Dark A cheetah padded out causing Shasta to roar again. The cheetah just went by him and the food as if they weren't there. He cocked his head confused as he looked after the cheetah.

Diamond studied the cheetah, noticing he had some sort of wax like stuff covering his ears. "I- I think he's deaf-" She said, whining.

Dark "Maybe but he didn't seem blind and I know he could smell." Shasta said before turning back to their kill. He was still hungry and glad he didn't have to fight a cheetah for the meet.

"Yeah, but I saw stuff in his ears..." Diamond said back, watching the cheetah.

Dark "Lets just finish eating. I'd rather not think about that creepy cheetah." Shasta pleaded. A shiver went down his spine as he tried to drag his thoughts from it.

"Yeah..." Diamond said, before getting up and grabbing a small piece and swallowing it.

Shasta chewed on the meat silently. when he was full, he got up and padded a little ways away and laid down. Rolling onto his side, he sighed and closed his eyes.

His mother joined him, licking his head and laying by him. "How did the hunt go?" She asked him. Diamond continued eating cautious.

"Fine. Diamond caught a zebra." He said as he pulled his head away. "I'm not a cub anymore." He groaned.

"Sorry, I miss cubs" She said with a chuckle, before smiling. "Well, that is good"
