I have never heard of a dart plane. Maybe that would help with the buzzards. Sometimes a hawk will grab a chicken, but the rooster honestly fights a hawk off pretty good. The problem is the buzzards come down and peck newborn calves eyes out and besides cussin and throwing rocks at them we can't really do anything because those are also protected

Thankfully I have no experience with coyote
I so rarely free range chickens because of the blasted eagles
Protected & all that getting fat on my layers
The only thing I could do about it was scare them off with a dart plane

Coyotes are the most annoying thing though. Chickens are up at night so easier to protect, but free range during the day and the coyotes are bold enough to snatch one in the middle of the day and smart enough to do it when the dog isn't around.

Good to know! i've always just thrown a dog in the chicken coop and when it starts barking I come out there with the shotgun. Sometimes she'll just take care of the coon herself though. Nothing like an old heeler dog to keep critters away!

A few years ago there where stacks of coons taking our egs & hens & corn & anything else they could get thei paws on
Put baid in a can tied it to the back of a live trap
Had I guy practically fight me for a coon roadkill earlier this spring
You might have someone in your area want the jackets off them if you dont

Yeah racoons are awful creatures. And they literally are not scared of us at all. I'm out working my horses at dusk and 4 of them literally waddled right past me, looked at me, and kept going past me. I need to ride with my shotgun on my saddle lol

Pyro, for real though. One time we had a pretty young batch of chicks in a rabbit cage with bedding and stuff. The raccoon pulls them apart on and through the bars. It was pretty weird because we didn't even hear it!

Biography
Barandigate was born April 18th, which made him the youngest pup which had survived from the many litters, Karangahake and Bandicoot had tried to conceive.

When Barandigate was in the beta male position, he one day travelled for miles. He met a female, whose name is Sancia, who resides in the Lakiya Roja pack. She is from the Darksiders, but that didn't worry Kareshi, he saw the light and beauty which had shine within her, meeting her over a period of time, they began to get to know one another. Together they planned they would have a litter, and once Sancia came into heat, she and Barandigate bred, the pair going their separate ways soon after. A few weeks past and Barandigate had returned to where they had been meeting, but there was still no sign of Sancia. The day Barandigate was about to turn and leave, Sancia appeared, telling him how she was not able to return. Sancia had told him how the beta male had figured she had been carrying and planned an excuse. The beta male, being kinder, and affectionate had agreed to fake the pups as his, only one, would be spared a chance. Barandigate said his goodbyes to her, feeling once again alone, and disheartened by the news.

Once again on patrol, Barandigate came across a young female, on the outskirts of the Misaki territory late one evening. Being a gentle male, he didn't have the heart to chase her off, so instead he snuck over to her, and pinned her playfully, but he saw she was a little frightened, her got off and moved away. "My name is Barandigate, may I ask of your name?" He said curiously. The female replied "Claudia, my name is Claudia rose" she gasped, warily.

Barandigate grew attached to Claudia, and she with him.

He is part way through asking her to become alpha male with him until Karangahake's last litter is old enough to take over

Personality
Barandigate is a kindly male whom enjoys the company of many. His first mate, Sancia is no longer anywhere to be found. Barandigate has searched far and wide, even presenting himself to the former alpha pair (Sancia's parents) and confessing that he was the one whom Sancia had been mated too. Sancia's parents unfortunately told him that Sancia had long since disappeared and had been pronounced dead. Hearing this, Barandigate told himself that he would never love again.

His former bubbly personality turned into a snappish male, one who was angered by even the slightest of things. On patrol one day, he ran into Claudia Rose, and everything changed.

Preferences
Barandigate is neither confident nor shy. He's an inbetweener and only partakes in a hunting party if invited, otherwise he spends his time with his father, learning from one of the best battle wolves in the area. Barandigate appreciates his father's skills and affection, knowing that if his mother had not found the courage to leave Heiz, he may not have even survived his first year due to being the smallest pup of the litter.


Special Skills
Barandigate doesn't have any fancy-nancy skills. He is learning however and is utterly grateful that his father has the time for him. Barandigate is currently learning how to identify the different species of prey through their tracks and can identify just over half of the species within the area. His next step is to be able to differentiate between a stale track and a fresher track.
