Biography Misunderstood. The one word that seems to explain Edurins life the best, as no matter the perspective she is seen through, the lens of anothers eyes always catches something wrong or incorrect. Seen as a cold, stern, and haughty fae, there are few in the royal court that can even tolerate her, let alone become friends with this distant and often rather prideful she-wolf. She just seems to be so impenetrable, so cold, so distant.
However, things weren't always this way. Bold, adventurous, and outgoing were words often used to describe the fun-loving pup that Edurin was a long time ago. She was a very opinionated one and was always the leader of her two sisters, Thuras and Tine, when they did things together. Chara was immensely proud of her daughter and heir to the throne, as Edurin had all the courage, ruthlessness, beauty, and true intelligence of a born leader and everyone knew it. Excelling beyond the other pups in everything she did, the entire pack watched with excitement as the young princess grew into a stunning juvenile, then a graceful adult. She was simply perfect and adored by everyone near and far. Edurin, naturally prideful as she was, soaked up the attention like a sponge, basking in the praise of her elders, the admiration of the adults, and the jealousy of her peers. Everything seemed so perfect, Edurin was a wolf that had everything going for her. Surely, surely there was nothing that could go wrong?
But there was.
Just like her mother, and her mother's mother before that, Edurin had to learn the painful lesson of love. His name was Kenna, and he was a beautifully handsome ambassador from the east with a silky gold and red coat that shone like the sun. His eyes were a rare vivid green in color, charming and graceful with smooth words that could stop a hurricane in its tracks. Edurin fell for him at first sight, and she was overjoyed to find that he shared the love she had for him. The pair of young lovers felt like they were in a fairy tale, and they spent every spare moment together. Edurin, of course, said nothing to her parents yet, eager to surprise them when she and Kenna became mates. It was all so perfect, Edurin figured that no harm could result in delaying the joyful news.
However, an ominous sign greeted her on her way home from being with Kenna one night.
As she was walking home to her den, a pure-white fae stepped out of the shadows, coming face to face with Edurin, fangs glittering in the moonlight. She held a dominant stance, and Edurin growled as she stopped, then glared at her.
'Be careful,' the she-wolf snarled. 'If I can't have him, then nobody shall.' Stunned, Edurin halted.
'What?!?' She snarled, whipping around. But the she-wolf was gone, only a menacing voice carried over the leaves to remind Edurin of her ominous presence.
'Beware. Beware.'
Edurin was still, though she knew that she had to go home or face trouble. She said nothing of the threat as she had not even told her parents about Kenna yet, dismissing the fae as some mentally disturbed wolf that didn't know what she was saying. Or, it was a dream, even though she already knew it was not. But.. everything would surely be fine, and she could talk to Kenna in the morning.
And ever after, Edurin would regret that decision.
Kennas lifeless body was discovered the next sunrise, and the fae that Edurin had seen the night before had completely vanished. All were puzzled, but Edurin knew what had happened even though she never breathed a word of it to another. Her precious Kenna was gone, and it was All. Her. Fault.
Things were never the same after that. Edurins family heard about the dead wolf and the queen launched a search for who had committed the crime, but the evidence was nowhere to be found and they never connected the dots to the young Princess as his lover. According to her, it was better that they never knew, but the secret was hard to keep through the horrible grief and depression that followed Kennas death. Eventually, Edurin learned to control these emotions, but as a result, her happiness and general openness around others faded, then seemed to disappear altogether. Though she was young, Edurin now had the look of one far older than she, and anyone, even her family, that tried to ask what was wrong got nothing but monosyllabic or snappy replies. She simply could not face others about what she'd done, how shed let Kenna die by her own ignorance.
When she found out that she was going to have pups, Edurin felt all the emotions coming back so hard it nearly choked her. Anger, frustration, hurt, fear, bitterness, resentment, sadness, grief.

| Personality Edurin, the granddaughter of the mighty Queen Irafel and courageous Aryon, and daughter of the brilliant Princess Chara. Long ago she was much like them; bold as a lion, fierce as a bear, merciless as an eagle, and wise as an owl. Elders bowed to her formidable will, and friends and enemies alike looked with jealousy upon her intelligent, beautiful features. She was a terror to the pack much like her great-aunt Valmara once was, a born leader that did things her way and her way alone. Today, she is much the same, though at the time vastly different. The reckless passion that once sparked in her eyes is gone, and while she is as fierce as ever, all happiness and openness has vanished from her blue fire gaze, replaced only with a cold and icy stare. She is a terror of a much different nature now, and few dare to oppose her sharp tongue and harsh words.

Special Skills But no. She could not hate or resent her offspring; they would be the next heirs to the throne whether she liked it or not. Besides, they were Kennas pups too, and this was a last way that she could honor him. She would raise them to be like him, like her courageous Kenna, and through them she would have a tie to her loved one. Edurin would not do what Irafel did, pushing her Chara away simply because she looked like Aryon. No, she would draw them all the closer for it. When Chara found out that her daughter was pregnant and asked who the father was, Edurin told her bluntly that she didnt know, and that was the end of it. Edurin had two daughters, Maeveri and Rivas, and both were the spitting image of their father. She loved them both but was it soon became obvious that Rivas was her favorite daughter. Maeveri was often left out and rather starved for attention, but Tine eventually took her in and she considered her a mother instead. Edurin couldn't have cared in the slightest, turning her focus on Rivas completely determined to make her just like her father to honor him. Neither daughter knows who their father is, but Edurin could not bear to tell them, instead inspiring them of stories of ambassadors from the east. Nobody caught the hint, much to Edurins relief, and through these stories, she grew all the closer to Rivas. In this way, some say that the heart of the haughty princess was softened, though others proclaim that it only hardened it more.
And as with most stories, no one can ever truly know.
