Song: spy? by WHOKILLEDXIX
(With slight adjustments to better fit the characters)
Characters:
Sol, Kano, Ginny, Nike, Savannah, and Venus
Context:
Okay, this is a lot. Buckle up.
This song doesn't have a concrete timeline or setting, it's more of just brief flashes of the space around Sol that may or may not be accurate, as it's meant to replicate the way that Sol feels and what they see and hear in his head. It's chaotic and unorganized with no clear passage of time. The main topic of the song?
Hallucinations.
With the Neka's, you'll get more concrete details about each one, but here's the overarching idea.
Sol's seen hallucinations of specific people for a very long time. Though most of his hallucinations are scattered and random (sounds, random movements or flickers of light, certain smells, whispers or screams, etc.), he has a small group of people who are almost always around him. Ginny (presenting in her early 20s), Savannah (presenting as about 8), Nike (presenting in his late 20s to early 30s), and Venus (presenting in his early 20s). When Venus first appeared (first full-body hallucination), Sol went to tell their dad who thought that Venus might be the first product of Sol's power. He knew that it was likely that Sol's power had something to do with the dead, so when Sol came forward talking about a tall, demon man, Sol's father explained that what Sol was seeing was probably a spirit of the dead. He told them that the man wasn't a threat, he just came to Sol because Sol was special and able to communicate with him when most others couldn't. Without any other guide, Sol accepted this answer.
It's important to note that hallucinations and the dead really are almost impossible for Sol to differentiate. Both "talk" to him, he can feel both of them, and, when it comes to ages, spirits of the dead return to the appearance that they had when they were in their prime, so it's not necessarily an odd thing for people who have been with Sol for a long period of time not to age.
Also, the spirits of the dead often come to Sol for 1 of 2 reasons. Either they're freshly dead and can't figure out how to fully cross over into the afterlife (thus hovering in the plane between the living and the dead, which is where Sol basically always is thanks to his power... he can only communicate with those who have moved on fully when he's either sleeping or channeling his power intentionally), or they have decided to stay in the in-between to watch over family/friends or simply avoid leaving Earth completely.
That said, spirits of the dead, though they sometimes return to Sol for help moving on or to chat, don't typically stick around for more than a few minutes. The hallucinations do.
Because they are always there, Sol has a hard time recognizing that they aren't simply alive where everyone else can see them. Venus, Nike, and occasionally Ginny (though less so Ginny, she's more of a protector, and Savannah is a "childhood friend") have a tendency to cause severe paranoia in Sol, warning them of things that aren't really there and telling him that certain people are a threat or certain images are signs. Venus in particular is very bad about this, even to the point that Sol has, in fact, tried to kill him to make him stop talking. :)
Okay, now, finally, enjoy!

(Sol sits on a bed, cowering slightly as Venus, Nike, and Ginny all stand around them, watching with various expressions of amusement and annoyance. Savannah sits beside him, watching with worry)
Sol, softly, flinching away: "What do you want from me?"
Venus, snickering: "Why do you run from me?"
Ginny, watching critically: "What are you wondering?"
Nike, leaning on Ginny's shoulder: "What do you know?"
Venus, still mocking: "Why are you scared of me?"
Sol, to Savannah, trying to ignore the others: "Why do you care for me?"
(Sol sits at a table, talking to Kano)
Kano, thoughtfully: "When we all fall asleep, where do we go?"
Venus, lingering in a dark corner of the room, watching Sol carefully: "Come here!"
Kano, noticing Sol's alarm and trying to figure out what's wrong: "Say it, spit it out, what is it exactly? You're payin'? Is the amount cleanin' you out?"
Sol, tapping the table nervously: "Am I satisfactory?"
Sol, continuing as Kano listens carefully: "Today, I'm thinkin' about the things that are deadly. The way I'm drinkin' you down, like I wanna drown. Like I wanna end me."
(Sol's back in a white-washed room and it's completely dark. Next to them, Ginny, Nike, and Venus step out of the shadows. Ginny takes a seat at the end of Sol's bed, Nike stands back and watches, and Venus leans forward to watch Sol's expression closely)
Nike, casually encouraging self-harm: "Step on the glass, staple your tongue."
Venus, smirking as he encourages murder: "Bury a friend!"
Ginny, the only one trying to be helpful: "Just try to wake up."
Nike: "Cannibal class!"
Venus: "Killin' the son!"
Nike: "Bury a friend."
Sol, sobbing and trying to fight the thoughts that come with Venus and Nike's words: "I wanna end me!"
(Sol having a full mental breakdown. A faint outline of a doctor stands over him)
Sol, clawing at his head and face, sobbing: "I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me! I wanna, I wanna, I wanna---"
(Sol sits on a wooden floor, sobbing as his hands are soaked in blood)
Sol: "What do you want from me?!"
Venus, glaring and gesturing toward the door, looking annoyed: "Why don't you run from me?"
Ginny, kneeling in front of Sol, trying to redirect his attention: "What are you wondering?"
Savannah, snapping at Venus: "What do you know?"
Nike, frustrated that Sol is more scared of Venus than him: "Why aren't you scared of me?"
Sol, grabbing onto Ginny's sleeve: "Why do you care for me?"
Sol, squeezing his eyes shut: "When we all fall asleep, where do we go?"
Venus, trying to get Sol's attention again: "Listen!"
Ginny, sighing: "Kept you in the dark, what had you expected?"
(Sol and Kano are making plans for later, Kano has just indirectly asked Sol on a date)
Kano, smiling excitedly: " Make you my art, make you a star, and get you connected! I'll meet you in the park!"
Sol, trying to keep from blushing: "I'll be calm and collected."
(Sol and Kano are fighting and Venus and Nike watch on in amusement. Savannah is nowhere around and Ginny looks angry)
Kano: "We knew right from the start that you'd fall apart 'cause I'm too expensive! Your talk' is somethin' that shouldn't be said out loud!"
Sol, intentionally guilt-tripping Kano: "Honestly, I thought that I would be dead by now."
Venus, mockingly nodding toward Ginny who moves to Sol's side, glaring at Kano: "Callin' security?"
Sol, continuing to guilt-trip: "Kept my head held down!"
Ginny, pointing at Kano angrily: "Bury the hatchet or bury your friend right now!"
(Sol, half-asleep, overwhelmed as the spirits of the dead swarm to them. Ginny, Nike, and Venus add to the chaos)
Sol: "For the debt I owe, gotta sell my soul, 'cause I can't say no, no, I can't say no! Then my limbs all froze, and my eyes won't close, and I can't say no, I can't say no!"
Ginny: "Careful."
Venus, snickering: "Step on the glass, staple your tongue!"
Nike: "Bury a friend!"
Ginny: "Try to wake up!"
Venus: "Cannibal class, killin' the son!"
Sol: "I wanna end me."
(Sol, breaking down after meeting the spirit of a 5-year-old child who was just murdered and struggling to move on from Earth, searching for her family)
Sol: "I wanna end me! I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me!
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna–"
(Sol starts repeating the "conversations" that he's had with Ginny, Savannah, Venus, and Nike, showing his continually decreasing mental health)
Sol, alone in a dark room, watching the corners suspiciously: "What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me? What are you wondering? What do you know? Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?"
Sol, sighing and closing their eyes, accepting the panic that comes with sleep: "When we all fall asleep, where do we go?"
