Enzo has very much always had a knack for integrating himself into the Neophytes as a whole. He’s fairly talkative, likes to ask people how their days are going so no one feels forgotten or less valued, and he enjoys establishing positive relationships with people. Despite this extroverted nature of his though, he is reserved in some aspects of himself, and Enzo does value solitude. Ever since Ruina though, it’s her he prefers to spend most of his alone time with. And it’s his more affectionate side that’s well reserved, and it’s only Ruina that gets the full dose of the warmer affections he has to offer. She helped balance him, which he didn’t even know he needed until he had Ruina. Enzo became even more comfortable in his skin because of her, which has allowed him to fully embrace the person he is now to the fullest extent.

Ruina’s always been better at concealing certain things, and while Enzo’s great at hiding his own feelings from others, he doesn't have the strength to hide the fears that envelop him from time to time with Ruina. He hated being open about the things that threatened to keep him up all night, or the things that plagued his dreams, or even the visions that cross his mind. And yet, he only felt safe to wear that side of himself around Ruina, but he was always so guilty for doing so. He never wanted his own struggling hopes and fears to impact her, but everyone has their moments. And when he formed the impression that she was struggling in her own ways, he tried his damn best just to be there for her. Sometimes there was nothing he could say to make things better, no words of his right now cured their problems, but he’s always there for her.

If life had dealt a gentler hand to Savero, he wouldn’t be so abrasive with the Neophyte. His initial response would have been rooted more in empathy to these people, and he would have been so much more open. However, between him and the Neophyte, it did seem they drew the short end of the stick. They’ve been suffering for generations, from their first breath to their last, and they knew this. But Savero never did acknowledge the things that had impacted him so heavily. Even before he truly came undone, he knew there were times where he picked up on someone taking advantage of his kindness. Of his trust, and will to please. All to be accepted. But he let them, because Savero just wanted to be accepted, he wanted to prove he was worth loving. Which was something he never quite received as the youngest in his family. It was lonely, but he learned doing what people wanted and heeding to every command earned their attention, even for just a few minutes. He wasn’t brave enough to stand for himself, because he was so terrified of losing what acceptance he did have. And now, he wants to be seen just the same, just not as who he had been.

Starving was a mutual thing Enzo didn’t enjoy seeing Ruina do, just as he knew she didn’t like seeing him do it to himself either. The Chaplain certainly knew how to logistically ration himself though, so as to not compromise his health into a poorer state. If he became malnourished and ill, that would just be an unnecessary use of resources to restore his health, which helped nobody in the end. So, there was a method to the madness per say. He did assume the fact that he had broken down how to starve himself effectively was a bad thing, but anything for love, right? He loved Ruina and the Neophyte as a whole enough to practice such a thing.

“I'm only talking about a physical hell." Savero’s eyes only briefly darted down to his hands before they returned to Maebel. He wouldn’t comment much on physical hells. His own had come and gone, but it left its impact. A lifelong one. There are some things now that Savero would never be able to do, or enjoy again because of those moments in his physical hell. Crowds… maybe that’s why he had been so furious inside as the Neophyte had gathered to spectate him. The same way people had gathered to stand, stare, and watch an execution while he was rendered helpless. There weren’t many Neophytes though, and as horrible as it was to say it, but for that he was thankful. The more bodies, the more overwhelmed he would have become.

"Beliefs fade, Savero. I highly doubt many of the Neophyte will see it the way you do." Savero shook his head in disagreement. “Beliefs don’t fade, people’s willingness to hold onto them do.” That’s what he believed, anyway. “I don’t plan on trying to preach my beliefs to all of the Neophyte anyway, so a lack of reciprocation is fine by me.” He wasn’t sure why his tone had taken an angrier turn, or why he had felt defensive in that moment, but he did. What’s worse was that a part of him did want to preach, or force his views onto people so they would just understand and see things the way he did. But that would be his way of forcing others to accept him. Isn’t that what his parents did? Did awful things to drive people’s forced acceptance of their ruling? Savero never wanted to be anything like his parents, he wanted to be better. But bettering himself from what he is now just seemed so out of reach, and he was too tired to reach out to grasp the mold that would make him a better man.

"Your fine. No one will come in. They always knock." Savero had only hesitantly moved his gaze to Maebel, deciding whether it was safe to take her word, and ultimately he decided that for now that the likelihood of anything bad happening to him was low. When his gaze did swing to Maebel from the door, she was already seated. Slowly he allowed his arms to loosely cross over his chest, more as to feel he was protecting himself. For some time he simply, and silently, watched Maebel. As the moments passed, he came to the conclusion that he could at least trust Maebel to the extent to know she wouldn’t do anything to him if he did fall asleep. And it was only that thin thread of trust that allowed his heavy eyelids to close. Savero didn’t know what kind of subconscious hell he’s been delaying in the realm of dreams, but he did know that for the meantime he was physically safe. Safe enough to ride out what lurked in the deepest recesses of his mind as he felt himself completely slip into what would only be a brief, dark void.

Enzo had a different definition of home. Home was where happiness and love reigned over a designated space, so to the Chaplain, ‘home’ was something he found when he was with Ruina, or surrounded by the others closer to him. He loved all of the Neophytes, but home was something that felt so much more sacred to him. It was not something physical, that would be a house. Among his people, Enzo found community, and in love he found a home. For Ikaris, he didn’t really have a philosophical or deep meaning depiction of what home was to him. The word ‘home’ is probably one he’s never even said out loud. It’s a place that’s everywhere and nowhere at the same time, because one solid thing or place to call home was too… stable. And that was too constricting for Ikaris.

It was of no surprise to Enzo that Ikaris tailed Thaola. Often if Enzo wasn’t available to keep Ikaris company, he pined after Thaola. Did Ikaris ever say a thing about how he felt towards her? No, but that didn’t surprise Enzo either. The day Ikaris does openly talk about feelings is the day Enzo requests he get a wellness check. It was really obvious to the Chaplain though how much steadier in moods Ikaris became when he was in her company, versus flying between a million emotions so violently. So Thaola had that effect on Ikaris, the kind of effect that allowed the Archbishop to feel more in control of himself. And the last thing Ikaris wanted was to flip through moods so crazily that one of his outbursts ended up being wrongfully aimed at Thaola.

"If Savero comes from Ioana, he must have some information. We need it, especially if it will help us move against the Monarchy. Yet, the only way we are sure to get it, is if he bonds with someone. I don't want to manipulate Savero. I don't want to have someone try and get close to him solely for the information.” Enzo released a small sigh, but he understood that. Even though he’s not above personally using means of manipulation for the greater good, he wouldn’t do such a thing in a case like this. Yet. But if Savero even suspects he’s being manipulated for anyone else’s gain, then there would be no repairing or salvaging his trust. "I don't want to push either, because no doubt it will simply push him away." Enzo nodded in agreement as he began walking to keep at pace with Ruina. “And yet, I do not know if we can wait much longer." The Neophyte have waited for so long already, and even Enzo could see some possibilities where… well, time may not be on their side for much longer. If it ever was on their side to begin with.

His eyes flicked up to the sky briefly, but he did not expect to find answers from above. So instead he moved his gaze back to Ruina. “I know there’s some information Savero has, but the extent and specifics I do not know. As much as I’d like to think an organic bond will be forged between him and at least one other Neophyte, waiting for that to happen may take up a portion of time we can’t afford to lose.” Enzo furrowed his brows in momentary thought as he looked to the ground before he spoke again. “Using the wrong kind of manipulation as a means to get the information though would be a dangerous course of action. No one who finds out they’ve been used as a tool reacts well.” Enzo said, looking back up to Ruina.

“We can be patient, to a point. And in that grace period we can hope for information to be coaxed out of Savero in a way that’s on his own terms.” Enzo added, insinuating with his tone though that after a designated time, they should open themselves to the idea of subtle pushing or unseen manipulations. Not in a cruel sense, but manipulation done correctly hurts no one. And the Neophyte were the ones short on everything right now. Time, resources, numbers… everything. And that wasn’t bettering by the day, it was worsening.

Ikaris came to a stop beside Thaola, but he mildly rocked on his heels to substitute movement as his eyes boredly traveled over the crops. He never really did raise opposition or express concern or disappointment when Ruina and Enzo would give away their own portions. Not that he didn't care, but there was no point in saying anything to him. They're going to do what they're going to do anyway, who was he to say anything about it? "If we had more pollinators… among other things, they'd stay healthier longer. From what I've heard anyway." He vocalized with a shrug. It's usually insects that help ensure some of the crops are getting properly pollinated, and even maintain the soil to the best of their ability in the outskirts. The Archbishops can usually gain insight from many things thanks in part to the creatures of the land that were willing to cooperate, Ikaris knew that well.

As someone who had trained herself to know how to conceal feelings and emotions, it had never been too overly hard for her. Of course, there were some moments when the emotions became so overwhelming, she just could not physically conceal it. Which she hated, because she preferred to keep up a wall and not allow anyone to see how she really felt. Specifically the other Neophyte, because if they saw their Templar losing her mind, what would they think? She was more willing to allow the wall to fall when she was with Ikaris, Enzo, Thaola, and Tarron because they were her close friends and she trusted them dearly. But even then, she'd always been the kind to keep it together and stay calm. The only time she ever truly broke down was at night.

She knew that she wasn't the only one struggling, hence the reason she never ever tried to make any kind of deal about her own struggles. She knew that Enzo had his own struggles and did her best to be there for him when he needed her, and even when he didn't. She knew Tarron and Thaola had their issues as well and she was there for them too. She did her best to be there for Ikaris too, but he was kind of confusing to Ruina. And even if Enzo couldn't always cheer her up, she just enjoyed his company. His company alone made things better, a lot better. It made the emotions easier to deal with and the breakdowns easier to control and calm down.

Whatever had happened to Savero, Ruina understood it wasn't good. It was clear that his life hadn't been easy, and it probably wouldn't be for a while. Which Ruina understood, life as an exiled class was not easy, especially in the barren land of Zilstead. However, the way that Savero went about, was different then how the Neophyte did. Was that because he had experienced life different then they had? Perhaps even though he'd faced exile and a harsh childhood as well, something else had happened that made Savero act different then the Neophyte. Which made the Templar wonder, exactly what had happened to Saver? The same question that would continue to haunt Ruina until she either got an answer or she died. Would she ever find out? Would she ever gain that information? Would any of the Neophyte?

It did make Ruina feel better that Enzo didn't truly starve himself. He at least ate enough to not become malnourished and ill. Ruina tried, but sometimes found herself undereating, which she tried not to do often. Because it was not helping her health at all. She wasn't incredibly ill and tired and weak. But she definitely could be more energized and stronger. Not that she'd ever admit that to anyone, because then they'd demand she start eating more. Doing such a thing made Ruina even more desperate for some kind of solution. Zilstead to become more supplied with supplies that the Neophyte needed. Or for the Neophyte to finally be allowed to return to Ioana. Something, anything...

Physical hell was something everyone suffered, just as they all suffered from mental hells. Maebel knew of a few people's hells, after all, she kind of ended up as a therapist as well. Turns out when she treated people, they tend to spill stuff. She'd learned a lot about different Neophyte simply by tending to an injury. She knew everyone suffered in their own way, and a complete happy person was impossible. Especially in their world. There could never be complete and undying happiness, there was always some kind of downside. Some kind of depression, sadness, or hell. Thaola had issues with crowds and loud noises, Tarron had issues with authority figures, Riden had issues with abusive people, and Ruina had issues with abusive people, mainly males.

"Beliefs don't fade, people's willingness to hold onto them do." Maebel could agree to that, perhaps she had just worded her sentence wrong. "I don't plan on trying to preach my beliefs to all of the Neophyte anyway, so a lack of reciprocation is fine by me." Maebel nods,"Good, because I bet about half of them will not want to hear it anyway." Life in Zilstead had almost completely sucked out any kind of religious beliefs or acts. It was almost as if the gods never existed for the Neophyte. Which was honestly kind of sad. But it made sense since their patron goddess had completely disappeared. Which, no one knew why or how. Not even the gods. Which had no search parties been sent to find the All-Mother? The whole story was just confusing.

Now if Savero did start trying to preach or force his beliefs on the Neophyte, that probably wouldn't go very well. They didn't like things being forced upon them. They had been forced into exile, it hadn't been willing. And they had issues with Ioanaian's, mainly ones that were higher up. Sentinels, Government, and Monarchy. They had little issues with Working Class, and no issues with Slaves. They had issues mainly with higher Working Class, the kind who thought they deserved everything and practically worshiped the Monarchy. And for some reason, Savero seemed like one of those three classes. Maebel just couldn't figure out which class Savero belonged to. Obviously not Government or Monarchy. But there was a possibility of Savero being a Sentinel.

Maebel noted Savero's hesitation, and yet she says nothing more on it. Simply returning to her paperwork. If Savero was going to sleep, then he could. If he was too paranoid to, well that was his fault. Maebel had told him the truth, no one would come in, at least without knocking. And nothing would happen to Savero. The Templar had declared that Savero be left alone and not harmed, and that would be obeyed. So, if Savero wanted to lose sleep and stress. Well, Maebel wasn't going to waste her breath or energy on trying to convince Savero to get some rest. His injury would heal fine and while sleep would help, it wasn't required for the injury to completely heal. Maebel was also completely aware of his gaze on her, and she ignores it, staying focused on her work. Though she did take a moment to look up, and when she did, she found Savero asleep.

Home was something that could never be physical. Houses were not homes. Places were not home. It was the people who surrounded you. Ruina's home was Enzo, Thaola, Tarron, Ikaris and Riden. They were her people, her closest family and the people she loved most. The Neophyte were her family, yes, and she could consider them home. But she would narrow it down to Enzo, Thaola, Tarron, Ikaris, and Riden. She loved them with all her heart and would do just about anything for them. She felt at her safest and happiest when she was with them. For her? That is what home was. The people, not a place. Where you can be happy, comfortable, and not in fear of anything. And that is exactly how she felt with those five. Thaola, Tarron, and Riden shared the same idea. Mainly Riden though.

Thaola noticed that Ikaris basically tailed her, and she had no issues with that. She honestly liked it. As she was starting to like Ikaris more and more. Though she had been questioned on where their relationship stood, she could not give a straight forward answer. They weren't exactly just friends, but they weren't exactly dating either. They were somewhere in between. Tarron and Ruina, both, had noticed how much Thaola affected Ikaris. How Ikaris didn't flip through so many emotions so quickly, seemingly remaining with only a few. Thaola had noticed as well, but what she didn't notice is how happier she was around Ikaris. How she was always sort of drifting toward him anytime he was around. Ruina had pointed it out before, but Thaola had simply blushed and gave some kind of weak protest.

Ruina saw Enzo's eyes move upward briefly, but she met it when it moved to her. "I know there's some information Savero has, but the extent and specifics I do not know. As much as I'd like to think an organic bond will be forged between him and at least one other Neophyte, waiting for that to happen may take up a portion of time we can't afford to lose." Ruina agrees, nodding, her eyes filled with worry. "Using the wrong kind of manipulation as a means to get the information though would be a dangerous course of action. No one who finds out they've been used as a tool reacts well." Ruina agrees again, shaking her head. What were their options then? Wait? Could they wait? They would have to... Surely. Else they may lose their only chance.

"We can be patient, to a point. And in that grace period we can hope for information to be coaxed out of Savero in a way that's on his own terms." Ruina sighs, nodding. "I have this feeling that something big is about to happen. That the Rebellion will happen soon, that we'll finally get to return to Ioana. But... How can we with the information we have?" She looks at the sky,"I have this gut feeling that Savero is the key to the whole thing. That if we get his information, we can finally move against the Monarchy. That we can finally return our people to their rightful place." Ruina stops, turning to face Enzo. "But what if he never gives up that information? What if he never trusts us?" Was that one her greatest fears? Yes, one of her biggest fears was that the Neophyte would never return home. And everything she and every other Templar, and Neophyte of course, had ever worked for. Well, it'd be for nothing.

"If we had more pollinators.. among other things, they'd stay healthier longer. From what I've heard anyway." Thaola and Tarron exchange a glance. Tarron sighs,"If. Keyword, if. Zilstead is not kind to us." That was the issue, there wasn't enough resources in Zilstead to make growing and harvesting crops easy. But, at least so far the crops seemed really good. The more food they got, the better. Especially since Savero had come. Sure it was only one person, but they were already struggling to feed the people they had. Savero was one more mouth to feed, which meant less food for everyone else. The crop production would need to pick up soon.

There were so many various burdens to bear in Zilstead, and each rightfully took their toll. Enzo knows from both experience, endurement, and watching it affect those around him. Enzo would admit that he preferred to silence and conceal his struggles, his sways in hope, and ultimately shove them so far away that he was able to smile through most of his days. But at the same time, sometimes it helped to see others struggle as well. Such as Ruina, and though it’s hard to watch someone you love struggle, it also made him feel less alone in going through the same thing. Sometimes it's seeing people work through their struggles that ultimately empowers others. It worked that way for Enzo, at least.

The Chaplain knew everyone had various hard times and moments, and he did his best to support and be there when he could. From Ruina and Ikaris, to Tarron and Thaola. Sometimes Inara, she could be prickly though. And Enzo would extend such a kindness to Riden as well, albeit Enzo usually sees the Archbishop as someone who’s wiser, and perhaps has their feelings and notions in better order. But Enzo knew that didn’t mean he didn’t struggle either. As for Ikaris… he confused everybody. And while Ikaris isn’t quite the guy to go to whenever one may feel like venting, he may attempt to be supportive, in his own odd ways. Ikaris primarily gets by with humor, though. Sometimes it's darker, but if he can’t laugh at his pain and make light of how shitty life can be sometimes, then existing would be unbearably dull.

It usually never went unnoticed by Enzo that Ruina would eat less than the bare minimum he would personally recommend. It hurt to know, perhaps it hurt more to see, and worst of all it hurt Enzo to not scold her for it. He never wanted to scold or reprimand Ruina for eating less, because he knew why she was doing it. It hurt, but he wasn’t upset with her. He stayed thankful for everything she did eat though, but any less than what she was currently consuming and Enzo would make a point to have a gentle, but stern conversation with Ruina.

Savero would probably never understand why someone would spill their issues to a person tending to their ailments. Then again, he sees very little point in confiding in others anyway now. Personal information, and information in general, can be weaponized in Savero’s world. And the effects of information in the wrong hands is catastrophic. The Sentinel has issues a plenty, but ultimately, they’re all rooted in a series of repeated horrible experiences with people. These things, his trifling issues, why would he discuss them with other people? Not everyone found comfort in openly discussing their troubles. Ikaris was similar, in that he would bark if he felt a conversation was shifting towards getting heavily emotionally centered. Especially if it involved delving through his own. Overall, Ikaris had issues with attachment, abandonment, and commitment. Enzo had issues with paranoia and overthinking. Inara had issues with failure and workaholism. And Savero… he just has quite a few issues.

"Good, because I bet about half of them will not want to hear it anyway.” Savero only responded by briefly grinding his teeth in subtle agitation, but he said nothing. He knew it was wrong to find the appeal in forcing others to hear him, to understand him, and to bend to his will. It wasn’t fair that he’s seen his parents rule in a similar way for his whole life, and nothing unfortunate has fallen upon them. It’s not fair. It made his rage for them boil even more furiously. But he intended on being the thing that bites them back for what they’ve done.

Paradise. A small, heavenly plot of land situated in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a dense forest on all sides. A small waterfall, tapering down into a tranquil and crystal blue stream resided here. To the left, a long since forgotten, smaller shrine dedicated to the All Father. It’s been long since reclaimed by the land, with all that proudly stood of it being the entrance arch, and the small altar past it. It was a place forgotten by all in Ioana, all except two. Savero knew this place, whether it be luck or fate when he stumbled upon it as a boy, but it was his paradise. He felt content here, as his green eyes fondly moved over the waterfall and towards the shrine in ruins. He walked to it, as if there was an invisible tether stringing him along to the arch. A wave of nostalgia and sorrow washed over his features, a small frown downturning at his lips, and a crease in his forehead as he reminisced the things he had done here.

Savero stopped at the arch, placing his hand on the frame covered in moss. He didn’t dare look inside yet, instead looking back towards the water. Drowning in those waters seemed so much more peaceful than drowning in his agonies. Savero looked away. Hesitantly, his eyes moved forward towards the altar, which presented the memory of both Savero and a young brunette woman standing on the altar. One one knee was Savero, holding the hand of the woman who sheepishly blushed and giggled as her chocolate orbs warmly settled on him. “You’re no knight, Sav, what are you doing on your knee?” She asked, playing dumb, to which Savero genuinely smiled at. “I’m no knight, but I’d be honored to be your sole defender. To be the man to protect you with a sword in one hand, and presenting my heart to you with the other. My heart, my love, my life, I give it all to you, Violetta. I know I can be difficult, I know you deserve so much better than me. But I love you, and I’m on my knee to ask you to marry me. And if you say yes, my love, I swear I’ll stand at your side, forever and always. And I swear I’ll love you for all of eternity.”

The memory faded with Violetta saying yes and throwing her arms around Sav, and a darkness shadowed over the altar in front of his eyes to replace the memory that had just been there. Those words he had said that day still ring true. He loved her then, and he loves her now, even beyond the barrier of death. So many times he blinked back tears as he stood there, remembering every touch, every laugh, and smile they shared. Every night he fell asleep to the sound of her soft breaths, every fight that ended with him holding her and not letting go for hours, and every promise he pledged to her. He failed her in the end, didn’t he? Tipping his head up to further force his tears that threatened to trickle down just as silently as the water behind him, a few brighter rays of light began to pierce through the treetops. The entire altar became lit up by the warmer light of the sun, and upon its light engulfing the roofless shrine, a singular blue item stood tall. An iris. Savero further stepped into the shrine, his eyes locking onto the flower he has only ever seen in a few places. When he came within a foot of the iris, he crouched down to observe it. It was healthy and radiant, nearly glowing. Was this lone flower a sign? Hope and trust the blue iris symbolized, but what specifically did this flower wish to communicate with him? If it meant something, then what?

Ikaris never minded following Thaola, in fact, the view from behind was great. Smirk implied. And while he wasn’t exactly sure what they were, as nothing had been exactly confirmed or denied, he liked it. The flexibility is what he liked. And while he really didn’t feel any desire to gain the attention of another female right now, the fact that he felt like he wasn’t stuck is what he liked. But even with his own issues and fears, and he wouldn’t admit this to a damn soul, he never felt suffocated by Thaola. Ikaris had always assumed that’s what being in a relationship would feel like; being suffocated and smothered. But if anything, he felt enlivened with Thaola, like she was the breath of fresh air he’d always needed. And perhaps that’s another reason why his emotional flippancy was so mild when he was around her. Because she made him feel a form of content he’s never quite experienced before. Enzo noticed the differences between both Ikaris and Thaola when they were together. And Enzo will probably make it a point to tease Ikaris more about it, that was always fun for the Chaplain.

"I have this feeling that something big is about to happen. That the Rebellion will happen soon, that we'll finally get to return to Ioana. But... How can we with the information we have?" We can’t, Enzo wanted to say. Information will be the difference between life and death, and failure and success when it comes to the launch of the Rebellion. And without the necessary amount of information… the outlook grows grim. “I have this gut feeling that Savero is the key to the whole thing. That if we get his information, we can finally move against the Monarchy. That we can finally return our people to their rightful place." Enzo felt the same, nodding along to express his agreement. But he came to a stop as Ruina did, his eyes connecting to her gaze. "But what if he never gives up that information? What if he never trusts us?" Enzo sighed, softening his gaze before he delivered the truth not even he wanted to hear. “It’s a possibility.” He simply said, but he figured Ruina already knew what would happen with the Neophyte and the Rebellion if they never get the information they need.

And suddenly, behind Enzo’s eyes was a fork in a road. A vision. But this one was highly unusual, as there were only two concrete possibilities. Versus the many he’s used to seeing. As his gaze lowered and became semi-unfocused on the ground, his thoughts led him to see the blue flower that was planted in between the paths. To the left Enzo is where Enzo was able to glimpse down the path first, and in the flicker of visions was the flower, Savero with the flower, and in a flicker into another distant future, what Enzo knew to be the muffled sound of Savero sharing information, and the Rebellion moving forward graced his thoughts. And reeling back, Enzo was able to glimpse down the path on the right. Where the flower had only started to grow, but died… it dried up. Savero would steadily grow angry, and later would no longer reside in Zilstead, and then the possibilities for Savero’s future thin, which was never a great sign. But the Neophyte also suffer, and ultimately, the Neophyte as a class eventually comes to an end.

“It needs to rain,” Enzo suddenly vocalized, his eyes snapping up to meet Ruina. “It needs to rain within the next two days. I know it sounds a little crazy, but there is a plant somewhere in Zilstead, and if we let it die… everything we’re hoping for will never happen. All I know is that if we want information from Savero, that plant -wherever it is right now- needs to live.” There were probably many times when an Archseer sounded crazy for spewing the things they saw in visions, but this one was too important for Enzo, and he would not apologize for sounding like a mad man.

"If. Keyword, if. Zilstead is not kind to us." The look Ikaris threw to Tarron was one of a rarer unamusement. “Well aren’t you a radiant ball of sunshine.” Ikaris remarked sarcastically, turning his eyes back to the crops. What Tarron said was true, Ikaris wouldn’t deny that. Actually, Zilstead’s been semi-kind to Ikaris. His ivory porcelain skin? Still beautiful. The sun? Can’t touch this. “You know with that kind of attitude, Tarron, you’ll be stuck in the friend zone with your close friend forever.” Ikaris smirked, knowing Tarron knew exactly who he was referring to. It was then that Ikaris moved closer to Thaola to sling an arm over her shoulders as his smirk failed to break. “Agree or disagree, beautiful?” Ikaris asked Thaola as a mischievous gleam settled into his eyes. Hey, she was a woman, wouldn’t she know what’s generally considered attractive? Because obviously Thaola has good taste, she hangs around Ikaris after all.

There was always some kind of burdens to bear. There was no one that anyone had no burdens. Except maybe young children who hadn't experienced life yet. The ones who were kept innocent and young for a while. But even then, they no doubt had some kind of burden. Ruina didn't know, she didn't remember much of her childhood, just that it got better once Riden came into it. When he had basically adopted her and started raising her as his own. After her own parents had passed away. One from sickness and one from a skirmish.

Riden had always been one that held back how he felt. Especially once had had taken Ruina and her brothers under his wing. He had never wanted the young kids to see how burdened he was. He felt it was not right to allow kids to see such things. They were small, young, and innocent. And life would eventually get to them, let them have their innocent and young lives for a while. Riden would admit that Ruina's older brothers already had burdens of their own by the time that their parents died. Ayduin and Revalor were older than Ruina and knew more about life then their younger sister, who was still pretty young and innocent. Now days, the twins were seen running patrols and just helping around Zilstead. Ruina and the twins still talked, but it was as if there was some kind of barrier between them.

Thaola and Tarron were not always the best at being able to help people when it came to burdens and hells. But they tried, even though they weren't the best Neophyte to go to in terms of that. That would be Maebel, who was practically a therapist. Which, she didn't mind. It helped people get things off their chest and she knew that bottling things up was never a good thing. It could make someone snap, and out here? Breaking bonds of trust and loyalty was not something that needed to be done, ever. If one bond was to break, it could cause more to break. And the bonds that held the Neophyte together helped them work together efficiently enough to keep themselves alive.

Some people spilled their issues because they felt like they had no one else to talk to. Maebel just happened to have that kind of affect on people. The soothing, kind, and gentle affect that told people that she would listen and offer advice. So, that's exactly what people did. They talked to her, told her about their burdens, and then she tried her best to help. Sometimes she could, but most of the times she couldn't. But it did help when people got to get things off their chest. And, she never revealed anything that she was told. That would be breaking that person's trust, and she would never do that. People's burdens were not for others to know, and it was not her place to tell them. And the things that people told her? Those would be words and things that she would take to the grave. Because that was just the kind of person Maebel was. That is one of the things that made the Archseer such a damn good healer, among other things.

Maebel raises an eyebrow, did he so desperately want to force his beliefs onto the Neophyte? If so, he would not last long around here. They did not like being forced to do anything, much less being preached to about the gods who most believed had abandoned them in their greatest time of need. Maebel had heard the stories of Templar's who had been demoted again because they had allowed power to get to their heads, and they had begun to try and force the Neophyte to do things. Things that would only give gain to the Templar, and not to the Neophyte as a whole. That is why she was glad that Ruina was not like that, that the Archshaman was a good Templar.

Maebeal remains quiet as she works, moving through the paperwork quickly. When she had the perfect environment, and no disruptions, she had no issues working. That is when she was at her most efficient, is when the area was quiet. Not too hot, not too cold. She enjoyed the little infirmary, it was so peaceful and clean and hardly anyone was ever in there. Even when people were injured, Maebel tended to them quickly enough that the injuries healed quick and with very little issue. There had only been once or twice when Maebel had been unable to cure someone. And with the help of others, they had found a cure. The Archseer hadn't lost anyone under her care, yet. Well, at least to something she could control. Like sickness, or minor injuries. Major ones? Those were the kind that it was better to just end the pain quickly and painlessly.

There had only been one that Maebel had to do such a thing for. And that was Ruina's mother, Ashera. When the Archjusticar had returned from a skirmish, with quite a few major injuries. Ruina had just been appointed Templar, and already she was stressed. Maebel had been on the fence. She didn't want to tell the stressed Templar, but also felt that because it was her mother, that Ruina had the right to know. So, Maebel had turned to Revalor and Ayduin, and told them. In turn, the twins had fetched the Templar. Where they then gathered by their mother's deathbed and talked to her, until the pain was too much and Maebel had to end it quickly and painlessly. Those were the kind of moments that made Maebel hate being a healer. The moments when she couldn't heal, and she had to end a life. Regardless of the fact, that was what was best for the patient.

Suddenly as the Archseer was sitting there, a vision hit her. She went still, staring at the far wall as it hit her. She was wandering through Zilstead, clearly on the hunt for something. She was worried and stressed, muttering to herself,"There has to be a cure, there has to be!" Maebel watched herself stumble around some more, spotting the clear desperation in her eyes. What was she on the hunt for? What had happened? Maebel picks up the pace, before she suddenly turned the corner. Maebel watches as her vision self gasps, eyes widening. Following her gaze, Maebel spots a beautiful blue iris. A flower that almost seemed like it was glowing. Vision Maebel stumbles forward and leans down to gently pick it. "Yes, this is it, I feel it in my bones... This will cure her." Maebel watches as her vision self relaxes and starts the trek back to the Neophyte. Maebel suddenly jerks in her seat, her eyes fluttering. She hadn't had such a clear vision in a long time.

What did that mean? What was that? Why was that flower so important? Obviously it cured a new kind of disease, because Maebel had the cure for every known disease that had hit the Neophyte. But, besides that, what did that vision mean. There had to be a greater meaning to it? Besides just saving a life, because that vision had been so clear. So unwavering, like that was absolutely what was going to happen. Usually she got visions of possibilities, which were fuzzy and not always clear, sometimes missing some details. But the one she had just had? It was clear, like a recent memory, and clearly had all the details. She had to tell Ruina and Enzo about it! Perhaps her fellow Archseer had saw something as well? And her Templar would no doubt have some kind of answer, some kind of explanation. But she couldn't just leave Savero, he was under her watch. She'd have to wait for the two to come to her, or for Savero to wake up.

She was aware of how important information was. Information was often the turning point of anything. If they didn't get this information, who knew what kind of results that would cause. Would the Neophyte start giving up? Would the Rebellion finally be caught and destroyed by the Monarchy and Government? Would any last hope of the Neophyte returning to Ioana be completely slaughtered? "It's a possibility." Ruina would admit that a part of her had wished that Enzo had disagreed with her. That he had told her that they would get that information, and the Rebellion would go on as planned, and they would finally get to return to Ioana. But, she knew that was too much to hope. She knew the truth. She knew that the Neophyte's future was not guaranteed. That there may not be any Neophyte in the future.

Ruina goes quiet as she watches Enzo, tipping her head. Over the years, she had gotten better at learning when her Archseer's are in the middle of a vision. A possibility of the future. And she had also learned not to interrupt an Archseer in the middle of a vision. Regardless of what was happening. And as always, Ruina was curious to what Enzo was seeing. No doubt he would tell her when he came out of the vision. But Ruina was curious to know what it was like to see the visions. She knew that the Archseer's all had different kind of future-seeing abilities. Like Enzo could see possibilities, but Maebel actually experienced it in an out-of-body experience. And she'd heard of the rare, pretty much impossible, Archseer who had the ability to change the future. But, Ruina couldn't help but wonder what it was like to see the future and it's multiple possibilities.

"It needs to rain." Ruina raises an eyebrow, rain? Why? "It needs to rain within the next two days. I know it sounds a little crazy, but there is a plant somewhere in Zilstead, and if we let it die... everything we're hoping for will never happen. All I know is that if we want information from Savero, that plant -wherever it is right now- needs to live." Ruina had gotten use to what some Neophyte's called crazy talk from Archseer's. And so, she was not phased by how crazy it sounded. But she did purse her lips together, rain? It hadn't rained in Zilstead in months, at least not by natural occurrences. Any rain they got, was from their Archjusticars. "Does it have to be natural rain? Or can it be rain from our Archjusticars?"

If so, Ruina could have someone, probably Thaola, summon in some rain clouds and have it just start raining. Besides, no doubt the crops needed some rain too. And why was a blue flower so important? Ruina would have to summon all her Archseer's, and see if anyone else had been seeing things about a blue flower. If they had possibly seen something that Enzo hadn't, that would give them a clue to finding the flower, and how it would help them. Clearly it was important, but, Ruina wanted to know why and how. She couldn't exactly figure out how a flower could possibly get Savero to reveal the information that he was withholding. But then again, there were a lot of things that Ruina didn't always understand, so typically she just shook them off. Their gifts alone were something of the abnormal, there was no point in mulling over the unexplainable, because without a doubt, it would be explained eventually.

"Well aren't you a radiant ball of sunshine." Tarron threw a half exasperated look at Ikaris. Sure there were moments when it was best to look on the bright side, but at that moment? Eh, not really. "You know with that kind of attitude, Tarron, you'll be stuck in the friend zone with your close friend forever." This earned an eyeroll from Tarron, he could argue with that, considering he really didn't change much about himself when he was around Inara. He was pretty much the same person... Perhaps a little more happy and a bit more upbeat, but he was still just Tarron. Tarron and his motto of, I no longer give a fuck. Which is exactly how Tarron acts. He did try and help around, of course, but it wasn't as if he actually gave a fuck about much of anything. Life would continue on regardless, and stressing about things wouldn't make it better, or make it stop.

"Agree of disagree, beautiful?" Ooh, now Thaola was stuck. Because, she could see how Ikaris was right. But she could also see how he was wrong. Because, she knew that Tarron acted the same way around Inara, and clearly they still liked each other. But, also, there was a chance Inara was tiring of Tarron's I don't give a fuck attitude. But, Thaola was no Archseer, she couldn't tell the future and there was no telling where Tarron and Inara would go. "Hmm, I can't decide. It could go either way." Tarron shot Thaola a look, she wasn't wrong. Thaola grins,"But, it wouldn't hurt to try and be a little more upbeat every now and then, Ta." Tarron's gaze becomes annoyed again, but only for a brief few seconds.

It was more than likely a mutual effort from most of the older Neophyte to shelter the younger, more innocent individuals that resided in Zilstead. It’s difficult to sugar coat their reality, and yet Enzo found that at least shadowing some truths made things easier to process. Or at least more tolerable. Enzo as a boy was similar to most younger males; an adorable troublemaker. Not annoying to the point he got on anybody’s nerves -mostly, anyway- but he enjoyed play and rough housing. Of course, his own parents weren’t the type to put effort into pretending life was any better than it was, so he’s always had an idea that life in Zilstead wasn’t very favorable. However, his constant from childhood to young adulthood is his findings of joy in little things. That quality to Enzo though will never change.

Neither of the boys, not even Inara, are quite ‘therapist’ material. Each are helpful and serve important roles in their own way, but being anybody’s source of venting isn’t quite a quality to any of them. Enzo and Inara both tend to process, interpret, and give advice based on their own experiences in life. Ikaris is… well he likes to hear himself talk, not most other people. Everyone in Zilstead could probably use their own therapist, but everyone approached their issues differently as well. Enzo only felt comfortable sharing with people very close to him, despite the guilt that comes with it. Inara typically fakes positivity and smiles until she reminds herself of the reasons she has to genuinely smile. And Ikaris is Ikaris. His moods are openly flippant, and yet discussing ‘feelings’ and ‘emotions’ with him is like taking the time to count all of the stars in the sky… it’s grueling, time consuming, and utterly pointless.

There is a struggle in Savero, perhaps one that’s always been there, but has only been truly sparked by recent events. But it’s between right and wrong. He knows what others perceive to be right and wrong, and yet… what’s truly stopping him from doing wrong? Why can’t he do cynical things and not pay the price for them? There was nothing particularly stopping Savero from committing crueler acts, except maybe a near silenced conscience and the want to prove he’s worthy of attention, but he still refrains from doing anything to rash. It irritates Sav that he can’t definitively just commit acts that are blatantly wrong, and yet he knew he wasn’t someone to be graciously good either. So what does that make him?

It had felt like hours that Savero’s green gaze rested on the iris. He made not a single attempt to touch it though, because he was terrified his touch would wither it. This blue beacon was all that stood in his deceased lover’s place from the memory, and surely that was a sign. Savero couldn’t explain it, but the flower gave off an energy that made him far less alone. The longer he stayed beside it, watching it, the more comfort he attained. Who this symbol was from, Sav couldn’t be sure. His lost lover, his gods, or merely his subconscious? Regardless, it meant something. It had to. “Please help me.” His voice whispered to the flower, but more specifically, his plea was directed to whom the sign came from. And as the sun fell from the sky, and the water from the falls rushed on, and Savero’s eyes remained fixated on the iris, the flower glowed like the beacon it was. And he closed his eyes to frame the picture for just a moment, only to…

Open his eyes in the waking world. It wasn’t a rude awakening, Savero didn’t move other than to blink, but now he was pissed. That’s it?! That’s as long as he gets to rest?! Here’s your answers, now get your ass up and make sense of them! Is that seriously the message he received?! All of that pent up exhaustion, and for what… staring at a fucking flower for hours in a dream? He didn’t even know if he should be seeking a physical flower, or if there was a deeper message he was supposed to find. That was something he would have to figure out with a little time though. Sav’s eyes carried a lethal edge as they bore into the ceiling, but who wouldn’t be vexed in his position? He hardly felt better rested; just confused, and left wanting more answers. Which of course would deliver him into no better mood, so moody Savero it is then. He was completely aware of where he was, and who was more than likely still in the room with him, and a part of him was grateful there was someone here. Only because if he were alone he would have had quite the explosive episode.

“I’m thirsty.” Came the two words uttered from Savero’s lips, but his deeper tone alone expressed that he was far from happy to be awake. He had only glanced away from the ceiling once to confirm her sole presence here, but after that his eyes returned to the bore of a sight above him. The Sentinel was still on edge, but not enough to be jumpy when it’s not necessary. Besides, Maebel was the least of his worries. But the thought of her did give an opportunity to deflect from his own confusing chorus of thoughts. Maebel was a healer, adamant about healing and stubborn too. This is what Savero has learned of her so far. In Sav’s experience though, there are few reasons for a person to be so invested in helping and healing others. They either can’t help themselves and fix others to make up for their own wreck of a life, weren’t able to help someone close to them when it mattered, or tally saved lives as a way to make them feel more important. Savero would actually laugh if anyone proclaimed they helped others out of the sole decency of their own hearts and kindness. So naturally he was more curious about wanting to pick apart the person in the room with him then to acknowledge his own problems. It’s a healthy enough thing to do, right?

At least Enzo hadn’t received the ‘are you mad?’ look from Ruina. Every Archseer has surely seen that look at least once in their life, that was something Enzo would bet and win on. "Does it have to be natural rain? Or can it be rain from our Archjusticars?" Enzo lightly knitted his brows, almost perplexed by the question. Did it really matter? Water is water, yes? Just to be safe, he silenced for a second to see if his visions would provide any important insight, but it was silent in the realm of possibilities for the moment. “Either, just as long as it’s done.” Enzo stated surely, but he was more than confident that just as long as rain touched down in the area in the allotted time of two days, all would be well. Regardless of how the rain came.

As Enzo thought over the vision again, the more apparent it came just how important this was. There were seriously only three or four other times he had very clear visions, but the former had been more minor visions. Not ones with much weight to them being played out in reality. But this vision felt heavy, in a way that it gave him a dull but not painful migraine like no other. Perhaps it was just the aftermath of this vision taking its toll, but regardless it was abundantly important. Enzo knew that for certain, but if such a thing was so important, how many other Archseers saw what he did? “I want to be sure that what I’ve seen can be trusted though. I can’t always fact check the authenticity of my visions with other Archseers, but I’m willing to bet that this potential future turn out is big enough to have been seen by others.” Enzo explained, while also mulling over his options of who he could go through. Regardless he’d end up inquiring about it with all of the Archseers, but one fellow Archseer came to mind. “I’ve always trusted Maebel’s visions, that’s where I’ll start.”

Enzo more so muttered that to himself, as he shifted his feet to almost walk away from Ruina. But he halted himself, slowing his racing thoughts for a moment to remember that he was in the company of Ruina. Turning back to face her, an apologetic expression washed over his features. “Got carried away for a second.” He said, stepping back closer to Ruina. For a second though, his eyes switched to their surroundings to observe. And when he was done, his eyes trailed back to Ruina with a small smirk. “Was there anything else you wanted to discuss with me, Templar?” Enzo asked, a near flirtatious ring to his tone. He had gotten a little too indulged in the thoughts surrounding Savero, the future, and of course now the flower. But he didn’t want to be so lost in thought and action that he forgot to appreciate his time with Ruina, nor did he want to straight up walk away from her because he got carried away.

Ikaris merely sent a shitty -yet near innocent- grin back to Tarron. Even good ol’ Tarron could use a dose of Ikaris’ lively presence and semi-irritating pokes. It’s all in good fun though, and Ikaris assumed if he truly bothered Tarron that the male would have no problem with removing himself anyway. So Ikaris can’t be that annoying. Yet. And it was amusing for Ikaris to watch Tarron and Inara… he even had a bet going with Enzo on who would make the first move, with Ikaris picking Tarron as his champ. So there may or may not be a reason Ikaris pesters Tarron on the topic of Inara, but you know, a little bugging never hurts. Especially if it helps Ikaris win.

Watching Thaola become visibly torn was something that only fueled the triumphant smirk on Ikaris’ face, because if she had to think about it, then it meant what he said was worth considering. "Hmm, I can't decide. It could go either way." It’s not the total victory he wanted, but Ikaris would take a draw. "But, it wouldn't hurt to try and be a little more upbeat every now and then, Ta." A quiet snicker sounded from Ikaris at Tarron’s annoyed gaze, but it was funny to him. “A little positivity does everyone good.” Ikaris smirked before leaning down to place a seconds long kiss to the corner of Thaola’s lips before moving away. “For example, I am absolutely positive that I gave her something to smile about. It feels good to spread cheer.” Adding a wink to Thaola, Ikaris moved his triumphant gaze to Tarron whilst placing his hands in his pockets. Now he was having fun with both Tarron and Thaola, but why shouldn’t he?

Ruina hated that the younger ones were so sheltered, it made it a hard transition from child to teenager, to adult. Yes, it was better to not allow the children to know all of the issues that plagued Zilstead, however they should know some, the minor ones. And perhaps a little of the major ones. Ruina knew that she had issues when she'd transitioned from child to teenager. She had been slightly upset to learn all that had been hidden from her. It had driven more of a wedge between her and her brothers, but.. Ruina felt like someday that bond would be fixed. Hopefully soon, because even though she wouldn't admit it, she missed her brothers. She remembered how close they used to be when they were younger.

There were not a lot of people within Zilstead who were considered therapist material. It was a difficult thing to do, Ruina knew that much, and so she was grateful for Maebel who had become the unofficial therapist of Zilstead. Ruina had asked Maebel if she minded, and Maebel had waved the Templar off, assuring she enjoyed trying to help people. Though she could not always offer the best advice, she tried her best, and usually everyone walked away pretty damn satisfied... Or perhaps a little happier. Maebel herself wasn't even sure how she exactly ended up as a therapist, it was almost as if it just happened one day. Like the Neophyte had just decided her as their therapist, because she was the healer. Though the words healer and therapist could be connected, so Maebel didn't mind.

Maebel didn't know how long she had sat in that vision, but from the position of the sun outside, it hadn't been that long. It had felt like a long time, she sighs to herself as her eyes flicker to Savero who was still asleep on the bed. He seemed still and peaceful, was he dreaming peacefully? Or was he having a terrible dream? Maebel shakes her head, he was an odd being. Not just because of his eyes, but because Maebel had never met anyone like him. Yes, she had only lived among the Neophyte, but there was this anger around Savero. Why? Just like the rest of the Neophyte, Maebel was curious to what had happened to Savero. Why had he attacked the Government and Monarchy? Had he been apart of the Rebellion? If so, why didn't he wait for the Rebellion to move? Why was he so angry?

And then it seemed like he was awake, Maebel saw a sudden movement, but it seemed to be his eyes. So, he was awake. Though, Maebel says nothing, returning to her work. Ruina may have ordered her to watch Savero, but she didn't say she had to make friends with him. And something about Savero unnerved Maebel, but also intrigued her. However, the future gave her no clues about what would truly happen. Her visions came differently, the Archseer's who were more likely to see what Savero's future was were Archseer's like Enzo. Perhaps if Maebel had some time later, she'd catch Enzo and see if he'd seen anything about Savero. Whether it be good or bad. Would it be good? She hoped so, she'd hate for Savero's arrival to completely screw over the Neophyte. After how long they had fought to live, it would seem cruel and heartless for it all to just end.

"I'm thirsty." Maebel refrained from being sarcastic, keeping her voice calm,"Then get up and get some water." She gestures towards the wall where a bucket of fresh water hung. It was covered to keep it clean, and there were cups beside it to dip in it and then drink from. Maebel may be a healer, but she was not his caretaker. Considering his injury was not even that bad, especially now that it had been treated, he could get up and get his own water. Maebel was not going to bring him every little thing. Wherever Savero had come from before, Zilstead was not going to be the same. Though it seemed as Savero had been well treated before he had been banished, no doubt he expected everything to be brought to him. So, he had been of one of the higher classes. Maebel just wondered which one.

The first time Ruina had ever been around an Archseer during and after a vision, she had indeed given them the are you mad look. But, over time she'd gotten use to it, especially since she had begun dating Enzo. It was something that was just a natural thing. Like how Archshaman's eyes glowed slightly when they were manipulating Chi. Every ability had their own little quirks, and overtime Ruina had gotten use to them. Ruina truly did hope that the way they got water didn't matter. But... She knew nothing of how the future worked, so, maybe it did. Maybe it didn't. "Either, just as long as it's done." Ruina nods,"I'll see Thaola and the other Archjusticar's soon. They'll get a rain storm whipped up as quick as they can." Ruina hoped that this vision would truly lead to their salvation. Enzo seemed sure that something important would stem from it. And what of her other Archseer's? Had anyone else seen such a vision?

"I want to be sure that what I've seen can be trusted though. I can't always fact check the authenticity of my visions with other Archseers, but I'm willing to bet that this potential future turn out is big enough to have been seen by others." Ruina nods, that was a good idea. She was just thinking that. "I've always trusted Maebel's visions, that's where I'll start." Ruina nods again, out of all of her Archseer's, Enzo and Maebel were the ones she trusted the most. Even before she had started dating Enzo, she had trusted him and Maebel. Their visions had hardly ever led the Neophyte's wrong. Besides, Maebel was just so level headed that she never truly spoke unless it was important. So, Ruina had gotten use to automatically trusting and listening to Maebel when she spoke. Yes, she still thought over what Maebel said, but more often then not it usually made sense.

Ruina raises an eyebrow as Enzo starts off, chuckling to herself. Seems he was caught up in his thoughts. She was about to move after him when he turned back around, an apologetic look on his face. "Got carried away for a second." Ruina grins slightly, moving towards Enzo,"I could tell." Came the teasing remark. "Was there anything else you wanted to discuss with me, Templar." Ruina's smile widens more at the flirtatious tone. "Hmm, nothing I can think of off the top of my head." Ruina pretends to think,"Except... For maybe this-" Ruina leans forward to press a kiss to Enzo's lips. Yes, the current situation with the vision and Savero was dire. But, it didn't hurt to slow down and just enjoy the present. Ruina never wanted to lose a single moment with Enzo, and she felt like the situation could be put on hold for a little.

Tarron rolls his eyes, out of the whole group, Tarron probably tolerated Ikaris the least. The Archsage couldn't explain it, it wasn't as though Tarron didn't like Ikaris, it was just that Ikaris got on his nerves a lot. Which for the usual calm and easy going Archsage, was an unlikely thing. It wasn't as though Ikaris got on his nerves so bad that Tarron had to leave. But just like it wouldn't hurt for Tarron to liven up a little, it wouldn't hurt for Ikaris to be a little bit more serious. As for Inara? Yeah, that was a situation Tarron definitely had no idea over. He was still struggling with figuring that out himself, and here Ikaris and Thaola were, teasing him about it. Was that helpful? Meh, not really. It just made Tarron think more on it, and how he felt and blah, blah, blah. That whole thing.

"A little positivity does everyone good." Thaola could agree with that, and deep down Tarron could as well. But a petty part of Tarron would not be admitting it to either Thaola or Ikaris. Especially not right now. "For example, I am absolutely positive that I gave her something to smile about. It feels good to spread cheer." Thaola did indeed grin, but most everyone did when they were kissed. Regardless of how short or how long, a kiss was a kiss. Thaola had no doubt if Inara kissed Tarron, the Archsage would be grinning like an idiot. Now would Thaola point that out to the Archsage? No, that would just make Tarron even more salty in this whole situation. Or, it would make Tarron blush. It was a fifty-fifty opportunity, and Thaola truly did not know the outcome if she chose to tease Tarron.

Maebel's mind was quick to drift back to the vision, it was bugging her, because it had been so clear. Usually it was faded and not so detailed, which signaled that it could change. Had any of the other Archseer's seen anything like that? She'd have to ask, and the first person she'd want to ask was Enzo. But, how would she get away from Savero to ask Enzo? She needed someone else to come watch him, but who? "Maebel." The Archseer's gaze flashes up as the door opens and in enters Riden. Maebel beams inside, perfect, Riden could watch Savero while Maebel went and found Enzo and Ruina who would no doubt with Enzo. "Riden, you're just in time." Riden raises an eyebrow,"Am I? I just came to check on you and..." Riden's eyes flicker to Savero for a second, then back to Maebel,"See how you guys were doing."

Maebel inclines her head,"I've treated his head wound, and he'll be fine, if he doesn't get any bacteria in it and keeps the bandage on. But, I do need you to do me a favor." Riden nods,"What is it?" Maebel answers,"Stay here and keep an eye on him for me, will you? I need to go do something." Riden studies Maebel, before nodding, he knew she wouldn't be asking him to do such a thing unless it was important. "You got it." Maebel smiles,"Thank you." Riden shrugs,"No problem."

“We’re here for a fun time, not a long time.”

Enzo knew those to be the wisest of words Ikaris had under his belt. Well, in terms of what Ikaris considered wisdom anyway -as for pure wisdom, that phrase is highly debatable-. And while fun to most degrees was fairly nonexistent in Zilstead, Enzo figured the youth of the land might as well enjoy their days of living under a -semi- trouble free veil for as long as possible. Quite honestly he would have appreciated a little more effort from his parents to at least cushion the blows of how tolling life would be. A transition in perspective of the world from childhood to adolescence would have been nice, and maybe it would have made him wiser. Or worse. It’s not like he could peer back in time though to know for sure though.

"Then get up and get some water." Savero’s expression morphed into one of utter disdain, however he allowed his eyes to travel to where Maebel had gestured. Irked was one word to kindly put how he took to the healer’s response. It was habitual for him to make a request and have it fulfilled. “You’re closer.” He dared to quip under his breath, but strayed from making a bolder show of his petulance. Not a muscle in his making incited a mighty protest of Savero’s movement out of bed to station himself on his feet. His eyes only briefly stayed on Maebel to gauge whether she would allow him to stride to the water without incident -or remark-. Ultimately his attention shifted back to the bucket, and he proceeded on the short journey to it. As he underwent the actions of acquiring a cup and removing the bucket's cloth to dip his cup into the water, he couldn’t help but to feel how lowly this task felt. It’s a servant's job to fetch water, to beckon to his call, and to heed to his commands. No longer was he in a position to rely on royal standards though.

Savero gave a light shake of his head to rid himself of such realization, as well as to rid himself of the urge to spit in the bucket out of irritated spite, and sipped on the water in his cup as he walked back to the bed. The liquid didn’t last long upon him seating himself back down, nor did it quench his thirst for something stronger, but it was something. While no substance remained in the cup, he gave it a delicate swirl in his grasp as he glanced up to watch Maebel. She wasn’t worth throwing a remark at for the meantime, and even so he had no good remark to make at the moment anyway.

"I'll see Thaola and the other Archjusticar's soon. They'll get a rain storm whipped up as quick as they can." Enzo’s expression alone communicated just how thankful he was for Ruina’s response. She placed a lot of faith into a lot of his more wild visions, and this was certainly one of those wild ones. Outwardly, it made little sense. But Enzo just knew how important this was. But more importantly, he knew he had Ruina’s faith in him, and his ability. Which meant a lot to the Chaplain.

"I could tell." Yes, Enzo got carried away a bit more than he’d like to admit. But Ruina never seemed vexed by his moments of getting carried away. Not yet, anyway. "Hmm, nothing I can think of off the top of my head." Enzo’s smile failed to waiver as he further watched Ruina’s act of ‘thinking’, and his head angled ever so slightly to the side as she continued. "Except... For maybe this-" The Chaplain leaned in enough to meet Ruina for the kiss, with his hands moving to her waist in order to pull her just a little closer to him. Dire moments arise, it always felt like time would stop for just a little bit for them whenever they were together like this.

After a moment, Enzo broke away -still smiling- as he looked down at Ruina. “To be continued?” He asked with a smirk, his tone a cross of flirtatious and hopeful. He was fairly certain they were alone at the moment, but Enzo still would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to expressing affection. He tolerates snickers and side smiles from the other Neophyte already when it comes to them seeing him and Ruina holding hands or sneaking glances at each other. And that was all Enzo could comfortably tolerate.

If Tarron openly admitted to Ikaris that he successfully got on his nerves a bit, it would only encourage Ikaris to creatively pursue ways to further get under Tarron’s skin. It would be both funny and honoring that he of all people could irritate someone so relatively calm. Of course, usually everyone who’s been around Ikaris for quite a while can grow a little tired or irritated with his relentless antics. But the blonde doesn’t mind. He would mind if someone told him to be a little more serious though. Ew. Never happening. And for Inara? Where she stood with Tarron was just… uncharted territory. For her, at least. She valued their friendship more than many things, but she couldn’t help but contemplate whether it was just friendship she sought lately. It was weird. Feelings are weird.

Thaola’s grin only further proved Ikaris’ point, to him at least. Of course, anyone would smile if they were the recipient of one of Ikaris’ kisses though, right? Talk about an honor. Which as of late, Thaola has been the sole receiver of Ikaris’ attention and flirty affections. Tarron and Inara weren’t Ikaris and Thaola though, so Ikaris couldn’t really see them having… well whatever he and Thaola had going. “Wow, I’m actually out of ideas for conversation topics. That’s weird.” Ikaris shrugged, but just when he thought he had something witty to throw at Tarron… poof. It was gone. “Oh yeah, so the new guy, crazy right? I totally forgot he existed.” Ikaris said, genuinely expressing his bafflement at having forgotten one of the weirdest things to have stumbled upon Zilstead. It’s so hard being the center of the universe sometimes though, because Ikaris tends to forget other people exist from time to time.

Maebel was thinking about something. And Savero was thinking about what she was thinking about. Was that his paranoia, or would it be in his best interest to try and stay ahead of whatever she was contemplating? Sav could never be sure. One of the curses of paranoia he supposed. His head snapped quicker than anybody should be capable of towards the door, just before it opened to reveal a familiar masculine figure. "Maebel." On instinct, Savero’s eyes narrowed as he watched the male, not daring to appear friendly in the slightest. "Riden, you're just in time." At that though, Savero did shoot a look of mild alarm towards Maebel. What had she been planning? What was Riden in time for? It had to be bad, didn’t it? He knew it. Everyone was plotting against him; in some way or another. They always are. He should have never fallen asleep… was that water even safe to drink?

"Am I? I just came to check on you and..." Swiveling his sights back to Riden, again his features morphed into a threatening glare. "See how you guys were doing." It’s times like these where Savero was grateful that no one could hear the sound of another person’s heartbeat, because he could feel his pulsating violently in his ears. It wasn’t fear, per say, but on the verge of spiking an adrenaline rush. "I've treated his head wound, and he'll be fine, if he doesn't get any bacteria in it and keeps the bandage on. But, I do need you to do me a favor." No, Savero didn’t need the bandage. If Maebel wanted it on him, then he didn’t want it on anymore. But what favor? “What is it?" Gulping in anticipation, Savero glanced at the door. It looked hundreds of miles from where he was, but that was his only easy exit. It was his only way out.

"Stay here and keep an eye on him for me, will you? I need to go do something." A large portion of Savero’s anticipation died at hearing Maebel’s request. But what did Maebel need to do? "You got it." Savero knew he was getting handed off to another babysitter, and while that didn’t seem so bad on the surface, he couldn’t shake the feeling of doom lurking around the corner. Or, yet again, was that just his sense of paranoia? "Thank you." Savero exchanged glares between both Maebel and Riden, before settling his stare on Maebel. "No problem.” “No, there is a problem.” Savero interjected tensely from the bed, in a tone more bordering fearful hysteria than anger. “I’m not just a thing you can pass around to be babysat. You can’t just… I’m-” Nobody. Not here, anyway. He’s not even an acknowledged Sentinel anymore. He had no authority, and no respect to demand out of anyone. So wouldn’t that make him nobody… everywhere? He was a nobody in the people of nobody’s now. That was almost funny, in a darker sense.

“Nevermind, go do whatever.” Savero muttered while dropping his gaze, speaking as if his permission was needed. Old habits die hard. But even when he did have the status, and his own smaller seat of power, he never did use it the way his family did. Or the Government. But now he was acting like all of them combined. Insensitive, demanding, vicious… but he could blame his behavior on experience. Even then, deep down, he knew he could only blame everyone else for so long before he had to acknowledge that he was consciously choosing to be the person he swore to never become. The Sentinel crossed his arms, sat forward, and contemplated standing up to pace. He wasn’t sure what walking around back and forth would do for him, but it was something. And yet, he chose to further sit in a sulkin state.

Fun was not something that was a common theme around Zilstead. Fun was hard to find in the vast barren land, where danger could lurk around any corner. Being confined within the borders of the Neophyte's home was not very fun either. But, Ruina knew that most of the youth do their best to enjoy whatever they can. They still make up games to play, and they still chase each other around. Which honestly, was the best that could be done around Zilstead. The adults, when they had time, even stopped to play with the youth. Wanting to keep the youthful and playful spirit going among the young.

Maebel's gaze remains steely and calm, despite the expression of disdain flashing across Savero's face. "You're closer." Maebel's sharp ears were barely able to pick that up, however she still makes no move. Regardless of where Savero came from, he would learn that not everything was going to be brought to him like he was some kind of royal. Titles were practically useless around Zilstead. They were there, yes, but everyone threw in their same weight. Ruina, the official highest rank of the Neophyte did just as much as the lowest rank of the Neophyte. Their ranks and titles never really mattered to anyone. The Neophyte had bigger things to worry about, such as survival.

Maebel keeps an eye on Savero as he clambers out of bed and heads to the bucket. The words, see that wasn't so hard, rose in her mouth. However she bit them back down, making sure that Savero was getting water before returning to her work. She kept a medical file on everyone in Zilstead, so that she could remember everything about them that could save their life. What they couldn't eat, what kinds of medicines they couldn't be treated with. The special medicines made specifically for them. Riden often came to help her, and sometimes Riden even drug along Ruina, Tarron, and Thaola to help as well. But Maebel rarely ever worked on medical files alone, unless it was only one or two. But if it was dozens and more, she'd always call for help.

Ruina's grin widens as Enzo returns her kiss, her arms moving around his neck. She leans against him as the Chaplain pulls her in closer. Her body melded against his, and it was like they were two pieces of a puzzle. The saying, time stopped, literally happened to Ruina anytime she kissed Enzo. Hell, time slowed down when she was with Enzo. She could never express truly how much she loved being around Enzo. How much just seeing him made her day better. It was incredible how quickly and hard Ruina had fallen in love with Enzo, and it was something she'd never regret. Never ever.

Even when Enzo pulled away, the smile refused to leave Ruina's face as she smiles at him. "To be continued?" Ruina agrees, winking at him,"To be continued." As she allows her arms to drop to her side. Her eyes flashing around briefly, wondering if anyone else was around. She tolerated the teasing from the Neophyte well, but sometimes it could get on her nerves a little. But, it was also endearing in a way. And it felt normal. In the hell that the Neophyte was living it, the teasing over the romantic things Ruina and Enzo do, felt like a slice of normality. Like they weren't living like everyday was their last, or like they weren't in danger from whatever else roamed Zilstead.

"Wow, I'm actually out of ideas for conversation topics. That's weird." Thaola chuckles, as she looks over the gardens one last time. "Come on. Let's go see what else can be done." Tarron was quick to agree on that, falling into step with Thaola as she sets off. "Oh yeah, so the new guy, crazy right? I totally forgot he existed." Thaola and Tarron exchange a glance, they hadn't forgotten about Savero. "He's crazy alright." Thaola agrees, shaking her head. "Who would go against the Monarchy and Government by themselves? That's suicide." Tarron bobs his head in agreement,"I don't like how secretive he is being either. Like he's some kind of war criminal." Thaola and Tarron exchange another glance. What if Savero's being at Zilstead brings about the Neophyte's destruction? What if this was the final tipping point?

Maebel ignores Savero's alarmed look, no doubt he believed that it was some kind of bad plan. If Maebel trusted Savero a little more, she probably would have told him. But this vision... It was so important, and Maebel felt like this could be the saving grace or destruction of the Neophyte. She didn't feel like a stranger should get to know about something so important. Espeically after he had disrespected the Neophyte. Maebel had never felt such feelings over a vision, and she was sure that Riden could tell something was off. Considering the way that Riden was studying her. And indeed, Riden knew was something off, and if Savero wasn't there, he would ask. But, Riden simply keeps his mouth shut. He would find out sooner or later.

Riden ignores Savero's threatening glare. It did not affect him. Though both Maebel and Riden saw how Savero's eyes went to the door. Maebel couldn't help but chuckle slightly,"Calm down, Savero. Like Ruina promised, you are safe. You will not be harmed." Riden bobs his head in agreement. And even if Riden looked threatening and scary, the man could hardly hurt a fly. But, if you hurt someone he cared for dearly (So pretty much all the Neophyte), then you were screwed. But, besides that. Riden was very peaceful. Of course, if needed, Riden could fight. After all, he had taught Ruina and her brothers to fight. But, it was a skill that Riden had never been fond of.

"No, there is a problem." Maebel's blue eyes harden slightly. If you didn't look at Maebel too closely, it was almost as if she had the same color eyes, almost. "What is this problem?" Maebel wonders as she gets to her feet. Riden simply raises an eyebrow. Though both noted the fearful hysteria in Savero's voice. "I'm not just a thing you can pass around to be babysat. You can't just... I'm-" Maebel sighs slightly, feeling bad for Savero. "Nevermind, go do whatever." Maebel looks sideways at Riden, who waves her off. "He will be okay with me. I'll try to cheer him up. Go, I think I saw Enzo and Ruina nearby. If your lucky, you'll catch them before they disappear again."

Maebel's lips purse and Riden flashes a smile,"Hey, I may not be able to heal like you. But, you know I take care of people just fine." Maebel nods,"Alright, alright. I'll be back." Her gaze darts to Savero briefly, before she heads to the door, slipping out of it. Her eyes scanning her surroundings for Enzo and/or Ruina. Around her, Zilstead was busy. Even with the odd arrival of Savero, life did not slow down or stop in Zilstead. There was too much to do. Maebel starts off, searching for the Templar and Chaplain. People were on patrol, some were hunting, a few were looking over the gardens, and much more. There was always something to do in Zilstead. Even the children pitched in and helped sometimes, though currently, they were playing.

Riden turns back towards Savero. "No one here thinks you're just a thing. But, Mae has you on bed rest. And if she wants you on bed rest, you stay in best rest." Riden snorts in amusement, he remembered the last time someone tried to leave bed rest. Maebel had strapped them to the bed, and glared at them until they had finally agreed to just stay and rest. "Elsewise, you would be out in Zilstead, probably getting a tour." Riden was careful not to look to closely at Savero, specifically his eyes, because it was something that he was not use to. But, besides that Riden was completely himself. Calm, collected, and pretty friendly.

While Enzo has never exactly been well acquainted with fun, it never seemed to evade finding children by one way of means or another. And should it not find the children of Zilstead, Enzo was proud to spectate others finding fun for them. The only exception to individuals finding amusement at every turn in Enzo’s experience was Ikaris - albeit that man was an entirely different breed of his own. Children though were easier to please by a large margin than adults were. No, they weren’t entirely oblivious to the harsher way of life that surrounded them, but they saw opportunity and silver-linings in things most older pairs of eyes would so easily overlook. That was the beauty of innocence, Enzo supposed.

It had to be a fact written in the stars, a fact forged by some ancient destiny, or a fated miracle - but Enzo truly believed he was made for Ruina, just as much as she was made for him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, it being the spark to an inferno that only burned through him when he was with her. Enzo could feel her smile against his own in the kiss. There were times that the only way he expressed his gentle affections was through action that communicated just how deeply he loved her with every last atom of his make-up. Neither of them knew when, but Enzo knew one thing that he was willing to bet his life on. And that was that, one day, he was going to marry her. Tomorrow was never promised in Zilstead, but Enzo knew there was no tomorrow worth looking forward to if Ruina wasn’t going to be a part of it.

“To be continued." The Templar winked, and Enzo felt every butterfly that existed in the world migrate to his stomach. Tenderly releasing her waist was the action that followed the breathy words he uttered closer to her ear. “It’s a date then.” A childish grin replaced his smirk - they were well past simply dating, encroaching on peak intimacy. Enzo’s gaze briefly but silently tethered intensely to her own bicolor eyes - it tickled Enzo to see himself reflecting back at himself in her perfect pools. He aspired to be nothing more than the man she perceived him as.

The Chaplain’s eyes drifted to the side, a brief vision finding its way into his thoughts. In sync, Enzo practically created a distance of five feet between him and Ruina as well as flickered a smile in her direction. “I don’t think I’ll be needing to journey far to fact check that vision of mine with another Archseer.” Enzo’s brows briefly creased together in calculated thought. “Step a few paces back, love. Maebel will see you when she passes.” Enzo instructed, and while he was certain there wouldn’t be too much time until Maebel ventured into their current area, he’d rather selfishly remain here and devour any moment alone with Ruina he can rather than go out of his way to meet Maebel halfway. Even if both he and Ruina were a fair distance apart at the moment.

"Come on. Let's go see what else can be done." Ikaris replied with a groan and a roll of his eyes as he followed. “More chores elsewhere, what a way to keep the fun going.” He sarcastically drew out, twirling his index finger in a motion of faux excitement. "He's crazy alright." The shift in conversation implored Ikaris to keep pace with the pair, falling into stride on Thaola’s opposite side. "Who would go against the Monarchy and Government by themselves? That's suicide." Ikaris shrugged, “Maybe he’s crazy and suicidal.” It would be a rather dramatic way to attempt to end one’s life by soloing the Monarchy and Government combined though. "I don't like how secretive he is being either. Like he's some kind of war criminal." Ikaris’ gaze observed the glance between both Thaola and Tarron. Ikaris couldn’t disagree that the secretive behavior wasn’t unsettling, though. “Well, what about that one saying? You know, the enemy of my enemy is a friend? If he is a war criminal in the eyes of tyrants, maybe that’s not such a bad thing for us.” Ikaris offered, a singular brow raising as if demanding the pair preach their agreements or oppositions to his own inserted perception.

For a moment all Savero’s eyes could do was shift its stare from Maebel and Riden in a manner that was anything but rhythmic, and far from calculated. His heart was a thousand drums beating against his ribcage. There was a silent conversational exchange between the two it seemed to Savero. And he didn’t understand their silent language, and he knew he didn’t like that. "Calm down, Savero. Like Ruina promised, you are safe. You will not be harmed." The Sentinel bristled in response to her speaking his name, as if it was the sole word that was sure to summon an entity estranged to him. It simply sounded wrong to hear his name fall from such strange lips. They didn’t really know who Savero was, and perhaps that was the aspect of hearing his name that he didn’t enjoy. They knew a Savero that less than gracefully stumbled into their lands filled with fear, rage, and hysteria. For just a second, he understood how unsettling he must seem to these people.

Though that understanding dissipated just as quickly as it had come. Not because he no longer understood, but simply because his mind was already split in far too many directions - any more thoughts that would threaten to strain his ability to process everything internally and externally around him would render Savero at a loss of whatever sanity he had left. "He will be okay with me. I'll try to cheer him up. Go, I think I saw Enzo and Ruina nearby. If your lucky, you'll catch them before they disappear again." Savero’s eyes flashed a perfect blend of unamusement and disbelief, there was a scoff that was implied by his expression towards Riden. Cheer him up. That was a grossly impossible feat. "Hey, I may not be able to heal like you. But, you know I take care of people just fine." While Savero trusted neither individual, he had half a mind to vocalize that he wished not to be left alone with the more brutish, older male. However, to avoid any trace of pathetic plea that may have seeped into his gaze, Savero allowed his eyes to fall to the floor. "Alright, alright. I'll be back.”

Savero waited until Maebel exited before his eyes slowly traveled back to the only other entity within the room. "No one here thinks you're just a thing. But, Mae has you on bed rest. And if she wants you on bed rest, you stay in best rest." The Sentinel’s gaze squinted as he attempted to dissect what the ending snort of amusement meant. Was Riden snorting at his expense? Savero didn’t wish to ask for clarification. Though he greatly disagreed on being regarded as a ‘thing’. "Elsewise, you would be out in Zilstead, probably getting a tour." It was Savero’s turn to allow his body to lightly shake with a humorless laugh, his hands moving up to his head to begin to remove the bandage from himself. “I will not parade myself around your community under the guise of a tour so I can be gawked at like some bizarre creature.” He remarked taughtly, his tone settling at the crossroads of whatever bordered bitterness and displeasure.

The green-eyed male grimaced as he removed the bandage, crumpling it in his grasp in a manner of such genuine loathing that one could have thought the bandage may have said something to offend Savero. “Besides, I know how this will go.” Savero stated vaguely, re-positioning himself on his cot to remain pressed against the wall, though turned enough to where he could more comfortably face Riden. The more he observed the two-toned eyes of Riden, the less he understood why they were separated from Ioana. They were different from the norm, there was no protesting that. However, something seemed wrong about the situation. It didn’t seem like his father to simply toss out individuals that possessed unique power - it was more of his father’s nature to learn to weaponize those differences for his own various agenda’s. It is, after all, what the King ensured to be done with his own children. “I will not be a comfortably accepted presence until I share with your people the details of myself and the circumstances that have led me here, which I know you’re all dying to know.” Savero’s voice was dripping in sarcasm, and maybe cynicism, and maybe something more.

“Straying from that matter, though… I am curious, Riden. By what means do you have that will, as you suggested you would, cheer me up?” Savero challenged with a tilt of his head, his brows raising in accordance. Unless the man had a coveted bottle of wine on his person, Savero would not find any satisfaction or any sense of content here. Besides, he had already doubted Riden was genuine in those throwaway words meant solely to reassure Maebel before she left. They were not words meant to soothe Savero.

It made life all that little bit easier to have Enzo beside her. It was clear that the two were meant to be together. By whatever rules the universe ran on. But it was something that Ruina had never expected. The Neophyte weren't always that lucky, sometimes people got together just so that they could reproduce and keep the Neophyte going. There were a lot of couples out there in a loveless relationship, and the sad reality was that it had to happen so the Neophyte didn't become extinct.

And yet, Ruina had gotten so incredibly lucky. She knew deep in her heart that her and Enzo were meant to be. Maybe even when their lives slowed down and permitted it, they would marry. But, Ruina was happy. She could live just fine if they never got married, but she would be just thrilled if they did. Of course, they did have bigger things on their plate. Like the survival of their kind and the rebellion of a corrupt and cruel government.

"It's a date then." Ruina shiver sightly, the whisper sending shivers down her spin. She returns his grin, but bites back the words she wanted to say. Lest it lead to more, which not that Ruina would complain. However, now was not a good time. But later for sure. And Ruina couldn't wait. Although for a brief second, that felt longer than just a second, Ruina got lost in Enzo's eyes. The contrasting amber and blue. There were so many different colors in his two eyes. One matching the hue of amber and one matching the hue of blue. To some it would be disorienting but to Ruina, it made perfect sense. She loved to get lose in his eyes.

She snaps herself out of it as his gaze drifts sideways, and she watches curiously as Enzo starts moving. Ruina couldn't help but wonder what he was doing, but she flashes a smile back. "I don't think I'll be needing to journey far to fact check that vision of mine with another Archseer." Ruina raises an eyebrow, oh? What did his visions show him? "Step a few paces back, love. Maebel will see you when she passes." Ruina obeys, though her head tips sideways slightly. She was never one to question an Archseer's vision, but she couldn't deny the curiosity. Did that mean Maebel was nearby? Had she seen something that had prompted her to seek Ruina and Enzo?

Thaola chuckles at Ikaris' groan. "More chores elsewhere, what a way to keep the fun going." Thaola shakes her head,"If we don't do it, who will?" Everyone was already stretched out pretty thin as it was. Between guarding their home, hunting, training, and all the other little odds and ends that popped up. Keeping Zilstead and her inhabitants alive was a hard job for everyone. It required a lot and somedays it was a living hell for everyone. Those days, tempers ran high and Ruina was often running around trying to keep everybody calm and the town still functioning.

"Maybe he's crazy and suicidal." Thaola and Tarron exchange a glance, that was a possibility. Although, there were definitely better ways to commit such an act. Going against the Government? "Well, what about that one saying? You know, the enemy of my enemy is a friend? If he is a war criminal in the eyes of the tyrants, maybe that's not such a bad thing for us." Thaola was quick to counter,"And if he is as dangerous and unstable as he seems? If we allow him to stay, what if he snaps and turns on us? What happens if someone is injured?" What if one of the children were injured? Ruina would never forgive herself for allowing Savero to stay if he did injury anyone.

Maebel turns the corner, deep in thought, though her eyes flash up as they land on Ruina. "Ah! Just the one I was looking for! Say, is Enzo with you?" Though her question was quickly answered as she drew closer to the Templar. "Perfect!" Maebel comes to a halt beside Ruina who muses,"What can we do for you Maebel?" Maebel looks to Enzo,"Did you have a vision recently? Like within the last five minutes?" Ruina frowns, two of her Archseers having a vision? And if they were the same? That was quite worrying.

Riden's gaze travels to Savero as he hears a scoff. Okay, so perhaps Riden wasn't the best at cheering people up, but he could surely try. And perhaps he could even try and get Savero to open up. Now that Riden was good at, getting people to relax and trust him and open up a little. It was almost like Riden was a sort of therapist of some kind. But then again, the man had that kind of effect on people. It was just the way that he lived his life. He was kind hearted and just let the wind carry him basically. He was a very calm and steady man, it was incredibly hard to upset him. Despite his brutish build and look.

"I will not parade myself around your community under the guise of a tour so I can be gawked at like some bizarre creature." Riden chuckles slightly,"We Neophyte have better things to do than gawk at a stranger among us." Like staying alive. The only ones who would probably stop and gawk would be the children, but that was just their curious nature. The older ones would be too busy in their work, and would most likely hardly spare a glance at Savero. Now, that didn't mean they were unaware of him being in Zilstead, it was just they had bigger things to worry about.

"Besides, I know how this will go." Riden takes a seat at Maebel's desk, raising an eyebrow, oh did he now? Did this newcomer believe he had it all figured out? Or did he think he had it all figured out simply because he was used to living in Ioana and not the cruel Outskirts that was Zilstead. "I will not be a comfortably accepted presence until I share with your people the details of myself and the circumstances that have led me here, which I know you're all dying to know." A small smirk crawls at the edge of Riden's lips, ah, so the outcast did know a little bit. Though it was not Riden's place to address that matter, and so the Archbishop says no more on the matter.

"Straying from that matter, though... I am curious, Riden. By what means do you have that will, as you suggested you would, cheer me up?" Riden chuckles,"Well, Savero, everyone can be cheered up in different ways. So, tell me, what cheers you up?" Typically Riden's outgoing and calm personality could help one's mood pretty well. However, it did not seem to be working on Savero. Now, since Riden wasn't a Archsage, he could not read nor manipulate Savero's emotions in anyway. Although, reading Savero's emotions weren't too hard. It was clear how Savero felt about Zilstead and her inhabitants, and the situation he was in.
