Blue's Character: Name: Apelios Solario Nickname: Lio / Leo Gender: Male Age: 18 - close to graduating but hadn't yet. Species: Half-dragon shifter. Appearance: Apelios stands about 5'10" and weighs a good 140 lbs. which isn't great but it's not too bad either. His skin is more of a tan color, accenting his light hair. His ruby red eyes glitter with thoughts and emotions, but he usually wears a thoughtful expression (or a spaced / lost in thought look). His shifted form is the same height, but he has no hands. Golden scales wrap around his back and shoulders, wings replacing what used to be his arms. A long tail also wraps out from his back. Leo's right leg is replaced at the knee below with a prosthetic he engineered himself. His leg was malformed at birth and for safety / comfort, it was removed. Image: (c)85543 - me. 
Personality: Leo has a rather interesting personality. He's outgoing and sturdy, full of constant thoughts and lots of emotions. He's strongly opinionated on lots of things but often doesn't think through decisions. He's... very reckless to say the least. Reckless and surprisingly lazy, which is why he still wears the same shoe in both forms. Because he's too lazy to take it off. He's inventive and creative, clever but reckless and has no actual self-preservation in his entire body. He tends to open his mouth at all the wrong times and, although witty with his remarks, often gets in trouble because of it. Leo does care about those around him, when he gets to know them. He really does care but he just isn't sure how to show it. Other: Leo's abilities are rather relaxed. He glows. All the time. You just can't see it in the light. He's naturally resistant to heat. However, once the sun goes down, he's done. He's exhausted and he wants nothing more than just to sleep. Yeah. Apelios! :D |

Standing at about 5'8, Ayesha is a decent height for her age. She is slender yet muscular, and her skin is rougher than most girls. She likes to dye her hair, and at the moment it is a sort of strawberry pink that goes down to just below her chest. Most often than not, it is tied up in a ponytail. While she has thin lips, and brilliant blue eyes. Her jawline isn't exactly sharp, but isn't exactly round, it's something in between. Ayesha likes to wear dark colored clothes, and or clothes that are her favorite color, blue.
Dragon
In dragon form she is a large beautiful beast; standing at about 7 feet tall, about 5 feet wide, and when her wings are fully spread her wingspan is about 19 feet. Her claws and horns are a midnight black which at night make it look like she doesn't have any. Which Ayesha finds amusing. While her scales, head, neck, tail, spikes, wing carpus, and wing radius are all a dark red. Her underbelly, chest, and wing membrane are a brilliant red. Ayesha's eyes are a brilliant blue that pop out against her red colored body. ImageHuman(I know, it looks really bad.  PersonalityAyesha is a sweet girl, who loves to chat with friends and family. In fact her friends and family often find it hard to shut her up! But yet she is a very loyal and trustworthy person, and very defense of her family and her friends. However Ayesha does have quite the temper, and can be very harsh and rude. Luckily it does take a lot(Or simply insult/threaten Ayesha's friends or/and family) to trigger the temper. But for the most part, Ayesha is a very sweet girl. Ayesha loves to pull pranks, and tell jokes even if some are old or stupid! If she can't make someone laugh, she takes that as a challenge and will do anything she can to make someone laugh! She is quite energetic so sometimes she has to shift and go fly to burn off some energy. OtherAsh is exactly 50% British and 50% Scottish, with the ability to speak English and Scottish Gaelic. She can also do a pretty good Scottish and British accent! This young weredragon isn't afraid to say whatever is on her mind, and yes it has gotten her in trouble, but not as much trouble as you would think! While she is a pretty strong flyer, she does have plently of strengths weaknesses. StrengthsFire breathing, naturally resistant to fire, enhanced senses, strong scales, and can sort of manipulate the wind with her wings WeaknessesHer underbelly is the only part of her that isn't really covered in scales, she also is weak to frost because it can counter her fire. While any sword dipped in dragon blood(The fresher the stronger) can pierce even her strong scales. |

Rushing. Rushing to get to the school and yet at the same time, trying to be slow enough that he didn't jostle too much out of place in his backpack--late, late late. Well, he wasn't going to be particularly late, it was... the whole; to be early is to be on time. To be on time is to be late. And to be late...? Is to be left. He was bordering the on time and not the early. Leo definitely wasn't a fan of that. At all. He took a few steps forward, shifting and sweeping his wings downward with a powerful swoop. Sure, he technically wasn't allowed to fly outside of school boundaries but today warranted a little rule breaking. The young man stumbled just outside the gates of the school, shifting back again and racing forward as the first bell rang. His heart was racing, in his chest. But he wasn't late yet. He ignored his locker entirely, walking as fast as he dared, before sitting with a flurry of movement in the gym for his first class. Team Sports. A relatively fun class with a mixed roster between girls and boys, it was something to do in the early morning and helped the blood get flowing. The students trickled in, taking their seat on the bleachers and benches around the gym floor. Idle chatter began to fill the gym as they waited for the second bell to finish ringing. And then went to go and get changed.
Afterwards, the coach took attendance. That was just how he wanted to do things. Leo was simply happy he had made it to the class without being late. When he had overslept, missing his alarm, he was worried it wouldn't have been great and his perfect attendance--well, no tardiness or late slips--would've been ruined. He had missed a few days here and there, but that was expected when one did extracurricular activities. |

The early bird gets the worm, and the late bird doesn't get to eat
The young weredragon thought to herself again and again, those were the words her parents use to drill into her again and again. Be on time, and never be late, in fact get there early. Which was why, she had started off towards school just before the sun had begun to rise. Now she was strolling towards school, it was a ten minute walk from her house to the school. But she didn't mind, Ayesha loved nature and the outdoors very very much. Ayesha could see the school roof looming up, and her pace quickened just a hint. Because once within the boundaries, she wouldn't have to worry about if something would trigger her shift.
She slips into the school courtyard where teachers, faculty, and administration were pulling in and heading inside. Ayesha smiles slightly as she heads for one of the large oak trees in the schoolyard, before scaling it until the young weredragon was sitting in the lower branches of it. Hidden by the leaves to anyone, unless they stood directly below her and looked up. Ayesha leans back against the base of the tree, as she watches the sun rise through the leaves. Slowly but surely like a trickle, students filtering in.
Finally about two minutes before the bell was about to ring, Ayesha gathers her things and gently drops to the ground. Her knees bending to absorb impact, before Ayesha straightens up. Her first class was Team Sports, even though her guardian had forbade her from playing. Though the school had reluctantly taken the permission slip, they had refused to give her another class, saying all the other ones were full. So Ayesha was stuck sitting in the bleachers and watching others have fun. But Ayesha didn't mind, it was like a study hour for her. Time for her to catch up on any work she forgot or didn't have time for.
"Ash!"
She looks up to see her best friend, Tanner McBeck, a Warlock son of a Witch and normal male human, who was also very interested in other males "Yes Tanner?" Ayesha asks as she slows her pace for her friend. The two heading for their lockers, which were side by side. Tanner grins,"How early were you here this morning?" Ayesha rolls her eyes half amused,"Early enough Tanner, let's go to Team Sports." Another cocky grin was flashed her way, and the two were off to Team Sports.
Once there, the two split, one headed for the changing rooms and the other headed for the top bleachers where she was usually hidden. As she weaves through the crowd, Ayesha finally makes it to the top, where she tucks herself into a darkish corner. She didn't like it when people asked her why she didn't participate in Team Sports or just change her first hour. Her guardian had specified not to tell, and so Ayesha listened.

Apelios could never understand the students who would rather let their grades drop than just participate in the class. Even just standing and lightly participating would get you more points than just sitting around. But who was he to try and judge those around him? Granted, the injured kids... that was a bit obvious. They couldn't because they were injured. Leo turned to the other kids, happy to play around with the new sport they were learning. It wasn't exactly the most popular but he wasn't one to argue when it was fun to play. Leo also didn't exactly remember what it was called. Memory was a little iffy for him, when it came to school things. He shook his head a couple times, tossing blond hair. The young man was eager to play around, just have fun. Four minutes.
The class hurried back to the locker rooms and mulled about the classroom doors afterwards. Three minutes.
Leo glanced around, finally taking a few steps back. He hung around the back of the crowd, somewhat nearby a young woman with light hair and icy eyes. She wore... all black but it wasn't out of place, especially with some of the vampire kids. Leo frowned, digging through his backpack trying to find his earbuds and make sure everything was in his backpack that he needed until lunch. Lunch. He was already hungry. What was for lunch? He paused in his digging to think about it for a long moment before shrugging. He'd check as he went to class. Rumble Leo paused, his arm still in his pack. Half the class had also paused and glanced up around as the school building shuddered. An earpiercing sound shook the school, dust fell and cracks appearing around the walls. A few of the students cried out and looked toward the teacher in panic. Apelios's head whipped up lightly, zipping his backpack up and taking a few steps back. His ruby red eyes scanned along the ceiling before he let out a sharp breath. "Oh goodness," he whispered, looking toward the young woman. "Look out!"
Another rumble and the entire ceiling began collapsing in on itself. Apelios didn't exactly have a nice running gait, but he didn't hesitate to drag her after him as he ducked under the bleachers and sheilded the young woman, shifting and curling wings over his body and head. Screams rang out as concrete and stone rained down on the students below, sending dust spraying upwards as metal screeched. A terrible roar bellowed through the school hallways. Apelios let out a small noise, sinking lower to the ground. |

The finished book was tucked away into her bag as soon as she finished it. The young weredragon lifting her head in time to see the last few groups emerging from the changing rooms. The bell was going to ring at any moment, and so Ayesha makes her way down quickly. Landing down by a tallish tan-skinned boy with light hair and ruby red eyes. Her blue gaze flickers around, looking for Tanner. Yet her friend was hidden among the others, and with a soft chuckle she shakes her head. Tanner was probably flirting and trying to get girls numbers. After all, new kids came in all the time once they realized their powers.
Rumble
Her sharp hearing picked up on a strange noise even over the loud shouting and talking of the others. A frown crosses her face as she opens her mouth to yell for the teacher. That's when all hell broke loose. A earpiercing sound interrupted all conversation and it was pure silence for about two seconds. Then Ayesha's sharp eyes could pick out the cracks spreading across the celing. Her mouth opens,"R-" To late and the ceiling collapses, large chunks falling down. Instinct kicked in, but before she could move. She was tackled to the ground.
Thump
Her sharp hearing heard everything; cries of pain, screaming, then pure silence. She didn't even care that some stranger was shielding her. "No...." She whispers under her breath. Ayesha squeezes her eyes shut, did Tanner survive that? As soon as she felt safe, she wanted to wriggle out and see what had happened. But she didn't, that roof didn't just collapse for no reason. Someone had attacked the school, meaning she would have to play dead. So despite her instinct, and her urge to shift and fly away.

((Ahahahaaaa work has me like; ded)) As the woman stilled beneath him, Apelios opened his eyes in absolute terror. Afraid, entirely, that he had somehow killed her or at least hurt her. Another ear-shattering bellow tore through the stilled air, the rumble and creaking of metal and concrete as it stilled drowned out in the bellow.
Apelios risked one quick peak from behind the ruined bleachers. A dark beast, with four arms, six legs, scales and a shadow mist drooling from it's terrible jaws. He ducked back behind the bleachers and took in a deep breath.
oh this was fine. No it was absolutely not fine. Apelios glanced down again toward the young woman and swallowed, stepping back carefully with his wings lowering at his sides.
"Are you alright?" He prompted quietly, taking in a slow and careful breath. There was dust hanging in the air and he knew that wouldn't be good for the lungs, no matter who you were. "Miss?" He prompted again, with a quieter voice. Apelios was absolutely terrified that he was the only one not hurt in some degree. Well, the bleeding gash along his forehead and his shoulder said otherwise but at the moment he couldn't feel it. He was focused. And in shock. |

(Understandable, school has been dead, XD)
At the loud bellow, Ayesha shifted so she could see. But she couldn't see past the bleachers. Thankfully her sharp vision could see through little cracks of the debris, spotting some kind of hideous beast. Oh my. That beast just confirmed what had been lingering on her mind since she first saw the cracks. It hadn't been a freak accident, something and someone had purposely attacked them. But why? For the most part, if not all part, the School for the Extraordinary was invisble to humans and pretty docile to other extraordinary. "Oh god, Tanner." She mumbles under her breath to herself.
Ayesha just wished that it had been quick and painless for all those who died, and that no one was slowly dying. She jerks her head up as the boy who saved her began to speak. "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm doing just fine. A little shocked, a little tramituzed, and a little mournful. But perfectly fine." She rolls her shoulders making sure that her words were true. Then the weredragon goes to stand up, her head spinning, not from any kind of hurt but from anger. Pure anger, the kind of thing that was the reason she had been forbiddened from playing sports.
Keep it calm, don't want to give away any signs of survivors
She thinks to herself, before focusing on the boy. "Thank you for saving me." She murmurs, truly grateful. Even if she didn't have a reason to live, well not one that she had found yet. She was pretty much completely underinjuried, being tackled and covered by what she assumed were wings, had saved her from getting injuried. Of course her clothes were all dusty and a bit ripped from hitting the ground and being dragged behind the bleachers. But she didn't care. |

Apelios hardly heard the response from the young woman, his ruby red eyes watching the beast soar off into the distance. As everything settled and silence began to take its reign over the ruins of the school, the realization of what had happened was starting to set in. The silence was eerie and unnerving but also telling. Either there were no other survivors--or they hadn't survived and they were dead as well--or what few survivors there were... hadn't made any noise at all. Apelios carefully slid out of the wreckage, his tail swinging for balance as he fought to push through some of the other concrete barriers. His prosthetic foot pried mangled bars out of place, careful but precise. It was no silent endeavor either. "Hello?" He called out, almost desperate to hear some semblance of an answer return to him. "Anyone there?" |
