It seems unfair that if you challenge someone in leaves, you get to see what leaves they put down, but if you get challenged you're just in the dark on it?

I retired my alpha female and my alpha male automatically pair bonded to one of my females. Which surpised me as she has if not the lowest dominance in my pack and also I assumed I would have to breed another wolf to my alpha male for them to become pair bonded. I believe the reason why she became alpha was because she was the only unbred female that wasn't a pup. But I plan to breed her to studs in the future; is there a way I can break pair bonding without retiring my male? Also for furture reference in general how exactly will I know who get selected as alpha?
Edit: Minor spelling mistakes will be the death of me...
oh my god edit again shes actually my most dominant female I-

the most dominant wolves become alphas. if you want to replace her you need to have a female with more dominance than her.

You can also make her an elder if she is older than 6 which removes her from alpha and keeps her dominance while also being able to breed her to outside Wolves
