A shadow moved along the moorland. Heavy paw steps could be heard with each massive stride the beast took. Eyes of different shades flickered in and out of the darkness, taking in everything around him. He was named specifically for what he did. He siphoned emotions from others. He drained them of their life..slowly...oh so slowly.
It's not that he was evil, or that he meant to. It just happened. Now? Siphon had run away, run away to begin anew. He wished to make his own destiny, not one that had been laid out specifically for him. A sigh escaped the brute's large frame. "A pack. That is the best way to a new life." His deep voice rumbled in the cool, spring air. Finally stepping into the light, the pitch black male stood proud and tall, muscles rippling beneath the coat that appeared to devour any light that touched it.
That's who he was. What he did. He snuffed out..the light. He was...
Siphon.
You see...there once was a prophecy known far and wide. Upon hills and over yonder did every wolf keep the secret, that one day the darkness would grow. One day it would come. One day...there would be no more. Unless, however..there was a savior.

PACK RANKS EXPLAINED
Runes: A Rune is the leader of the Siphorian Night pack. They are your basic alpha. Siphon is the male Rune, and has a special technique that he calls his own.
Templars: A Templar is your beta. They come in second ranking to a Rune, and have control over the pack when a Rune is not present. However, a Templars job is not only to co-lead, but to write down any information the Runes find.
Knights: Knights are the warriors of the pack. Only males can achieve this rank. Females have never been made a Knight before. Their job is to protect the pack at all cost, especially from the impending darkness that looms within the Rune, Siphon.
Dames: Dames are your female warriors of sorts. They are less needed in a fight, and are pushed more towards the art of healing and hunting.
Huntsman: This rank is a special rank designated by the Runes to certain wolves. They are your assassins of a sort, and have various skills and acquiesces with the wildlife and flora around them. Whoever has this rank is a dangerous being, second powerful to a Rune, and even more powerful then a Templar, though their rank is lower on the list.
