long story short I'm in Michigan ( hello fellow Michiganders ! ) so I enjoy just about any book that takes place in Michigan. Now while I'm an adult I enjoy reading books wrote for younger audiences. They give me a chance to purely enjoy reading the book. Now I love the Michigan/American chillers series , they give me just the right amount of mystery , humor and horror that I love.
now I'm on a trip and we happen to go past Chillermania , so I convinced my folks to turn around because I wanted to stop and get a few books. Oh boy i am glad I did!! I got 5 of his books plus a small word search book ( I love word searchs !!!!) plus the author was there so I got them signed!!! And I got the corresponding trading cards for the books I bought!!!

this whole event was unplanned since I didn't even realize that we were going to be passing chillermania, so that just makes it all the more special to me, since I wasn't expecting it.

now I'm all for going to thrift stores for books but I love getting "new " books for ones that I've read and enjoyed, especially when they are purchased from the author themselves.

so even though it's happened a few hours ago, I'm still that crazy book lady just petting my books in excitement lol
