn in front of him with a look that almost said, "Get lost, or I'll rip your throat out." He looked back at Malakai and then started to groom himself when the male wolf began talking. Edited at June 12, 2024 06:27 PM by Bison Peak

Haoniyao Apprentice | 1.5 Years Old | Mentions: Aatya A young female stalked through the forest, her mind was turbulent and her thoughts swirling. She was indifferent to the ceremony, however the politics were beginning to bother her. We're males so against females in power? Why else would so many males have such a negative response to Alrai. It was disgusting and quite frankly offensive to the young juvenile herself, after all she aspires to be a Beorn, and currently there was no female Beorn, as it was male dominated. And she gave a slight huff of annoyance at that thought. She stalked through the forest, a spring in her step, propelling her gracefully through the undergrowth. She swivels her ears, hoping to catch the sound of something interesting. She could only hear the sounds of the throngs of spring insects , the croaks of frogs, and skitters of rodents scurrying along the forest floor. And then she could hear it, the slight movement of a bush, and she paused her step. There was another sound from the bush and she slunk low to the ground, barely audible as she moved to the source of the sound. She could smell the scent of prey nearby - it was young and fresh from the markings she saw, a young fawn. And it seemed to be all alone. The female gave a malicious chucking. Perfect, for a yearling wanting to prove herself. She soon caught sight of the young and naive creature - taking a drink from the stream. Not even bothering to take breaks to observe its surroundings. A much experienced doe or buck would've been watching with caution after each sip, and possibly would've even sensed her presence. The female skunk closer to her target, careful not to make any indication of her approach - and looking down, she nearly stepped on a branch and moving around it, she settled in a spot as she saw the fawn looking in her general direction. She lay down and kept still, willing herself to not move . She had gotten this far into the hint that she wasn't about to screw it up, and that's when she felt something wet and disgusting upon her head. It took restraint for her to not scream out in disgust, a frog had decided to make a perch of her head. And if she moved to shake it then her position would be compromised. So, she took a deep breath and ignored the distraction. After a few agonizing minutes, the grotesque creature decided to move along and dislodge itself from her head. And so she now focused on achieving this kill. It wasn't just some frail young fawn, it was rather mature as she cooks see the beginnings of its points coming in - it wasn't a proper buck, but it still had a rather strong and muscular build. The young female steeled herself as she prepared to launch an assault, this was rather healthy specimen and not some sickly or elderly creature which meant she needed to be careful along with being quick and precise. And so, with all her strength she charged, and nearly bit the leg she was aiming for, but the young fawn was quicker than she anticipated and she narrowly missed it. The chase was on She bolted after her prey, and the splash of water on her face as she raced over the creek was exhilarating . And she raced through the forest with precision, she didn't care how hard this was going to be, the thrill of the chase was too much to deny. She then saw her chance when the fawn missed a jump over a thick log, causing it to stumble - and she quickly picked up her speed and used it as an opportunity to pounce on the fawn, and she did so a her weight causing it to stumble even more, and then sinking her teeth into the soft flesh she bit just underneath the neck of the fawn. She then adjusted herself until she bit the throat of it and she could feel the warm sensation of blood and its taste flooding her senses as she clamped down harder as it began thrashing underneath her. And so she used her strength to prevent it from moving or getting away from her. And soon, after a hard couple minutes, she had successfully killed the fawn. And she released her lock, and took a heavy breath. Her muzzle was stained with blood and she was exhausted from this little hunt. Now she just had to figure out how to get it back to the pack. Fortunately for her, her little chase had led her near the beach, and exiting the brush she could see her mentor adorning for beach with roses. "Miss Aatya. I made a kill ! " she said walking over to the female, her muzzle and paws blooded. "I need a little help getting it back to the camp." She said a bit meekly.

Moth | Female | Shakira | Mentions: open Moth dozed in the early morning sunlight, sprawled out in a patch of sunlight. She heard the noises of the pack awakening, rustling and murmering voices finding their way to her ears. Birdsong and the chattering of small animals accompanied it. Moth lifted her head drowsily, gazing around. She was feeling exceptionally lazy this morning, content to go back to bed if she would have the chance. She knew that wasn't going to happen. She laid her head down on her paws and sighed, hoping for a few more moments of rest before the days work began. (Super short but I suck at starters) Edited at June 13, 2024 05:31 PM by _Moonshadow_

Sol | Male | Akashi | M: Nikolai ; Eudora He kept padding until he reached the end of the trail. Be beckoned Eudora and Nikolai to sit down in front of him. "Before the ceremony," He began, "We must hunt. I would like a bull elk taken down, but if not, a spike." He barked. "Eudora," He nodded at the she-wolf, "I'm going to pick out an elk, then I want you and Nikolai to separate it from the herd. After that, we will all corner it and kill it. Then, I will drag it back to camp. And after, you both can have some after Alari has eaten." He said. "Any questions?" Edited at June 13, 2024 07:39 PM by Bison Peak

Nikolai - M - Shakira - Mention(s): Sol, Eudora, Eclipse (indirectly Malakai)
Oh my god. This male couldn't get more stuffier. Never mind that hunting a herd of elk with only three wolves was quite the suicide mission, but now proceeded to order them around? Nikolai was seconds away from snapping. He wasn't the Alpha. Nor was he the Beta. Nor was he in any rank higher than the guy who finds prey. Nikolai struggled to keep his temper in check, and he wondered how Sol had even managed to achieve this position. Likely before he had been born, but still... this stuffed-up popinjay wanted to take down an elk using three wolves? It was possible, but Nikolai really didn't want to do it. It felt too risky. Three wolves to the bull elk? Nikolai struggled to keep the words shoved down his throat.
Case in point, he was hungry. He wanted to find his mate. He had been given two conflicting orders from the Beta and now the Akashi, and now the latter was ordering him around like he was the Alpha. At least he could use language that was more "we agree on this?" rather than "do what I say now!".
Nikolai didn't hate Sol per se, but he found his temper difficult to control at his attitude. To which now, he realised, he'd have to talk to. What he really wanted to do was claw Sol's face, but that was never a wise decision. "Taking down a bull elk? Only us three? Are you sure you don't want more on it?" Nikolai did not sign up for this. He really, really didn't. He wanted at least five wolves on this - and his doubt must have been evident on his face. He didn't want to do this.
Nikolai looked away from the stuffed-up popinjay before he could respond, and scanned camp quickly. Damn it. Where was Eclipse? Maybe she could talk some sense into this wolf. She was always better at words than he was.
But where was she? Nikolai hadn't seen her all day.
Nikolai's stubbornness chafed at him, telling him to go look around camp once again. Maybe he'd find her somewhere. But then he had to do this hunting expedition first. This hunting expedition, which was decidedly short of wolves. Nikolai deigned to wait for Sol's response before his temper burst. Maybe he'd get some sense out of that wolf this time. If not, he would - very decidedly - not be happy. Edited at June 13, 2024 11:14 PM by Boeing

Aatya of Druids "Wavering, the threads between treason and loyalty grow weak." - - - Aatya | Akashi | Female @: Mentions of Haoniyao, Nikolai, Sol - - - My, oh, my. Sol was such a rather stiff wolf, wasn't he? Intent on a hunt right before a ceremony? Good thing he didn't extend his graces toward Aatya, just the poor soul to was going to try and talk to her -- Nikolai. Aatya merely responded to his apologetic nod with a nod of her own, continuing to arrange the rose-petals all over the beach, pacing up and down for an even spread. It'd look beautiful by the time she was done -- a scene fit for an Alpha. As she did, she listened in on the conversation occuring between Sol and the hunters, fighting the urge to roll her eyes as the lesser-male tried to hunt an elk with three bodies. She might've offered to help another day, perhaps, or if Sol was any kinder to her. So, in that regard, Aatya tipped her head in that direction, swiveling her ears for Nikolai's defense. "Aye, don't you think the Alpha might enjoy a celebratory elk-hunt after the celebration? Surely, you won't rob her of the chance, Sol? Or are you suggesting she's in no position of power to even consider, hm?" Ah, a classic move of manipulation. To coax the other into saying something they don't mean -- Aatya held a mask of true seriousness, her eyes honing in on Sol as if her were some sort of puzzle to unwind. They flickered to Nikolai, briefly, before movement caught her eye and her nose picked up on the scent of none other than her own apprentice. Aatya went ahead and disregarded the situation at hand as the young wolf bounded up to her -- holding what appeared to be fawn between her bloodied jaws. Aatya cringed at the sight of the mess, but pride did swell in her chest at the sight. As well as an opportunity. "My, look at you, little one," Aatya said, giving Sol a look whilst addressing Haoniyao, "it appears you might be our prey-seeker one day. How impressive." Stiffling a chuckle, Aatya shook her head and looked back toward Haoniyao. Her wolf-like smile spreading as she padded over to help her apprentice with the kill. she took the fawn's neck in her jaws, hoisting her head up high with her taller frame. She nodded toward the kill pile, and would begin to move it that direction. Upon some awkward shuffling and some strained neck muscles, the deer would be placed within the kill pile. She'd turn her head back toward Hao. "Come, little-one, let us get you cleaned up," she said, padding straight back toward the beach and nodding Haoniyao along, "you can help me decorate." Sol | Male | Akashi | M: Eudora ; Nikolai ; Moth ; Alari ; Aatya ; Eclipse He huffed at Aatya, "She told me to go on a hunt!" he shouted. He then looked at Malakai and nodded at him. You're right. We need two or three more wolves. We should look around the camp." He had noticed a slight impatience in Nikolai's face just a moment ago. "Ok, you're right," he said, "I have been a bit moody today. I just wanna make this perfect." He looked at his paws. "For Alari," He mumbled. He looked back up at the two shakiras and nodded his head. "I really am sorry. But don't be afraid to tell me otherwise in the future, ok?" He said. "If possible, I'd like Moth and Eclipse, but if you can't find them, then I guess we could take Aatya." He padded to camp with a slight guilt at the way he treated the two shakers. He shook it away in an instant. This is for Alari. He reminded himself. And besides, I am the lead hunter. He found just the den he was looking for. "Moth!" He called into the den, "Are you awake? I need you on a hunting patrol. Could you meet us at the start of the trail to the forest? Thanks." He said. He then walked away from the den and started to look for Eclipse. She's always disappearing, that she-wolf. He sied. Maybe Nikolai will find her.

Valdís Shakira | Four Years Old | Female | Mentions: The Pack (ind) , Alrai The autumn colored female lay in her den - away from the rest of the pack, watching all the drama occur. She thought the lot of them were pure fools - they so callously ignore an important and rather momentous occasion within pack history. The election of a female Alpha, not a male - a female, and with the approval of her father no less. If they couldn't wrap their tiny brains about a female being in charge then they were truly short-sighted individuals. Hell, there were too many male dominated portions within the pack it disgusted her - and then the way they used their power against those below them as well. Only the newly appointed Beta had her respect as an authority figure, and she was quite sure he would do everything in his power to serve as a good right hand man to the new leader. She knew Alrai was in good paws when it came to having someone beside her - and even if the female couldn't see it, most could see how the Beta showed his adoration for her if not through his words (unintentionally ) but through his actions. Like she watched as he sauntered back into camp with purple lilies. Her favorites, the young female giggled to herself, he wasn't rather subtle about his displeasure with Sol hovering over Alrai's den like some creep - and if he hadn't said anything then she would. She watched the younger male get angry in amusement, such a short temper - she thought with an inward cackle. And the way he stormed off like a scolded child was rather priceless as well. This entertainment was golden. However that didn't stop her from snickering as Alrai ripped the male and lazing pack members a new one. And she gave a teasing wolffish grin at hearing Alrai say red would look good on her Beta. Oh has the two finally moved on to flirting? she thought amused. And she innocently looked at the female as she approached and asked for help to get ready for the ceremony. The female felt her heart explode with warmth and pride that she had been chosen - out of all the females within the pack to help her Alpha look her best on her special day. She quickly a scrambled out of her den in excitement and shook off her fur, and she looked around and spotted a pinecone which she grabbed within her jaws and a slight swish of her tail gave away her excitement. "Of course, my dear Alpha," she crooned in a sweet voice, slightly teasing but the sincerity was there, and then she grew mischievous . She glanced around and saw the Beta had left and she nudges Alrai slightly saying, " Oh, and I think red would look great in your white fur, Sik. " she said in a sweet voice, mimicking Alrai ass she put a spring in her step and waltz around the female letting her tail drag under the dame's nose in a sultry and teasing manner before letting out a quiet giggle and settling besides her. " Have you finally decided to make a move on him?" She inquired, " you should, he's a rather in demand specimen on the market. I mean whew would you find another tall, handsome, strong and respectful male like that these days? Not to mention he's known you your whole life and been there by your side - so he truly gets you unlike some who think they know the real you. " she spoke earnestly and a soft expression on her face, " I know you might not be ready just yet and I can tell he wants you to be ready and such, but I can see the way he looks at you - it's no secret - he loves you. " and she gave a dramatic sigh saying, " but you better hurry up, a good one like him isn't gonna stay single for long, and I know there are some who have their eyes on him . Not to mention I can imagine you're going to be pestered for your plans for courtship soon, and he's rather perfect for you. And not to mention he's totally soft for you. " she said and she said, " he gave you your favorite flowers, which I am decorating your fur with, and possibly going to make some purple dye with as well. Do you want to do feathers. What other decorations do you want my dear?" She knew she was chattering a bit more than usual but she just wanted to see her friend happy. And then she gave a small gasp as she remembered something she wanted to say. "Also, so help me, my Alpha" she said with respect and earnest, "if I may speak loosely, if you don't give Sol a stern talking to about boundaries and being respectful of his subordinates not matter how upset he might be - I will do it myself, hell I might fight him for his damned position just to bruise his fragile little ego, and not to mention disrespecting your Beta, he has much more self control than I to accept such words from a male younger than him." She said with seriousness, and a bit of distaste, " he probably means the but his little temper tantrums are doing no one any good." Edited at June 14, 2024 07:44 PM by Spellbound

Sol | Akashi | Male | M: Valdis ; Alari ; Aatya ; Sik ; Cognar ; Eudora ; Malakai When Sol was padding around camp, he heard the subtle laughter of Valdis in the distance. "Red would look good in your fur, Sik," He heard her say. "Have you finally decided to make a move on him? Sol is such a bad-tempered wolf..." He stepped out of the bushes with a hurt expression on his face. He nodded at Valdis. "Valdis," He said. He sat down with his tail twitching in a small, awkward motion. "You're right." He sied. "I haven't treated them so well, and I know this isn't an excuse, but..." He sied. Then stole a quick glance at Alari. "With the ceremony and things..." He stopped, not wanting to reveal too much. "I guess I got too carried away." He sied. He then looked at Alari with a hurt expression. "At least I know where I stand." He mumbled, but loud enough to be heard. He turned away and ran down to the trail, passing Malakai and Eudora. He came to the lake where Aatya was decorating. "Aatya..." He said. "Please... Help me." A small tear came down his muzzle. He sat down and gazed at the sky. "Why couldn't I see it?" He mumbled to himself. "No one loves me. My parents never said they loved me. Cognar never said he loved me." He gulped. "And now Alari..." He glanced at the she-wolf. "Aatya, please. You gotta help me..." He said. "I'll do whatever you want for a moon (month). PLEASE!" Edited at June 14, 2024 09:21 PM by Bison Peak
