Hello. I am Painted Ice. Heard of me? Well, you should have. I am one of the most feared Darkseekers, along with Arriving Darkness of course. Ah, Arriving Darkness. I remember when I first met him like it was yesterday. I was walking along beside a small stream, pondering whether to leave my pack or not. Both of my parents were dead, and the alphas hated me. I lapped at the stream and gave out a yelp when the water got into my age long scar. Ack, if I am going to tell you about that, I might as well start at the beginning.
I was born to two loners. I have four siblings. My father left me and my mom right after I was born. My mother, knowing that she could not take care of 5 pups and feed herself, she took us to a pack. That journey was long and hard, and one of my brothers almost died. Anyways, we finally made it. I remember walking through a tunnel of briars, quivering at my mothers side. She led us into the camp, calling out peace. But immediately 4 wolves jumped on her, killing her. I yelped and cried, and my brothers whimpered. The wolves surrounded us, and one lashed out towards my brother. I jumped in front of him,, shielding him from the blow. The wolf's jaws snapped shut on my muzzle, leaving a long cut from ear to nose. I lept back and yelped. The wolf was just about to come in for the kill when he was thrown aside by another wolf, the alpha. The alpha looked at me and my brothers, and then at my mothers dead body. "You fools!" He snarled at the other wolves. "Now we have to take care of these pups! " A young she wolf skittered forward. "I will care for them, my lord." The alpha grunted. "All right. Go." We followed the nice wolf back to a small den. And then we laid down, still whimpering, and slept. Weeks passed. My cut turned into a scar, and ever time I went outside the small den, other pups would start chanting "Scar face! Scar face!"

(Bio continued) I would run back to the den, them nipping at my tail. In those long weeks, I also learned to bond with my "family" and my brother and I became inseparable. He and I ventured outside one day, and the other pups started their chant. This got my brother angry, and he charged at them. He gave the leader a hard bite, and the others all got scratches. He nipped them until they went running to
their dens. Then he bounded over to me and licked my ear. Our victory was short lived though. The alpha bounded out of the cave that one pup had gone into, and I realized that my brother had given the alphas son a scar. I whimpered as he crashed into my brother, and then locked his jaws around his throat. I ran at him and tried to nip him with my puppy teeth, but I could tell it was to late. My brother was hanging limp from his jaws. Since then, me and my brothers were out casts. I gazed into the water, startled to fine my reflection was not alone. I turned around to see a male wolf standing beside me. We chatted for a long time, and finally he had to go. I never returned to my pack. Instead, I made my den near the stream. I met with the he wolf many times, and I knew I was in love. Finally he asked me to be his mate. Wasn't it obvious? We started a pack right away. My past may have been a rocky and sad one, but wih Darkness at my side, I knew that my future was bright.
