Biography
Rufus is the 1st alpha male of Feather. He started this pack with Yuki, the white female with back legs. Rufus had two daughters, Chestnut and Sorrel. Chestnut wasn't strong enough to survive the cold and harsh winter. After she died, Yuki started to hate everyone, including Rufus. Since of her attitude toward everyone, they started hating her too. So she was lowered as a Beta, then Omega. Rufus fell in love with Azalea, who are pair bonded now.

I stared at horror as I saw my daughter, who looked just like me, being buried by Lyara and young Whitethroat.
"No." I whispered, my legs trembling. "Give her back, stop...stop it."
Lyara gazed sadly at me, her eyes dull and unfocused like me. "She's gone, Rufus." the tortoise murmured. "Let her be in peace. Chesnut wouldn't wish you to suffer from her death."
"I know." I clawed at the frozen ground furiously. "If only I was there...if only Yuki wasn't alone with them."
"You blame me?" My mate emerged from behind me, hurt in her eyes. "I loved her, Rufus, and I want her back! I'd give my tail if she would come back, but she...she's gone. I do, I do, Rufus, I really should have kept an eye on her, but I couldn't, I swear."
"You couldn't? You couldn't! What's that supposed to mean!?" I towered over her.
"If I'd left Sorrel, she'd be dead too." Yuki whispered, her tail between her legs. "Sorrel was freezing, I had to keep licking her, so the warmth would flow in her. I told Chestnut to stay where she was...but-"
"I don't want to hear it. I won't ever forgive you, Yuki. And I can't be mates with you anymore. I can't trust you."
Anger and hurt flashed in Yuki's eyes. "Fine!" she hissed, stomping away. "Not that I like you anymore!"
I gazed silently after my former mate, then turned to sit vigil for my daughter.
