Biography
I’d like to say my life was always easy-going, and that I’ve had no problems whatsoever.
But I’d be lying.
My mother rejected me because I was never normal. My brother died in an avalanche on Crow Mountain; my father died in the Fartooth Battle a few days before I was born. All I have left is my brother, the one they call Zeke.
These things didn’t make me vengeful or depressed, but they strengthened me. It is, though, always a battle against the wills-
“Come on, Arctic! You’re missing out! The Alphas confirmed our request, we are permitted to go outside the camp walls!” I snapped out of my reverie to see my little brother before me, and it felt as if I could sense the waves of excitement rolling off of his small frame. I smiled, but it morphed into a fully-fledged grin as his friend, Convel, burst from the underbrush to my left and bowled into Zeke. I stood and stretched as the two males ceased their brawl, looking into my cobalt eyes. A smile tugged at the corner of my lips and I padded out of the den, hearing the boy’s paws trudge through the underbrush after me.

I was nervous and reluctant to go to Crow Mountain, but the two persistent males insisted it. I took a deep breath as I climbed down into the small sinkhole my eldest brother had taken his last breath in. My brother and his friend were already playing down in the gorge, as if the fallen, unstable wall of stones and boulders that had blocked one exit didn’t phase them. I jumped down the last five feet, landing agilely on my paws. I opened my mouth to speak, but didn’t get anything out before a wall of rock came tumbling upon me. The last thing I remember before falling into unconsciousness as a stone hit my head was the terrified cries of the two males as the walls came tumbling down…
