So how would the check-ins and sending messages through the magic jewelry work anyways? Is it emotion based, telepathy based, or something else entirely? How much control do they have over what's sent over?

Most of the time it's like a very, very advanced apple watch. A lot of the messages come through holograms, but, say you were calling, in that case it's more telepathic. You hear the other person in your head and can respond by saying something quietly out loud, which they'll hear in their head. The items don't transfer all of your thoughts (unless you're being watched by a potential threat, in that case, it will pick up your thoughts), just the things you say out loud, but you do have to be careful, because it will pick up even the quietest whisper. You have a lot of control Here, this explains their functionality pretty well: - The basic things that you need to know are; if you ever need help for any reason, to can press the charm on your piece twice and it will immediately alert the rest of the group of your location. If you press the charm three times, you can send your location to the whole group or specific member and you will be placed into contact with them, similar to a standard phone call, and, finally, if you press the charm once, it will assess your vitals and determine what help you need, if any. That information will be sent directly to Gorōta, our healing holder, and me, along with your location. It's a quick and effective way to communicate without taking extra time or looking suspicious. That said, your specific piece will only answer to you, once you claim it, no one else's touch will give a response. It's not obvious to anyone that might be watching, as it picks up and communicates with you and the rest of the group based on brain waves and trains of thought. If someone sets off an emergency call for help, you'll hear a higher-pitched beeping in your head three to five times, and, if everything works properly, you should instinctively know where to go to get to the person in need. - The only thing not mentioned is that Horatio does have a way to get your location through the jewelry if he finds it necessary, even if the owner of the jewelry hasn't sent it themselves or given permission. He doesn't use this function very often, but if he feels something is wrong, he can get to it.

Amazing, amazing- So, two more questions but I probably know the answer to one of them. - Aries probably wouldn't be able to tell Horatio ahead of time, so he'd basically just be disappearing off the face of the Earth. What would happen in that scenario? - Second question, once they're wearing it. Is it possible to take it off? And can only they take it off or could others take it off?

Uhhh, well, Tio's going into full panicky father mode and tracking Aries. So, that'd probably result in him finding the arena and doing everything in his power to get Aries out safely... Aka all hell breaks loose because emotions are a big power trigger and Horatio's already got minor control of time speed (slowing down and speeding up). However, because it's not fully developed, Horatio will probably end up completely draining himself by the time he manages to get himself and Aries out, aka we probably need Gorōta, like now, please. Oh, and he has insight on some of Aries's trauma now, so that's great too. Very fun, overall :) - It is possible to take it off, but you can't fully disconnect from it, if that makes sense. Basically, even if it's off, it's still attached to you so that it's impossible for you to lose it. Example: you take off the jewelry and set it down on your night stand when you go to bed, but you forget it in the morning. The jewelry will tug ever so slightly on your mind to guide you back to it, and it knows where you are for the same reason. Since Tio has access to all the jewelry all the time, he also knows where you are through the same tracking system. The only time when you can fully disconnect from the jewelry is if it's completely destroyed, which is hard to do, but possible. You'd just need a shit ton of force. As for other people taking it off? It's possible, yes. Other people can't destroy it though, nor can they use it. It's still connected to you, and only you. - Does this help?

All it does help, yeah! - How long would it take for Tio to start tracking him down? And how quickly do you think he'd be able to get there by? - That jewelry bit is great. Chances are, depending on the punishment and the type of jewelry that Aries gets, the jewelry would be taken off and given to Mr/Mrs Cattell.

He'd probably notice relatively quickly, but I'd say it'd take an hour or so for him to get worried and start tracking. Tracking is very fast, it's literally just a push of a button for Horatio, but, depending on how far away the arena is, it'd probably take him fifteen to thirty minutes to get there. - Oh, wonderful, well, lucky they have extra jewelry, so Aries can just replace it if necessary. Once he finds with a different piece of jewelry, the other just shuts itself down and becomes regular jewelry, lol

Alright, and what would the entire thing be like anyways? I'd assume that Aries went to see his 'guardians' and ended up visiting the arena. Or he went straight to the arena, since that also might've happened. So if he went straight to the arena, how long would the visit be able to last before Horatio decided he'd been gone for too long? - Fun, fun. So chances are that Horatio will just have him pick out new jewelry so that they don't have to deal with even more stuff while trying to get the jewelry back.

As in he told Horatio he was going to visit his 'guardians?' Well, he'll probably check in every hour, but if he's assuming that Aries is busy visiting, probably three hours before he got actually worried. Potentially another hour if Mira's able to soothe him, but that's the most he'll let it go, lol - Haha, yeah. There's a reason Juno (with some help from Fher) made way more than necessary, lmao

So, if we assume that Aries didn't answer any checking in and Mira wasn't able to soothe him, then four and a half hours would be the max, and then Aries is getting broken out. Right? - Beautiful, and definitely smart.

Yep! That's about right! - Yeahhh, mostly thanks to Fher. Dude has experience with everyone breaking stuff and losing jewelry. His judgement holder lost their fucking necklace like once a month- XD
