Biography 'She looks so much like her father.'
Growing up, Chara quickly had to get used to hearing that, because she heart it a lot . Out of all the daughters of Aryon, it was she who looked the most like him. Her sister, Lairas, took more after her mother. Her half-sister, Atalanta, looked like Valmara. And she? Chara had the great misfortune to look like her deceased father. At first, she felt angry about it--why did others judge her for something that she had no control over? Surely this wasnt right? This wasnt fair? After all, she was the Crown Princess, whether the pack liked it or not. Her looks had no influence on her rank. To others, though, that didnt seem to matter. Though she was beautiful, others always looked away, ever hiding the tears or the shameful looks because she appeared so much like Aryon, the father she never knew or would know.
'So much like Aryon.'
And she carried it like a curse. Her own mother, Irafel couldnt bear to spend time with her for the many painful memories that it brought her. Those blue eyes, that light coat! It all spun around to bring her back to that fateful morning when she had let Aryon go, assuming that he would come back. Of course, he never came back, killed during the hunt when a caribou hoof struck him in the skull. Though she herself knew it wasnt Charas fault she looked like her father, the pain of the memories was just too great--the queen always held her daughter at arms length. Valmara did the same--though she was often accused of killing Aryon she couldnt bear to look at Chara either. Some said that it reminded the High Princess of what shed done, and that was why, but of course no one knew. Even her own sister, Lairas, seemed to reject her. The two fought fiercely, more fiercely than it was remembered Irafel and Valmara even had. But, unlike their mother and aunt, the two never grew close. Lairas was far more jealous of Chara than Valrama had ever been of Irafel, and Chara was even more jealous of Lairas because she didnt look like Aryon. The two would never be friends.
'Of course I look like my father! You got a problem with that?'
But of course, time marched on, and pups became adult wolves, Chara among them. She began to see her look-alike appearance in a different light, now vowing to treat all her pups fairly, no matter what. She would love them without judging them. She would not make the same mistakes her mother made, because she knew how it felt to have to grow up alone. Either way, however, she was to be the Queen, and began to act like one. She demanded that others look at her when they spoke to her, she was kind to friends and vicious to enemies. She hunted ferociously, fought fiercely, and loved unconditionally, and others began to finally see her for what she was, not what she looked like. She had four daughters, more than anyone in the royal family had ever had before, and did her best to raise them. Her mate was a fine wolf, a handsome ambassador from down south named Jessel. His coat, a fiery red color, was so unlike any ever seen in Irafels kingdom before, who only experienced black or gray pelt hues. The two loved each other deeply, some said even more than Irafel had loved Aryon, but Jessel eventually had to leave. He had a duty to his own kingdom, and soon was forced to move on without his love. Chara sent their youngest daughter, Vellah, with him to remind him of her.
'You look like your father too.'
Neither were ever seen again. Chara still believes that they are alive and well, though her mother is almost certain that both have died. Neither brought up the subject with the other, as both had more going on. Lairas, for one, had just left the Solas Bron pack. So many miscarriages had led her to treat her only living daughter like an idol, and when she ran away she could no longer bear to stay. She claimed that it was because of Chara that she left, accusing her sister of having everything while she dwelled with nothing and running off in the night, never to turn back. Irafel was devastated, as everyone knew how close she had been to Lairas. The Queen soon fell into a deep depression, one that no one seemed able to pull her from, and did everything as if separated far from the world. Her eyes grew dull, her coat lost its shine, and she became ragged and thin, unable to eat. Valmara wasnt sure what to do, as their usual sisterly bond did nothing to revive her. Maeveri, who had been a very close friend to Irafel for a long time by then and had also experienced no luck, brought the matter to Chara. At first, Irafels daughter was incredulous, and rightly so. If she reminded her mother so much of her dead mate, then how was she to help the Queen out of her deep depression? But, Maeveri persisted, and at last Chara agreed just to amuse her.
'My father would have tried.'

| Personality The results turned out to be more than surprising. Irafel allowed her eldest daughter into her den for the first time that Chara could remember, not making excuses about being busy as her mother always had to keep Aryons look-alike at arms length. The two talked for a long time about life, about siblings, about Aryon, and of course, about Lairas. Chara did what she could and felt like she didnt do much...but several hours later when the two finally parted, Irafel quietly stated that life seemed a little bit brighter, and thanked Chara for coming. The two havent spoken for quite some time since then, but it seems like things are looking up again for Irafels pack. She later heard from Maeveri that Irafel had told her that her eldest daughter had cheered her up just like Aryon would have, and instead of feeling upset like she might have a long time ago, Chara couldnt have been more proud.
'Of course Im just like my father.'
-------------------------------------------------------------- Chara is a quiet, studious, and level-headed one, commonly the wolf turned too when the lives of others go awry. Shes a good listener and cares deeply about others, always trying to improve their lives in any way she can while still staying out of trouble to the best of her abilities. Sometimes she can go a bit too far and might recklessly find herself in deep trouble because she made a promise that she cant keep, but she tries her hardest at everything she does and it doesnt happen too often. She always seems to be busy and is very complex, but still tries to take the time to appreciate simple and calm things/activities as well, though shes often so caught up in her work and ideas that its hard to back down or quit. Not to mention that she hates to back down from a challenge, as shes very stubborn like her mother and doesnt change her mind once shes made it. Chara is very kind to others and careful in what she does, but still tries to leave others
