Mouse hesitated. I really don't want to go in there. What if the skins take me and I become a skin-held and they never let me out? She looked at Macy. The poor cat looked like she could barely manage a few more steps. Mouse sighed, then started padding towards the building Macy lived in.

Rock could almost see the fear rising off of her. He knew how she felt. Because he kinda felt the same way. He pressed himself close to her side. "It will be ok, nothing will happen to you." He said and then walked with them. When they got to her house he got a little scared. Barely showing it. Rock helped Mouse get Macy to the front of her house. They laid her down in front of the door. He didn't know what to do next. The skins would soon be here. So he and Mouse needed to leave. "Macy." He started. "This is where we say goodbye for now." He finished then looked at Mouse.

Mouse nodded. "Hopefully, after you recover, you can try to find us again. Maybe...maybe the murderer will be gone..." We saved a life, didn't we? It's worth coming here, but definitely getting out of here as soon as possible, she glanced around for any skins. The thoughts kept echoing in her head, They took my family, and maybe even killed them! They're bad, and evil! I would rather not eat for a week!

He gave Macy one last nod and then turned to Mouse. "We should leave before the skins come." That feeling suddenly came back to him. The feeling of never wanting to leave her. To be by her side until both of their deaths. Then deep down he knew what he would ask her. He figured out that he loved her. He wanted to be with her forever. And with that he started his trot back towards the alleys.

Mouse turned back one last time and smiled at Macy, hoping she would be okay, then followed Rock. The chilly night air left clouds of fog in front of her face. She shivered, and pressed against Rock without knowing it. Sure is cold...

The night air started to chill. He gave a slight shiver. But as Mouse pressed against him, he felt warmth. He didn't know when to tell her what he felt. But she had to much on her mind for now. After Drat and Macy's attacks she must be In a horrible state. He didn't want her to worry about him. But he knew he would be there for her. "Mouse." He started. His breath escaping in clouds. "Can we talk?"

Mouse was confused. Was something wrong? "Sure...we have time." she said, looking at Rock.

"Mouse it's nothing like that sorta thing." He said seeing her confused look. "It's just ever since we met, it seems like I have a feeling deep inside. One that I have never felt before. It's just... I really like you, and I want to be by your side forever." He finished, looking embarrassed like a little kitten.

Mouse was stunned. She didn't know how to respond. "I..." she couldn't meet his eye. Suddenly, she leaned forward and buried her face in his fur. "I wish this murderer didn't exist. You would be safe forever and...maybe...if..." she leaned farther, wrapping her tail around his.
