Biography
In Dragon Age: Origins, there are a series of tests you must do in order to reach the Urn of Sacred Ashes. Vasilia is one of the 8 ghosts you must face and answer in order to pass through one trial without harm. You must answer 8 riddles. Each has a backstory to their riddle, involving The Holy Andraste.
Lady Vasilia's Riddle: "An eye for and eye, a tooth for a tooth. The debt of blood must be paid in full. Of what do I speak?" The Answer: Vengeance.
Vasilia was a cruel woman. This is her backstory for Andraste. "Yes. My husband Hessarian would have chosen a quick death for Andraste. I made him swear that She would die publicly with Her warleaders, that all would know the Imperium's strength. Blood can only be paid with blood."
