Lalit had never loved anyone as a child. No one taught him to love, and he felt no emotions. His face was a mask of nothingness. So why, why did he feel an urging to be near her?

His father had hurt him in teaching him to never show fear. By doing so, he lost his ability to love. Lalit was no coward, but he was afraid of something; he was afraid of love. The way it drew you in made you insane. The way it made you feel drove you nuts. What it did to you, what being in love did to you was a terrible thing. Something he never wanted to experience.

He experienced it on that one fateful day. He shared his story with the girl who took a hold of his heart and kept it safe in the dark. If he had only kept his mouth shut, he wouldn't feel the despair her felt now. Why did she teach him to love?

He was bitter and alone. She was taken away from him and he had no one. All he had was a hollow heart, carved of grief. Why had he learned to love?
