Biography
"You little...!" a gruff voice called out, echoing off the walls of the hole that had been dug the night before expertly outside the den, with the father of the family falling for the prank first. On the surface, an dark grey small fluffball of a pup with exceptionally bright yellow eyes scampered away from the scene, giggling all the while.
This was only the first of that wolf's shenanigans.
For the first few months of the little wolf's life, his family would learn to deal with his dumb jokes, his pranks,his obsession with food, and his overall stupidity. It got to the point where they wouldn't let him go on pack hunts, he would have to stay at the den instead. Of course, so would one of his siblings.. to make sure the little pup didn't get distracted by a butterfly and wander off.
"Screw it, I'm gonna go hunting with the rest of them. It's better than having to sit on my butt and keep my eyes on the likes of you. Just don't die, okay?" said one of his brothers one summer day. He didn't even wait for his sibling to respond, and instead scampered off into the woods.
The pup grinned to himself at the thought of being by himself for a while. Oh, so many things to do, so many pranks to plan! He excitedly scrambled out of the den, wandering around. Hm.. he needed some inspiration. A better lay of the land. He trotted over to a young tree that stood not too far from the den and leaped at it, his claws digging into the bark. And he began to climb.
However, not long after reaching a branch that provided a viable vantage point, a cracking sound split the air around him. A sound that scared the birds out of the tree that currently enveloped him, a sound that made the woods go silent.
A gunshot. Followed by another, and another, and another.
The pup jumped, and then stood frozen in fear in the tree for a second. But a creaking sound was soon heard, interrupting the silence. Soon enough, the tree branch snapped underneath him, and the pup fell to the ground with a thud. The fall snapped him out of his shocked state, and the little one immediately began to run. Not away from the sound, though. No, he was unknowingly running towards it.
The next few moments were a blur. He hardly remembered seeing the bloody grass of the hunting ground, the bodies of wolves that were very familiar to him. Instead, he saw the fall alienish creatures with their shiny stick-like-things, making sounds to one another.
"Damn wolves. They're killin' off all the good game this season."
The first human, the one speaking, was tall and gruff, with a scraggly beard and a hat covering his head. The other one was younger but resembled the first, and wore an odd blue bandanna around his neck. He didn't reply to the other human, though. He sighed and shakily looked away from the scene... and towards the pup.
The two made eye contact, and the pup's heart skipped about six beats. Was this the end? No.. the look in that human's eyes. It was a... I'm-not-going-to-kill-you kind of look.
"C'mon son, let's just head back to the house," said the old one, and immediately the wolf and the young one broke eye contact. The son snapped back to attention, reluctantly following his father... with the wolf pup not so reluctantly following the intriguing bandanna-wearing boy.
Soon they arrived at the house, a faded structure in the middle of nowhere. The father went inside first, and the boy put his hand on the handle to follow when a sound was heard. The subtle sound of a twig breaking. It could have been anything - he did live in the woods, after all - but for whatever reason, the sound of that twig was enough for the boy to turn around. And sure enough, he found himself looking at that strange yellow eyed wolf once again, with a broken twig beneath his paw. Real stealthy.
A long and awkward moment passed between the two, but eventually, the boy walked towards the wolf, and embraced him in a hug. "I'm sorry. I couldn't stop him from killing them..." the boy said, feeling tears run down his face. The wolf, strangely enough, wagged his odd raccoon like tail in response. A slightly smile came across his face, and the boy reflected that smile right back.
And that was the beginning of their friendship.

For the next days, months, and even years to come, the wolf would stop by the boy's house nearly every day. He'd quietly wait in the woods behind his house for him to come out, and the two would play. The wolf taught him how to climb trees, the boy taught him how to stalk rabbits. Sometimes the boy would even bring him food. Food! Real human food! It was better than anything he had ever tasted. They'd pull pranks. They'd race each other. The wolf proved to be quite speedy, in fact. And it was during a race that was, as always, won by the wolf that he earned his name. Dash.
One morning Dash trotted to his waiting spot in the woods behind the boy's house, like usual. And he waited. And waited. Geez, what was taking him so long? Dash grumbled in annoyance, but all of a sudden a rumbling sound cut him off. He watched curiously as a large white truck pulled into the driveway of the house. Some people got out, and not long after he watched as box after box of stuff was hauled into that truck.
The sun was beginning to slip below the horizon, and Dash pondered leaving. Maybe they could play tomorrow. Still, he was intrigued by this boxy looking truck.
All of a sudden the familiar creaking of the back door was heard, and Dash automatically smiled as the familiar scent of the boy filled the air. He looked over, wagged his tail, but soon hesitated. The boy was not happy. He was looking down as he walked towards the wolf hands in his pockets, dried tears staining his cheeks. And soon the two were locked in an embrace once again, as the boy began to cry into Dash's soft dark grey fur.

And so they played like always. They laughed and barked and did everything that they loved to do. But the sky was getting dimmer, and soon they found themselves at their usual departing spot.
"Here," said the boy, reaching behind his neck to untie the bandanna that hung around it. "I want you to have this. Y'know, something to remember me by." He then began to tie the ratty blue piece of fabric around the wolf's neck, carefully tying the knot so that it wouldn't easily slip off. The wolf pawed it, intrigued, and then looked up at the boy and smiled. That same lopsided smile. Which, of course, the boy reflected right back.
"I'm gonna miss you, Dash. You've been my best friend all these years. It's not gonna be the same without you." He patted the wolf's head, and then jumped as the sound of a voice calling was heard in the distance. "Crap, I gotta go. I.. I hope to meet you again, Dash."
And with that, the boy scampered off, leaving the wolf alone and confused, sitting in the edge of the woods with a bandanna that smelled just like him.
For the first few days, Dash would walk up to the house like usual. But no one ever came out to greet him. Eventually he'd appear in his waiting spot less and less, and soon enough, not at all. Dash was still young, after all. He had his own life to live, his own legacy to make. And with the comfort of that boy's bandanna always around his neck, anything was possible.
If you see a yellow eyed, bandanna wearing wolf that looks like an oversized raccoon sleeping in trees or stealing food or attempting to pull of a prank, don't worry. That's just Dash, trying to have a little fun. Because in the end, that's what we all want.

My first ever 55R custom. <3
The idea of making a 55R of my own started off as just a fantasy. Like many, I would go into the custom maker and design wolves and dream that they were mine. But one day, I got an idea. The idea to make my favorite OC into a 55R. You see, Dash has been a character of mine for years, long before I joined Wolfplay. I loved him to pieces then, and I still do now. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a yellow eyed bandanna wearing prankster, eh? ;D But anyways, but idea of making him into a 55R just grew on me... and so I started saving. I hoarded tens of thousands of mush to go and spend it on apples, I sold high rarity wolves, I made avatars, I did it all. And nearly 4 months later, through hard work of my own as well as the generosity of other players, here he is. In all his greyscale glory. And I couldn't be prouder. <3
Like I said earlier, some of the apples it took to make him came from the kindness of others. And there's one player I'd like to give a shoutout too, and that would be Essence. Or, Lexi. Seriously, I can't thank you enough. Not only did you give so much to make this guy possible, you're an amazing friend as well. Those nights where we stay up in livestreams cackling at 3am, they're the best. And I'm just amazed that you were willing to give this much for him. So, thank you. You get free breedings for life. You deserve it. cx
