"My daughter," Alistair said, watching her with his aged, proud eyes. The pup between his forepaws played with a tuft of his ochre chest fur. He lowered his head to press his nose against her red-marred face, giving her a gentle, paternal nuzzle. Khiana yipped, playfully biting his lower chin and snagged one of her sharp teeth on his skin. The little drag was enough to draw open a small cut. A droplet of blood fell onto her chest, which Alistair quickly wiped away with a chuckle. "You are passionate, my girl! You will one day rule them all."

Her claws sifted through the dirt, racking against the cold, unyeilded ground. Her breath exhaled from her lips in a spiral of fog, vanishing away as quickly as it was released. Her topaz golden irises faded to red, then.
She opened her maw, fangs exposing from her sneer. "My allies," she addressed her minions, the murky black shadows that stood before her. "Tonight, we will take what is ours!" She called, turning her head Northward. Her command was theirs to follow, and immediately, the shadows lurched forward as fast as the wind could carry them. The Enchanter watched as the shadows began to take form; the shadows took the shapes of entirely pitch black wolves, and they ran soundlessly onward through the trees and flew over the creeks. She herself began to levitate, watching them delve into the ruins with ease. She closed her eyes and was able to see what they saw; the cracks and walls of the rubble they darted through were impossible for a mortal to complete. The shadows broke apart and reconstructed, delving deeper and deeper into the maze they weaved through. And then, finally before them, was what she had longed to see.
