Adanne Mater

Adanne, if she were in any other situation, would've squatted and marked the territory right then and there. Hell, she might've done it on him. But alas, that was informal -- as funny as it'd be, in her mind. And now, with that thought out of her head, she couldn't help but be mildly offended by his words. Seriously? Needy? Adanne wouldn't take that, and took a step forward with her ears pinning back, a snarl echoing from her maw that began to grow genuinely serious.

"You talk a lot of talk for a wolf alone, one against two," she said, but reeled her head back and shook it, "if it's the Alpha you want, it's the Alpha you'll get. Shall we bring him forth, Husk? Need one of us howl? Because I'm starting to think that this freak might make a good chew-toy for him. He's awefully tense right now, after all!"

Yeah, okay. Adanne was getting a little fiesty. It happened from time to time, especially with how tired and hungry she was -- still annoyed with Dove for howling and startling her prey earlier -- but could anyone blame her? This male was being positively rude! And this was their territory, after all. She didn't want to start a border skirmish already but if it needed be, it needed be. Besides, she had Husk with her. It was two against one, as she said, and her odds were far better!

She flicked her ears as Hanne ate, relaxing. She felt like she should keep talking, but was just... not sure what to start with. I mean, you couldn't start a conversation with, "I could kill you right now and you wouldn't even know until you were already dead." She was trying to make friends, not violently threaten sweet nice brown wolves. Biting her lip, she swished her tail absentmindedly, wondering if she should just abandon this conversation entirely and go hunt more. Hunting was one of the only things that she was good at, and she wished that other wolves would be like her and want to be hunting or fighting or running or... pretty much anything except for trying to talk to other wolves when you're just a very awkward slightly murderous wolf. She hoped that she'd made a good first impression with Hanne. She got the feeling that first impressions were pretty important to the tawny she-wolf.

(Hanne - Mention(s) - Revenge)
(The double bass has moved away. I can think now.)

As if sensing Revenge's discomfort, Hanne discreetly finished up one last piece of deer, secretly hoping she could have gottten more, but hiding it well.
Standing up, she could still see Revenge awkwardly hopping around near her, and instantly felt slightly guilty. She didn't mean for Revenge to awkwardly stand nearby. Idly wondering why Revenge didn't take a bite out of her own meat, but pushing it aside, she licked her slightly bloody muzzle and looked to Revenge once more.
Hanne missed nothing of the wolf's pose. Taut, itching to go out and do something... maybe she wanted to go hunt more. Or do something more productive. That was reasonable after all - she had come back with the meat relatively quickly.
The grey wolf still stood there. Hanne quickly made up her mind that she liked this fighter. She seemed one who would be able to stand up for herself in anything.
Looking around, she could see that barely any of the others had returned from any of their ventures.
"Should we go looking for the others...?" Hanne said, quickly glancing around the otherwise empty area. "Or... do you want to go and hunt some more things for the others?" Hanne knew that the fighter she-wolf probably still did, and... hey. Why not. The others could manage themselves. Hanne may not have been a fighting match for the big she-wolf, but she knew she could still pack a pretty decent punch. Maybe not nearly as big as the other wolf, but still decent enough.

Her amber eyes gleamed happily. This wolf was good at reading her, and she liked that. Normally, she would have been suspicious of another wolf being able to read her so well, but this one... she trusted Hanne, for some absurd reason that even she didn't know. She stood, dust falling out of her soft speckled silver pelt. "I hope you enjoyed the deer. I will go hunting again, if you wish to accompany me? I'd like a parter, we would be able to take down a bit larger of prey." She stretched, showing her fangs in a vaguely threatening smile as she felt her muscles slide under her pelt. She had been training for a few months now, and with spring just having come she was getting nice and strong again. It was annoying though when her pelt got hot, but that was normal for thick fur like hers. She easily sprang onto a large boulder nearby, and waited impatiently for Hanne, her tail lashing with wild excitement. She smelled deer nearby, but even more excitingly she smelled elk. Usually, she'd seen three or more wolves needed to take on an elk, but with her and Hanne she thought she supposed that they could take a small one down.

Hanne's blood began pumping. Now this was what exceitement was all about. The rush of adrenalin as they took down a prey animal. The quiet stalking.
Hanne sensed that this was what Revenge was after. Something that would sharpen her claws, and provide some needed meat for the pack.
A determined look in her eyes, Hanne dashed off in the direction that Revenge indicated.
She'd show her, all right! Maybe she wouldn't be as good as her, but Hanne still thought that she could put up one hell of a show.
(I've... completely run out of time. Sorry. I need to go now or else the caretaker is going to come and scream at me.)

She smiled at Hanne's excitement, and followed, her mood and demeanor changing into that of a hunter. She slunk through the woods with predatory grace, her light amber eyes sharpening and dancing over the land around her. After a bit, she paused, one perfect paw floating in the air, and flicked her tail as a signal for Hanne to come to her. "The elk is nearby. From the scent, it's probably a bull with its mate. We should go for the female, but bulls can be very dangerous. We should probably get help, but howling would alert the elk to our presence. I will distract the bull, while you can try to get the female, okay?" As she waited for the golden she-wolf to respond, she lifted her head, looking around carefully with her body fully tensed and ready. She was honestly kind of scared, one shot from a full grown bull elk could easily kill a wolf, even a big one like her. She definitely didn't want to die, especially since she'd just joined a pack. She had already almost died once... she shook the thought away. She didn't need to get stuck in that mound of trauma again. Not now, not ever. No, no, no. Nope. She nibbled on a claw, just trying to keep her mind off of her last pack experience. This pack wasn't like that. She would be fine.

Husk gave a harsh snort. This wolf was nothing more than a joke. Husk managed to keep himself controlled and contained, but if only barely. "He's no better than a coyote, thinking himself so clever and coy. He's not worth a second of the alpha's time." He stated to Adanne, dismissing the idea to call the alpha. "As she said..." he said, directing his words to the white male now. "You heard the howl, there is no excuses. Pack rank is more than enough to authorize us to run you off."

Xivu gave a nod to the alpha's question. "It is the easiest for a wolf like me to catch." She said. The female didn't have the mass the large male had to take down bigger prey, and she didn't have to waste excessive energy chasing down rabbits. It was made harder in winter, but the rest of the time she ate well. Nose twitching then, she tilted her head to glance over to a strange wolf that seemed to be gathering weeds. "It seems your needed elsewhere, alpha." She said to Dove

Lonesome Dove

(Mentions: Xivu & Naomi)

Dove listened to Xivu, his ears perked in her direction. The grey brute had always liked to listen, to feel things out and learn. It was easier with a single one on one converstaion, but he would grow to learn how to enable that aspect of himself with a group setting. It was all about taking his time and learning everything that he could, but for now it would end up just taking one day at a time and growing with his small pack. He hoped it would grow in numbers in time, but for now? He was certainly okay with the smaller pack.

Flicking his ears, Dove turned to face the new wolf in which Xivu had mentioned. His soft eyes latched onto the female picking vegitation from the ground and other sorts of objects. It was interesting, but the beast moved slowly forward, kind of hoping that Xivu would stay close to him so that he was not entirely alone facing a new wolf. "Greetings miss." Was what came out of his mouth first, his tail gently swaying at the tip to show that he meant no harm or anything mean by his movements.

Dipping his head once he was closer, the grey alpha held a faint smile upon his lips. "My name is Lonesome Dove and welcome to my pack territory." To start things off, he knew it would be easier to be kind at this moment. Something in his gut told him that this female was softer than the others he had come across so far, her herb gathering being the main culprit. He was curious about her for sure, but at the moment he hid most of that internal feeling. "May I get your name?"

Last Man Standing

(Mentions: Adanne & Husk)

Ding just wanted to roll his eyes farther back into his head, but there was no real way to roll them that hard. Instead, his pink eyes flickered over both of them before a chuckle flooded his muzzle and into the open air. "You guys might be 'pack', but its barely hours old. Whats the point in trying to be all macho on your own when you don't really know what the alpha could want from you?" Pack wolves, in general, were stupid to Ding. He hated their need to be structured and to flounce at the alpha as if he was a prime steak freshly cooked and marinated. He hated it all, especially the females that thought they could be the alphas mate by batting their eyelashes and showing him their "ankles".

Snorting, Ding shrugged his shoulders. "You might wanna either get the alpha or get off my case. Until I am forcefully removed, my albino ass aint going anywhere." With that said, the defected wolf plopped himself right on the grass and lifted a bloody paw to begin grooming it. Raising a brow at the duo, he sat there paitently with his tail flicking against the ground like a lazy cat without a care.

Adanne Mater

(Mentions: Husk & Ding)

As much as Adanne wanted to retaliate, this wolf had a point. She didn't know of Dove's intentions. But... wasn't sticking together as a unit preferable to a world of wartorn lone wolves? An end to lonely isolation? Adanne, as stated earlier, was the type to be rather curious. And curious was barely scratching the surface. She was a philosophical hinker in times she was left to her own devices -- she'd oft' meditate in her moments of peace. That being said, this wolf was disturbing that peace. She nodded to back up Husk, thankful he was being vocal in his alleigance. But the white male's words rang through her head.

"I see what's going on here," she sneered, tilting her nose up as she glared down at him. She rose one paw, then planted it firmly in the dirt, "you're just jealous because nobody would take you, looking like that."

A sentiment that Adanne knew all too well. With a freakishly unnatural pelt of her own, she understood that struggle. But with this wolf before her, he was not only sporing a defect, but also had the pink eyes of a monster. Adanne shook her head. She looked toward Husk for a moment, then back toward the white male.

"Acting this way is not going to make it any different for you, albino," they were words spoken with a harsh bite, but with a ring of truth -- as if Adanne had been there before. But, regardless, she planted her paws firmly in the ground, and began to bear her fangs as her ears pinned back against her head. "I will forcibly remove you, but I'll give you two options: follow Husk and I to the Alpha, or leave."

Naomi | M: Dove, Xivu

The wolf spends her time sorting and splicing the leaves to see the health span of each leaf and the source of strengths it contained. She heard movement behind her and a voice that interrupted the train of thought. Her fur startled to prick with uneasiness of the two strangers that had their attention on her. The alpha was addressing her and she had no idea how to respond. Her choices of staying mute or speaking to the alpha. Her thoughts of Baelin came to her mind. Baelin needs this.. I can not ruin his chances of being a part of a pack.. She shook the uneasiness out of pelt and took a deep breath to calm her nerves down. Her light blue eyes lifted up to the alpha male with a quizzical look on her expression.

“Naomi’s Wish, though I prefer to go by Naomi..” Her tone of voice was graceful and soft that did not seem she was frightened of the alpha. Though she was great at masking her true thoughts and emotions that would deceive many others.

Naomi casted a look at the female that was a few strides behind him. Her head dipped as a greeting to the female. Naomi took a mental note that she most likely will be the smallest out of the pack. But it has never held her back in anything, but fighting when she is outnumbered. Though it will never come down to that because she does not belong in the fighting realm of wolves.

She addressed calmly “My apologies for interrupting your conversation with your packmate, love. And also intruding onto your land. Though my companion Baelin was interested in joining your pack and was looking for you, it looks like I found you first. Or you found me first..”

Her eyes looking at him and the female quizzically trying to seek any wavering emotion of a threat to her. Naomi’s wish has never looked for a fight for her to engage in, but she knew how to do it. Quite well, as her pelt was the definition of a battle scorned wolf. She has scars on both sides of her cheeks with 4 lines on each side that were too symmetrical to be a claw mark. Naomi watched waiting for his answer patiently while flicking her light gray tail at her side in the process.
