ADV - Adventure Bike
Weight doesn't really matter at all, as long as you have a little bit of physical ability and balance. Height, however is pretty important. The shorter you are, the harder it will be to find a bike that will fit. The more you have to stand on your tiptoes, the harder it will to handle the bike, but it is possible. If you can't touch the ground at all it is basically impossible to ride.
For literally any bike you can search up the exact weight as well as the seat height. You can measure the inseam of your legs to get an estimate on whether or not you'll fit, but you'll definately sit on the bike before you buy it lol

You said ADV mid weight earlier
How do I find out what the approx weight of a bike is? Also what does ADV stand for?
Does the height/weight of the rider matter?

100%
Especially in the sport bike world, starting on a bike thats too big to handle is a surest way to wreck lol
Or throw away thousands of dollars after you drop a very expensive bike

Ok super intrigued
Sounds like it would be better to start smaller since I'm wet behind the ears
Atleast smaller till I have a notion what I'm doing

Touring bikes weight between 800-1000 lbs
 Faulty Demons
11:45:32 Ollie, Gold
Exactly that, weight. Middleweight ADV's weight between 400-500 lbs, they are easier to control and handle and are more nimble, especially for offroading. Heavyweight ADV's weight between 500-600 lbs. They have more powerful engines, are harder to handle and even harder to pick up if you drop it. However they are more luxurious and comfortable and have more storage

What is the downside/upside of the weights?

I'm afraid my area of expertise is mostly in sport bikes ^^", but if you want to do offroad or adventure kind of stuff I'd recommend looking into ADV bikes, probably middleweight as a beginner. If you want the really big, fancy looking ones then you'd look at Touring bikes, but they are more expensive and very heavy haha
Both are great for long, comfortable rides.

Hello hello! I'm a new artist, and I'm mainly posting this to get criticism/help with my designs/coloring! I started my lines by tracing real life animals, and I've improved a bit. However, still struggling with better lineart (floating wolves, sitting, looking other directions, snarling, muscles, etc.) I'm also struggling bunches with coloring and making the shading look nice, so any app/tool suggestions will also be greatly appreciated!
-
Not that my art will be good at all currently, DO NOT steal any of my pieces. To prevent this from happening, I plan on adding watermarks on the art pieces that isn't erasable without erasing the art itself.
-
As time goes on, I hope to improve and finally be able to actually sell better art with lineart of my own, and hopefully start doing auctions as well. I've been trying for at least a year or two, and I'm not pulling in much business. Which I suspect is happening due to the lines not being my own and the shading.
-
Sit down and relax, enjoy the show! If you decide too, thank you so much!

A piece of line art I've done. Tried to make the wolf stand up, but I struggled most with the facial features, legs, and tail. May try to color this piece later on, haven't decided if I just want to keep it as is or not!

i'd love to see the skeleton for this- it looks pretty good, in my opinion, but how are you blocking out the forms and connecting the limbs? especially the joint of the neck and the head, and that closer foreleg- they look a bit rough

When I first get into it, I add shapes before doing the lining and such. I first drew the rectangular shape for the torso and neck, and then I with the legs I tried to figure it out with the rectangle, then went to circles, and did it with circles instead if that makes sense? I also had some people from a game called Lioden on a discord server walk me threw, such as I showed them the image, they pointed out mistakes and I went in and fixed it all as best as I could!

personally, while rectangles and circles are very prevalent through art tutorials, i like to use beans and tubes :3
for example, beans for the broader shapes, like the torso, shoulders, and upper hind legs, and tubes for the neck, forelegs, and lower hind legs. i find that it has a more organic shape to it

Ah.. gotcha gotcha! I'm still learning and it's a huge work in progress, I actually gave myself a headache while working on that piece.. I'll definitely keep that in mind! I'll try that technique, and then show the results here when I get it finished. I'm currently working on a horse that's rearing in which I'm going to show on Horse Eden, it's my first ever attempt and it's looking a bit wild currently..

I hope so, and yeah.. I've been focusing on realism instead of animated because the people on discord said after you get realism down, it's easier to do animated. So hopefully soon I'll have some animated versions up! Oh yeah, they really are.. especially their muscles, how does people do it..? Ah, good luck! I'm sure they will look good, if you have an art gallery I'll definitely be checking it out and keeping an eye out for it if you post them on here! Thank you so much!

i think they might be a tad mixed up? perhaps by realism they mean the fundamentals, which are, typically, realism. however, if you learn the fundamentals, you'll be able to do anything with them, and push and pull them as you please.
i have no idea 😔 lots and lots of reference?
i do have a gallery! it's linked on my profile ^^ i won't be posting them here as they aren't for WP but there are some other horses in there
you're welcome!
