The offspring of a red hued feminine, and a jet black brute, blindely crawled around on the small rocky cave floor. A small, sturdy, healthy ball of fluff he was. Approximately, his little sister, a puny, tiny, boney arrived an hour later. The small male, would cuddle next to his oddly puny sibling, for warmth. His mothers warm body could not be found. The blind pup could not see. He stayed, cuddled next to his sibling, for almost four days. By the fifth day, a wolf returned. It was the pups sire. He had returned to meet his offspring for the first time. It came to his attention that there was no traceable sign of the dam. He soon realized, she had abandonded them. The male pup, shared his fathers genes, both showing the favored birth defect, Melanism. The other pup, however, was the color of a red husky. The male nosed her. But she didn't move. The puny pup was deceased. The male picked up the remaining pup, and carried him to his pack. Quickly the pup was accepted. For a year, the pups sire's pack cared for him, nursing from another mother, and guarded by his sire. Arrow, the sire of the buff pup, decided to name his son, Abys. He named his pup after an abyss, matching the pups jet black coat. A year later, Abys was able to leave. He bonded dearly with his sire, Arrow, but it was time for him to go on his way. He left, and found a pack of his own, earning the title of Beta Male. He kept his fathers promise, and is passing on his genes, in honor of his faithful sire.
