No I completely get you. I've been having some bad luck in breeding as of recent, and using the items seem to "worsen" the pup qualities (I know it is likely personal bias, still infuriating)

Biography
Naga walked along the stone-laden ground, each paw step a loud echo in the underground city. Ah, if only she were back in her original form. This lowly land dweller was all that she could muster in this realm. Her tail, extremely long and whip like, snaked through the air, various ornaments wrapped around it. Atop her head sat two oddly shaped horns. Yes, horns. From these horns black, scale like feathers drifted down her back and across her body. Her fur was sleek and colorful, yet given the right time of day it would be mistaken as darkness. "The Vessels have stopped coming. I wonder why?" The water deity uttered softly. She blinked, her dark cerulean hues scanning the worn down city.

She was alone.

When was she needed last? When was she called upon to bring rain and clouds? To provide such for the others. Yet now..she believed she was one of them. "I will not see myself as such. I am a Naga! A Maharaja Sarpa!" She hissed, the dark, feathery tendrils whipping about around her face. "They will come again, to visit this underground city and beg for forgiveness. Then I will grant them as they wish." And at this, the odd she wolf tilted her head back and let out a wailing howl- too serpentine to be wolfish, and too wolfish to be like that of a supposed water deity.

The Naga is a legendary aquatic, serpentine creature that resides in oceans, rivers, lakes, or waterfalls. Nagas are said to have black scales and can grow to hundreds of feet in length. Nagas are traditionally worshipped as personifications of water deities and considered bringers of rain and clouds. They are guardians of temples and holy places. Most Kaliyatran believe that the superior God direct the actions of the nagas, and these sea serpents are honore with many titles such as "Maharaja Sarpa" and the "Naga who is God". It is commonly believed that nagas live in underground cities, are capable of speech, and can use their heavenly powers to control weather. Also, they can assume humanoid form at will.

"What is it?" She then huffed at Zara once they were far enough away.
