Biography
The sun had just set and once again, he could sense the growing uneasiness radiating from his mother. Frowning and slightly unseated himself, the pup looked into her eyes. She knew something he didn't. He blinked and rubbed her leg with his head, his soft audits tickling her slightly as they slid up and down. The stars twinkled peacefully and the moon was out.
Puzzled, Frost noticed something he hasn't before. The crickets weren't chirping. In fact the pup couldn't see them at all, dead or alive. He looked up at his mother and frowned. She didn't look back at him.
"Ma?" Frost asked, nudging her more urgently. She finally turned her gaze to him and said, "Your father is coming."
Frost whined and backed away. His father hated him for his whiteness, as both his parents had fairly dark coats. The brute considered all defects below him... Even if they were his offspring. And he ate crickets.
Frost buried himself in the bedding as he waited with dread for the scent to reach him. The scent meant abuse. Angry rages. Claws and fights. His weather was like the Devil in a wolf form. And his mother could do nothing to stop him. Sure enough, the stench of crow food, death, and insanity reached him.
And then he fainted.
Frost woke to a searing pain in his side. His father shrieked with glee and cackled, "The bad luck was brought to you by your defect, pup! Albinos are the worst of luck!"
Frost wailed and tried to get away, before there was a crack and his vision went dark instantly.
When he woke, his ears were ringing and his head throbbed. He slowly turned to find his father's body lying mangled and bloody with his mother standing over it.
"Go, Frost. Go. He is dead. Run, run away from this place," the female whispered before she collapsed her breathing slowed, then stopped.
They had both died at the other's paws.
And so he ran.
Spring, summer, fall, and winter ran around twice and he finally had a pack of his own. But there was a difference between now and his former pack life: Frost was the alpha. His mate, a beautiful she-wolf named Queen, stood behind him and her reasoning helped him more than once.
And then, one day, a female for her foot stuck in a trap. The pack took her in and her leg healed. Silver, her name was. She began flirting with Frost, wickedness flowing through her veins. She challenged Queen for the position of alpha female. Queen lost.
Despair filled Frost's heart when Queen ignored his pleas to answer him before she was due to be banished from the pack. He watched her go bitterly, wishing he would have died at the paws of his father instead of going through this. Shortly afterwards, a female named Misty, Silver's mother, captured Queen and told Frost that unless Silver had his pups, Queen would die. Heartbroken and feeling like a traitor, Frost did as he was told to spare Queen's life.
