Deirdre was a remarkably unremarkable wolf at her birth, the second to last pup of a large litter. Her birth pack was one from a distant land. With so many other mouths to feed, her parents encouraged her to leave the pack as soon as she could, and Deirdre did just that. She wandered for many years, occasionally taking a mate, and only settling down to have her pups before moving on again. It wasn't until much later that she met Niklas, the one male who could capture her heart completely. From the moment she saw him she was in love, and she was graciously accepted into his pack. He kept his royalty from her a secret, and instead courted her as though he were a common wolf. Niklas often brought her roses and other treats. After Deirdre had become comfortable in the Kingdom, Niklas asked to be her mate. It was only then that he revealed that he was a King. Thus, Deirdre's lonely, wandering life came to an end, and a happier, beautiful wolf took her place. Queen Deirdre and Niklas were ordered by all, and many who saw them together agreed they were meant to be.

Deirdre has always been resourceful, a skill she learned from an early age. She has learned to live on very little and thus does not take the many things she gets as Queen for granted. She is compassionate, especially towards pups, whom she feels are all her own. Though never ambitious or cruel, Deirdre was never meant to be anything but a wonderful Queen of the Kingdom. She is an excellent mate to Niklas, balancing him perfectly. She sincerest hope is for continued peace and prosperity for the Kingdom though she's not sure she could fight to keep it that way.
