Völund was born a restless pup, full of energy and excitement. From the beginning he was a handful, always getting into trouble. He would stick his nose in a bee's hive, or chase around a porcupine. It was all Yasmin could do to stop him from accidentally killing himself. As Völund grew, he matured some, and learned what dangerous creatures to avoid. However, he still maintained his easy confidence, loping around with a lopsided grin that showed off his teeth. Völund hated to work or study, instead preferring to spend his time going on adventures or exploring the Kingdom. Because of his mother's high position, he was often guarded, and it was his life's mission to create new ways of avoiding those guards. Völund was respected because of his craft, ingenious nature, and warm spirit that he showed to all wolves, regardless of their rank or circumstance.

Völund could be described as annoying, but really is a young wolf with the energy of three pups. He has a fond affection for every wolf in the Kingdom, and demonstrates this affection by lightly teasing them. He's lazy, but in a charismatic, cute way, making it hard for others wolves to try and persuade him to work at all. Völund has a certain spoiled charm about him, and he is used to getting his way, though he doesn't ask for much.
