I honestly don't know what to title this thing , but I need to vent about this
so about 2 weeks ago I ordered a few books, the main reason I even ordered them was for Jaws ( you know , book that started the movie, with the shark 🦈 ) I ordered them from B&N because I had a 5$ off coupon. It shipped , took about 4 days to arrive ( ordered on the 12 , received on the 16th ) I got home seen it had arrived, now I know the weight of books and packaging and this one was VERY LIGHT Not remotely what it should be, my first thought was maybe this box only had the word search book & coloring book in it and I just have to call to get Jaws .
As I look at it once I set it down , I see that I can SEE THOUGH THE SIDES OF THE BOX ! , like i can see the table though the box , so the box is empty! So after struggling to find the customer service number , I get a replacement package sent out on the same day the 16th .........
oh you thought that was the end of the problem? NO ! HERE I AM 9 DAYS LATER WITH NO JAWS BOOK why might you ask ? Because the " REPLACEMENT ORDER " box got damaged and the mail service is currently trying to find the books because they were separated from the box AGAIN!
Don't get me wrong I'm not really mad at the mail service ( as they've been helpful since I reached out to them about this issue yesterday, along with replying to my concerns ASAP ) I'm more upset/mad that it this has basically happened twice ( and it seems like B&Ns packaging department is screwing up )
honestly I don't think it could be worse , I've already accepted the fact that I'm probably going to have call the customer service number again and see if I can just get a refund or something because clearly, them mailing it is not working ( it's not like they are even mailing it UPS or fedex they are just sending it USPS )
if I knew even a single thing about this issue was going to happen when I ordered these books, I honestly would not have ordered them and would have worked out a ride to a store to buy them.
I think what makes this whole situation even worse is that over the past few days my state has had a heat wave and I don't do good in heat ( like give me a blizzard and I'm happy with that) along with me developing a ear infection.
so this whole missing books situation has been made way worse now , because I was already going to snap at some one, then to learn today that they are trying to find the books because the box got damaged again, it just set me off. I snapped at my sister today because of it , my " I've had a bad day drink " are slushys , I've been drinking them since 11 AM.
Now I will admit that I do find 1 thing about this whole thing hilarious, ( jaws movie stuff incoming) during the filming of JAWS there were constant issues with the hydraulic sharks that they didn't think the movie would even be good . Now I'm having constant issues just getting the JAWS book.
that comparison is honestly the only thing keeping me smiling about this whole situation right now lol
