Character Description

Biography
One full moon night, a she-wolf lay concealed in her den, releasing howls of pain. Her mate stood beside her, face contorted with worry. The she-wolf was expecting her first litter. The two lone parents had decided to settle down together and form a pack together, and now, the first new additions were being brought into the world.

By dawn, the she-wolf had given birth to two beautiful pups; a female and a male. The she-pup was absolutely stunning; she was so gorgeous with all of her complex markings. The new parents couldn't have been more pleased.

The following night, the she-wolf was curled asleep in the cave which they used as a den, with her two pups by her side. The father had left to go on a hunting expedition, and wouldn't return until sometime the next day.

Suddenly, the she-wolf jolted awake. At first, she wasn't sure what had woken her; but then she felt it. The earth gave a tremendous tremor, and she felt the entire ground shake beneath her paws. It was an earthquake. The she-wolf quickly picked both of the pups up and stumbled towards the mouth of the cave-den, desperately trying to reach open air, where they'd be safe from the cave collapsing. Just as she reached the entrance, the ground shook even harder, and she gasped in pain as a large boulder fell from the roof of the cave, pinning her to the floor as the boulder rested on her broken hips. She could tell that more boulders were about to follow, and quickly.

She grabbed the female pup by the scruff and flung her the last few feet to safety. Just as she bent down to grab her son next, the roof of the cave gave way, falling and crushing the mother and son beneath it's debris.

The earthquake stopped soon after. The female pup lay there, alone for the remainder of the night and all through the next day. Her father never returned; no one knows what happened to him, but perhaps he, too was taken by the earthquake. The she-pup lay alone for days. If she wasn't found soon, starvation would surely claim the young orphan pup.

However, the next morning, a stroke of luck came upon the pup; it truly was a miracle, for a mother she-wolf just happened to be passing by with her pups. The she-pup lifted her head feebly as they approached, releasing quiet, barely audible whines. As they grew nearer, she attempted to speak. "Help..." she tried, but it came out as a whine. The she-wolf didn't hear her. She tried again. "Help..."

This time, it came out as a louder croak, and it caught one of the pups' attention. There were three. The nearest pup trotted over, and gasped when he saw the famished little she-pup. "Who are you?" he asked, wide-eyed. The she-pup didn't respond; she simply lowered her head to the ground, and the world went black.

When she awoke, several days later, she was in a den, surrounded by many other wolves. She recognized the three pups and the she-wolf she had seen in the forest. She blinked and sat up. "Where am I?" she asked. "You're in your den, sweetie," the she-wolf cooed. The pup blinked again. "Are you my mum?" she asked. The she-wolf hesitated a moment, then smiled and nodded. "Yes, I am. And these are your brother and sisters. Their names are Beetle, Leaf, and Squeak," she said. The she-pup was still confused. "And what's my name?" she asked. The she-wolf chuckled. "Whatever you want, dear," she replied. The male pup called out, "How about Jelly?" and then broke into a fit of laughter. One of the females batted him on the ear, scolding, "No, her name can't be Jelly! Thats a silly name." But the she-pup shook her head. "No, I like Jelly," she said, smiling.

The mother wolf looked down at her and smiled. "Well, then. Welcome home, Jelly."
